Vehicle Description:

This is a 7-Day NO RESERVE auction for a 1995 Toyota Camry LE!  HIGH BIDDER WINS!

Only 97K Original miles - Ice Cold A/C - 4x4!!  Check out the pictures & video!

This Camry runs & drives extremely well!  Only 97K miles, which is extremely low for a 1995!  This Camry was traded in at a new car import dealership and we purchased the vehicle from them.  I have driven this vehicle for the over last 100 miles and it is very nice!  The 4-cylinder engine runs strong with plenty of power.  The automatic transmission shifts smooth with no issues at all.  This Camry is loaded with lots of options like power locks/windows/mirrors, cruise control, multiple-way adjustable driver seat, cold air conditioning, and so much more.  Mechanically, this Camry is in very good condition.  I have not noticed any leaks on the ground where this Toyota has been sitting.  The brakes stop the car smooth and straight.  While driving the steering & suspension components appears to be in very good shape with no abnormal noise at all.  The 4 matching BF Goodrich Touring T/A 195/70/14 tires have plenty of tread remaining and the vehicle drives straight down the road - no pulls or drifting while driving.  A very particular buyer may note a very very very slight vibration in the steering wheel on the expressway but it is very small.  No driveline noise/vibrations at all.  Engine & Transmission run very nicely.  Engine starts quickly, idles and runs out with no hesitation.  Transmission has zero issues and shifts very smooth in all gears.  Overall, this vehicle drives extremely nicely for its age and mileage.  All the power options work like they should including the power seats, sunroof, mirrors, windows, etc.  The climate control works on this Toyota as it should - the blows air on all blower levels and wherever you want it to (vents, defroster, etc).  The AC is blowing cold.  This Camry is equipped with an AM/FM/Cassette player  - the radio powers up and works properly with sound coming from all speakers although the power antenna doesn't appear to work and is stuck half up which gives plenty of radio reception.  There are no check engine lights or other "dummy lights" illuminated on the dash.  All of the gauges read properly and there are no abnormal readings. The engine runs smooth with no lack of power at all.   A particular buyer may note that there is a very tiny exhaust noise, but it is still quiet and not very noticeable while driving.  Overall, this is an extremely nice running and driving vehicle!  Cosmetically -- this car looks in quite good shape. The exterior paint is in good condition and has a nice shine.  The body is nearly rust-free, just a little bubbling near the driver's rear tire well.  All glass is in-tact and in good condition.  The interior is in quite nice condition with no rips, major discoloration, or foul odors  A thorough steam cleaning would probably bring this interior back to perfect shape.  This car looks to have been smoke-free - no evidence of burns and the cigarette lighter looks never used.   Check out the pictures - they speak for themselves!  I have tried to capture both the positives and the flaws in those pictures.  There is a dent in the driver's side front fender that has a quarter size area of paint touched up where it meets the bumper, there is some small paint cracking on the hood, and the paint on the wiper arms is coming off.  These are minor imperfections that are consistent with the age and miles of this vehicle.  Overall, this Camry shows very nice and will be a vehicle that you can be proud of!

I have tried my best to represent this vehicle accurately and to the best of my abilities.  Earning and keeping a 100% positive feedback rating is very important to me!  I purchase most of my vehicles as trade-ins from new car dealerships as traded. I test drive each vehicle on the expressway and around town for at least 20 miles, often over 100 miles, and use that experience to represent the vehicle to you on eBay.  Please remember that you are buying a used vehicle and that a certain amount of wear/use/flaws are to be expected on any used vehicle -- including this one.  You are welcome and encouraged to come check out this vehicle for yourself and take it for a test drive before the auction ends.  I have included over 50 pictures and a YouTube video - please check out them out.   Feel free to email/call me (Michael) at 734-717-3653 with specific questions and I will do my best to answer them.

Auction Details & Payment Information:

The vehicle is for sale locally as well so auction can end at any time.  Bid with confidence as I have represented the vehicle well.  There will be a $100 documentation fee added on to each vehicle sold.  A $500 deposit is required within 24 hours of the auction ending via paypal.  The remaining balance will need to be paid within 7 days of the end of the auction by Cash or Cashier's Check.  If you need financing, please have that arranged BEFORE the auction ends.

Toyota FCV puts hydrogen fuel cell twist on ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Fri, Aug 22 2014

You've probably seen your fair share of Ice Bucket Challenge videos online this week, which are meant to raise money to fight amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), often called "Lou Gehrig's Disease." Hopefully, you've seen ours. We've watched a lot of these videos, but haven't seen one that makes an alt-fuel point quite like a new video from Toyota. Julie Hamp, the CCO of Toyota North America, lost a sister-in-law to ALS last year, so for her the cause is personal. Instead of just dumping icy-cold water on her head, Hamp uses water from the FCV fuel cell vehicle parked next to her. Because, of course, a hydrogen fuel cell car emits nothing but water vapor. Toyota didn't run a lot of hydrogen through the car to collect water, it just got enough to top off the ice bucket. Using the water emissions from a hydrogen vehicle in a creative way is not a new trick. Two years ago, the California Fuel Cell Partnership made the point that you can drink the emissions (just like Mercedes-Benz did earlier this year), but admitted that "fuel cells produce about the same amount of water as gasoline vehicle – about 1/3 cup for a full day of driving." Still, for a good cause, we'll accept the mix of tap water and "emissions." Check out the video below, if you haven't had enough already. This content is hosted by a third party. Toyota Expands Airbag Recall To 2.2 Million Vehicles Worldwide

Wed, Jun 11 2014

Was your Toyota inspected under the company's recall campaign for faulty airbag inflators last year? You might have another trip ahead to have it repaired again. The automotive giant says that it found "the involved serial numbers provided by the supplier were incomplete, and did not include all of the potentially involved inflators," according to its official announcement. That means more replacements are needed. Toyota's April 2013 inflator recall covered the Corolla, Matrix and Tundra from the 2003 and 2004 model years, the Sequoia from 2002 to 2004 and the Lexus SC 430 from 2002 to 2004. At the time, the company said it would need to inspect about 510,000 vehicles in the US but only expected to replace around 170,000 inflators. However, the latest announcement increases that figure to about 766,300 vehicles in the US. Toyota spokesperson Cindy Knight told Autoblog that the new amount is the combination of owners who need to have their vehicle looked at again and those who didn't come in for the initial recall. The company learned about the problem when Takata, the supplier, provided it with an improved list of the faulty part's serial numbers. According to The Detroit Free Press, the latest recall affects about 2.27 million vehicles from them worldwide. Knight said owners would receive notification of the problem around the end of the month but repairs would come in phases because the automaker doesn't have all of the necessary parts at the moment. The original problem occurred because the front passenger airbag inflator from Takata could have an improper propellant that could cause it to burst in an accident and not allow the airbag to deploy properly. Toyota inspected all the vehicles listed but only changed the inflators with specific serial numbers. Now, it's replacing them all. This wasn't just a problem for Toyota, though. Honda, Nissan and Mazda also used the faulty inflators and issued recalls at the same time. Autoblog has contacted the other Japanese automakers about whether similar campaigns are necessary for them. We will update this story, if we hear back from them. Scroll down to read Toyota's announcement. UPDATE: Honda spokesperson Jessica Howell sent along the following statement: Honda is aware that Toyota recently announced a recall of front passenger's airbag inflators. Honda is not aware of any incidents in our vehicles related to Toyota's action. We are currently investigating the potential implications to Honda vehicles.

Toyota amalgamates motorsports divisions under Gazoo Racing

Fri, Apr 10 2015

Toyota has more racing divisions than we could wave a checkered flag at, with the company's various motorsport activities all coordinated by different operations. But the Japanese industrial giant is now bringing most (if not all) of them under one roof. From here on in, any racing that was done under the Toyota Racing, Lexus Racing or Gazoo Racing banners will now be united under the latter. That includes the LFAs it races around the Nurburgring, the TS040 Hybrid it fields at Le Mans and in the World Endurance Championship, the Yaris it will soon throw at the World Rally Championship, the Lexus racers that compete in the Super GT championship back in Japan... the works. The move does not appear to affect Toyota Racing Development, the automaker's American arm that handles its NASCAR racing activities, but from here on out, any Toyota or Lexus you see racing on most anything but a speedway will be competing under Gazoo Racing. The move appears to be more than symbolic and semantic, putting its racing vehicle development, technical support and marketing activities in the hands of the new Motor Sports Group. In announcing the consolidation, Toyota highlights in particular the benefit its various racing programs bring to its talent pool, if not the direct effect they have on the company's vehicles themselves. Toyota Racing, Lexus Racing and GAZOO Racing Unite Under GAZOO Racing Toyota City, Japan, April 9, 2015-Starting April 11, Toyota will unite all motorsports activities under GAZOO Racing. The move will clarify the role of Toyota's motorsports in its efforts to make ever-better cars and foster new generations of car enthusiasts. Until now, Toyota has participated in competitions around the world-including the World Endurance Championship (WEC), the Super GT in Japan, and the Nurburgring 24 Hours endurance race-through the separate Toyota Racing, Lexus Racing and GAZOO Racing teams. Of those, GAZOO Racing in particular was created to expand the role of promoting motorsports beyond that of traditional automakers, and carry out grassroots activities aimed at creating new and ever-growing generations of car enthusiasts. Concerning today's announcement, Toyota President Akio Toyoda said: "Our founder Kiichiro Toyoda once said that motorsports are vital to the evolution of car making and the entire auto industry.
