2011 Toyota Camry LE 2.5L L4 FI DOHC 16V with remaining Factory Warranty

About the 2010 Camry:

We purchased this off lease 2010 Camry LE on 7/18/2013. The Camry was originally purchased in Duncan, SC and the owner turned it in after their lease expired. At the time we purchased the vehicle it had 33,508 miles.  The odometer now shows 33,611 and there may be a few more before the end of the auction. The vehicle is for sale locally at our dealership and listed with our corporate clients so there will be test drives and the mileage might change a little.  The car runs and drives beautifully and is very clean.  It's about as close to "as new" as you can get.  We drove it from Charlotte NC to Greenville SC after the purchase and it drove perfectly.  Literally, there is nothing that needs to be done to this vehicle.  It is Certified and ready to go!

AutoCheck Report scores similar vehicles between 83-88.  This Camry scores 93.  Please see the attached pictures.  The only flaw I found during the clean up was a small scratch on the left front fender so I included a close up of the flaw.

There is about a month left on the factory warranty, and we are adding our own 90 day or 5000 mile warranty to give you peace of mind with your new purchase.   If you should decide you want a longer warranty plan, we have several available at substantial discounts. Let us know and we will be glad to give you a quote on additional coverage.

About our dealership:

Carolina Internet Autos specializes in low mileage Honda and Toyota vehicles but we have access to thousands of vehicles each week.  So if you are outbid on this particular vehicle or if you are looking for something particular or a different price point, let us know. We have multiple sources where we can get these top quality cars every week and will be glad to find a vehicle that fits your needs.  We are not your typical dealership. We won't hide anything about the car, but will do our very best to describe all features and observations we have about the car with you.  If we leave off anything that you have a particular question about, please ask us and we will be honest with you in our replies.

Every vehicle we sell comes with an AutoCheck report for you to review.  We also do a detailed 88 point quality inspection to make this a Certified Used Car. While all these things cost us extra, we believe it is important to our customers to have all the information available on the vehicle to make an informed decision.  We have a low cost overhead structure at our dealership and pass those savings on to you as well.  We believe in fairly pricing each vehicle so you have a top quality vehicle that will last for a long time, and not worrying about being "gouged" like other dealers are inclined to do.  We are not high pressure car salesmen, but consultants that are here to help you find a quality vehicle you will be happy with.  The buying experience shouldn't be misery, and we will do everything in our power to make it an enjoyable experience for you.  TRY US OUT!!!!

Toyota recalls 690,000 Tacoma trucks for rusty leaf springs, fire risk

Mon, 29 Sep 2014

Toyota has announced that it will be issuing a recall of 690,000 Tacoma pickups from model years 2005 through 2011. The affected vehicles include both the four-wheel-drive model and the two-wheel-drive PreRunner (but not the standard 4x2 pickups), which may have a rather serious problem with their rear suspensions.
In some cases, corrosion and stress could cause one of the three or four leaves in the rear suspension's leaf springs to fracture. While the trucks can still be driven with a broken leaf, Toyota is concerned that it could move out of position and impact other components in the rear of the truck, with a particular focus on the fuel tank. Needless to say, but a piece of metal continuously impacting anything, let alone the fuel tank, is cause for concern.
As of this writing, there have been no reports of crashes, injuries, fires or deaths due to this problem, although that won't stop Toyota from informing all affected customers of the issue. Those 690,000 owners will need to report in to dealers for inspections and, if necessary, repairs.

Despite slow sales, no new Scion models in near-term pipeline [w/poll]

Mon, 09 Sep 2013

According to a top Toyota executive, the Japanese automaker will not be introducing any fresh Scion models in the near future, Reuters reports. As of August, Scion sales for this year were down 1.6 percent from 2012 and accounted for only 0.3 percent of Toyota's overall US sales. And last month, Toyota Motor Sales USA Senior Vice President Bob Carter informed the 1,000 dealers who carry Scion that they can drop the brand without penalty.
However, never fear - Carter has assured that, while nothing new is coming for at least six months, the company is still very committed to the quirky Scion brand. Toyota launched Scion, which targets the youth market, in 2003, and sales peaked in 2006. The brand currently has five models, with the 2013 best-sellers being the FR-S sports coupe followed by the tC sedan and xB hatchback.
What do you think about Toyota's decision to hold off on introducing new or refreshed Scion models? Are they heading in the right direction, or does this spell doom for the funky Gen Y brand?

Bring back the Bronco! Trademarks we hope are actually (someday) future car names

Tue, Mar 17 2015

Trademark filings are the tea leaves of the auto industry. Read them carefully – and interpret them correctly – and you might be previewing an automaker's future product plans. Yes, they're routinely filed to maintain the rights to an iconic name. And sometimes they're only for toys and clothing. But not always. Sometimes, the truth is right in front of us. The trademark is required because a company actually wants to use the name on a new car. With that in mind, here's a list of intriguing trademark filings we want to see go from paperwork to production reality. Trademark: Bronco Company: Ford Previous Use: The Bronco was a long-running SUV that lived from 1966-1996. It's one of America's original SUVs and was responsible for the increased popularity of the segment. Still, it's best known as O.J. Simpson's would-be getaway car. We think: The Bronco was an icon. Everyone seems to want a Wrangler-fighter – Ford used to have a good one. Enough time has passed that the O.J. police chase isn't the immediate image conjured by the Bronco anymore. Even if we're doing a wish list in no particular order, the Bronco still finds its way to the top. For now (unfortunately), it's just federal paperwork. Rumors on this one can get especially heated. The official word from a Ford spokesman is: "Companies renew trademark filings to maintain ownership and control of the mark, even if it is not currently used. Ford values the iconic Bronco name and history." Trademarks: Aviator, AV8R Company: Ford Previous Use: The Aviator was one of the shortest-run Lincolns ever, lasting for the 2003-2005 model years. It never found the sales success of the Ford Explorer, with which it shared a platform. We Think: The Aviator name no longer fits with Lincoln's naming nomenclature. Too bad, it's better than any other name Lincoln currently uses, save for its former big brother, the Navigator. Perhaps we're barking up the wrong tree, though. Ford has made several customized, aviation themed-Mustangs in the past, including one called the Mustang AV8R in 2008, which had cues from the US Air Force's F-22 Raptor fighter jet. It sold for $500,000 at auction, and the glass roof – which is reminiscent of a fighter jet cockpit – helped Ford popularize the feature. Trademark: EcoBeast Company: Ford Previous Use: None by major carmakers.
