1977 Toyota Celica Gt Liftback With Lots Of Extras....maryland on 2040-cars

Year:1977 Mileage:1750
Location:

Goldsboro, Maryland, United States

Goldsboro, Maryland, United States

The car needs an engine. It is a 5 spd car with the RARE white interior. The transmission is out of the car, but included. The car is in great shape for this part of the country. The only rust, on the body, is the spot in the pics. All floorpans and trunk floor are SOLID. There are a couple rust areas at the bottom corners of the driver's door. The hood was smashed in by a limb, but the worst of it popped back out. There are some dents that will need repairing and, of course, painting. There are some missing parts. The ones that I am sure of are the rear bumper, the mount for the antenna and the light switch for the passenger door. The front fenders were NEW Toyota fenders that have started to surface rust. The front valence was banged up, so I purchased another from Oregon. The previous owner replaced the shocks and struts with TOYOTA parts. The interior is in great shape and the dash is FANTASTIC! A good dash pad is UNHEARD of in these cars. The rest of the interior is in very good condition. There are a couple tears on the driver's seat. The headliner is not in the car, at this time, but I have it. I have the stock exhaust manifold, covers and down pipe. This is a fantastic candidate for restoration. Now, for the extras......

1) I have all parts needed to change the car over to black interior (except headliner)
2) I have pretty much all parts needed to add a/c to the car
3) New NOS TOYOTA exhaust system!
4) 4 new NOS TOYOTA steel wheels
5) Rear window louvers...They are not attached, just sitting on the car to cut down on pics. Will probably need some mods to get installed.
6) Front spoiler
7) The previous owner sent a lot of the bolts, brackets, and do dads off to be re-cadmium plated. He also had the brake booster cad plated and rebuilt.
8) New NOS TOYOTA chrome trim for the rear glass gasket.
9) I will include another driver's door in case you'd rather use it than repair the other.
10) Loads of spare parts......weatherstripping, extra headliner, windshield washer jugs, trunk floor parts, heater cores, wiper motors, etc.
11) New NOS Toyota transmission crossmember with new mount
12) 6 later model Celica alloy wheels
13) several doors
14) one or two hatch door glasses
15) extra roof panel
16) quarter panel sections good for crash repair.
17) extra set of carpeting (the rear (hatch) section has a mouse chewed hole)
18) extra front bumper
I have a lot more pics, but since eBay only allows 4 pics without shoving their greedy hands down your pants, that's all I have posted. Contact me, with your email address, if you want more pics........

Recharge Wrap-up: Model X pinch sensor update, Karma plans first store

Fri, Aug 26 2016

Tesla has improved Model X pinch sensor function in its latest over-the-air update. As we've seen, the pinch sensors already stop the falcon wing doors from completely shutting when they sense an obstruction. Now, though, the doors retract slightly after the sensors are triggered. While the pre-update doors didn't appear to do as much damage to human fingers as they do to various foodstuffs, it definitely looked uncomfortable, especially when one's hand is stuck in the partially closed door. Now, any pinch that does occur should be brief. See the updated sensors at work in the video above, and read more from Teslarati. Karma Automotive will move to Kawasaki's former headquarters in Irvine, California where it will also open its first store. The revival of the now defunct Fisker will sell its Revero plug-in hybrid through both dealerships and company-owned stores like the one planned for its new two-building campus. The property owner, Bixby, had planned to renovate the site, but now says Karma will make its own improvements. Bixby said it was seeking, "a progressive-minded tenant that would value the unique configuration," and appears to have found just that in Karma. Read more at Electrek, or from the OC Register. San Francisco is asking residents for help in expanding its subways. Using an online tool called Subway Vision, users can draw their own subway lines and stations that they'd like to see built and submit them to planners. Listening to the public is a useful tool for the city because, as Grahm Satterwhite, San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency's principal planner, admits, "Transportation planners may be too close to a problem to see the solution." This approach allows the subway expansions to "reflect the vision of not just a few transportation planners, but of all San Franciscans," he says. Read more from FastCo.Exist. Toyota is continuing its commitment to Yellowstone National Park with a sustainable Youth Campus for environmental education. The automaker donated $1 million to Yellowstone for the facility, which is seeking Living Building Challenge certification. It will have onsite wastewater treatment for its locally sourced water usage, and will generate all of its electricity needs from photovoltaic panels, with excess to put back into the grid. The campus will have classrooms and residences for students and staff for its youth programs.

Toyota begins shipping Le Yaris to America

Fri, 17 May 2013

Our tiniest Toyota (Scion iQ notwithstanding) is about to get a little French flair. The Japanese automaker announced Thursday that its Toyota Motor Manufacturing France facility would begin building Yaris models destined for North America - specifically, the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada. This will mark the first time in history that Toyota has exported vehicles to North America from Europe.
Initially, Toyota will export roughly 25,000 Yaris models to North American markets from France each year. In order to handle this additional production, Toyota Motor Manufacturing France has invested 10 million euro into its French facility.
Despite being somewhat of a snooze-fest (it's a car!), the Yaris carries on in North America with a 106-horsepower 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, with prices starting at $14,370 for the three-door and $15,395 for the five-door, not including $795 for destination.

2014 Toyota Tundra appears with revised styling, same mechanicals

Thu, 07 Feb 2013

Toyota has pulled the curtain back on its 2014 Tundra, showing a truck that has gotten its most significant refresh since its launch as a 2007 model. For better or worse, however, the changes that Toyota has made to the fullsize pickup are mostly cosmetic, with the underpinnings of the vehicle staying unchanged.
The most obvious revision for 2014 is to the bluff front fascia of the truck. There's a new, taller squared-off grille decorating the Tundra's nose, along with a revised, three-part front bumper design. The optional black grille-frame strikes us as an acquired taste, to say the least, but other models, like the Limited above, is all clad in chrome. Fenders and wheel wells are more square than in the out-going truck, too. Perhaps most significant is the revised bed design, which Toyota calls "all-new," with new sheet metal on the sides, a revised tailgate and a very subtle integrated spoiler.
Inside, Toyota has given buyers some new seats and a new-look instrument panel. A backup camera (always handy on big trucks) is now standard equipment on all grades, as is Bluetooth connectivity. Blind spot monitoring is a new, optional feature as well. In all, as with the exterior mods, the changes in-cabin are far more evolutionary than revolutionary.
