This vehicle is located in the San Jose/Santa Clara region of California better known as the South Bay or the Silicon Valley, Please be aware that the vehicle must be towed from the property even though it has been registered with the DMV and I have the paper work to verify it. The vehicle "DID NOT" pass smog so the tags even though paid for had lapsed because it did not pass the smog within the 90 day time limit the DMV gives.

From what I was told by the DMV and from what I understand the new owner if the wish to register it would only need to pay the reinstatement fee for the tags not the full amount. But I am not the DMV or a legal person so you will need to contact the DMV to find out what fees are due to get your tags. The vehicle is being sold "AS IS" and is considered non operable even though it had been driven until 2months ago when it failed to pass smog. Below is a list of items that my friend made up to show that these New parts have been replaced within the past 4 months of the vehicle running.

Here is what it entails; I am "PARTING OUT" whole car only not piece by piece a 1987 Toyota Camry 180k miles, I replaced over $1,500 in new parts not counting labor over the past four months. The reason for no labor charges is since I'm disabled I had the work done not by a dealership but by student mechanics at CET automotive training school in downtown San Jose. This saved me a lot of money since I could not afford the dealer prices for repairs. The car is in somewhat running condition. What I mean by that is up until a couple of weeks ago I drove the vehicle a few times a week to my Dr. appointments but the driver’s side front bearing went out and I just couldn't afford to throw more good money after bad and put any more parts on this car. I purchased a newer used vehicle and just want to sell this to someone who may want to repair it or use the new parts on another Toyota they own. I just want to recoup some of the money I invested.

Here are some of the items replaced in the past four months, Sway bar, sway bar bushings, sway bar mount plate, outer tie rod ends, rotor, brake pads, rebuilt calipers, new water pump, Tires are good more than half tread is left on it, 4 new shock assemblies, new shock mounting kits, lower control arms, lower control arm bushings, new ignition assembly with coil and cap, new fuel control solenoid, new spark plug wires, new spark plugs, fuseable link, brand new starter, new timing belt, new serpentine belt, New water pump, new thermo control module, new oil and filter, flushed radiator, charged air condition unit which is really cold and multiple miscellaneous items like head lights, break lights, vacuum hoses, water hoses etc.

The engine runs and so does the transmission but it started acting funny where it took a few seconds after I hit the gas for it to take off so not sure if the transmission is all that good for a long time a mechanic said it was just probably an actuator switch. The engine turns over and runs but with the bearing on the wheel now making noise I had to have it towed back to the house and it sits in my driveway. So you will need to have it towed as it can't be driven in the condition it is in. There is a little damage on the passenger side door and the front panel from a jerk who came to close to me but other than that the interior is not torn or ripped and everything works including the stereo system. It may sound like I know what I'm talking about but I don't I had a friend write all the parts that were replaced for me.

I'm asking only $800.00 O.B.O. I’m disabled and I live on a fixed income and I feel this is a fair offer. I am losing money on it but would like to pay my family member back some of the money they loaned me for my newer used car. Sometimes you just need to cut your losses and move forward.

NHTSA opens safety investigations into Toyota, GM and Honda crossovers

Fri, 08 Jun 2012

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is evidently keeping itself very busy these days, as the federal agency has just announced it is launching or renewing investigations into Toyota, Honda and General Motors crossovers.
2006-2008 model year Toyota RAV4 crossovers are under review for allegations of rear tie-rod rust which can result in failure. NHTSA also said it is probing some 35 complaints about 2005 Honda Pilot models with inappropriate activation of the vehicles' stability control system. The alleged malfunction can cause the vehicles to slow down or stop in bad unsafe situations. At the moment, NHTSA is reviewing a petition regarding the Pilot issue, a move that will determine whether it needs to open a full-blown investigation.
In addition, Saturn Outlook and GMC Acadia three-row crossovers built in 2007-2009 are getting looked at for "loss of low beam headlamp" function. One complainant said the wiring in his Outlook overheated and melted. NHTSA says it has received 415 complaints about the problem and a GM spokesman confirmed that the automaker already started a "Customer Satisfaction Program" in December to address the issue.

Forza Horizon 3 car list keeps on truckin'

Tue, Aug 9 2016

We've covered three weeks of car reveals for Forza Horizon 3, and this time we get a better look at the trucks, SUVs and other off-roaders you'll be able to use to explore Australia. This week's list kicks things off with two of the most legendary off-roaders in the world, the Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser and the Meyers Manx. They have different purposes; the FJ40 is for tough trail work and the Manx is for some light-hearted beach fun. But no one could deny the cultural importance of either. And both should be a blast in Horizon 3. In addition to this pair of classics, players will have a chance to get behind the wheel of both a race version of the Ford F-150 Raptor and its closest rival, the Ram Runner. And when traditional vehicles start to get boring, why not take out a full-blown Baja racer such as the Penhall Cholla or the Rockstar energy drink version of the little Polaris RZR XP 1000 side-by-side? Forza Horizon 3 is shaping up to have one of the most diverse car lists in a racing game in a long time. There are still cars left to be revealed, so stay tuned for further installments and see this week's full list below. 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 2002 Ferrari 575M Maranello 1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth 2013 Ford Focus ST 1973 Ford Escort RS1600 1971 Ford Falcon XY GTHO Phase III 2014 Ford Fiesta ST 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor Race Truck 1954 Jaguar XK120 SE 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT 2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 1986 Lancia Delta S4 2009 Lexus IS F 1957 Maserati 300 S 1994 Mazda MX-5 Miata 1967 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series 1971 Meyers Manx 2012 Mini John Cooper Works GP 1998 Nissan R390 1979 Opel Kadett C GT/E 2011 Penhall The Cholla 1971 Plymouth Cuda 426 Hemi 2015 Polaris RZR XP 1000 EPS Rockstar Edition 2013 Ram Runner 1993 Renault Clio Williams 1990 Subaru SVX 1979 Toyota FJ40 2005 TVR Sagaris 1990 Vauxhall Lotus Carlton Related Video: News Source: Playground Games / MicrosoftImage Credit: Playground Games / Microsoft Auto News Toys/Games Ford RAM Toyota forza exclusive ford f-150 raptor forza horizon forza horizon 3 toyota fj40 meyers manx

4th-gen Toyota Prius production delayed by 6 months

Mon, 30 Jun 2014

If you were holding off buying a new car in anticipation of the fourth-generation Toyota Prius arriving in 2015, your wait might be a little longer. Company insiders are claiming that production of the bestselling hybrid is being pushed back from spring to possibly as late as December 2015. Toyota is reportedly still making alterations to make sure everything is just right before it unleashes the all-important, efficient hatch on a waiting public.
According to unnamed sources speaking to Automotive News Europe, the main reasons for the delay aren't completely known. It's believed the engineers are still working on making the hybrid powertrain more efficient and improving the new Toyota Global Architecture modular platform. The insiders claim that the final production prototype of the Prius is still under development, and it might be November before it's finalized. From there, it usually takes around 12 months to tool up and for the first car to roll off the assembly line. It would be another year after that before the plug-in variant starts assembly. The national manager of Toyota Product Communications, Michael Kroll, told AutoblogGreen, "As you might expect, we can't comment on future product plans."
Despite the delay, some potential details have already emerged about the new hybrid. A company spokesperson recently told Autoblog via email that Toyota is engineering the next-gen Prius to have smaller, more power-dense electric motors and greater thermal efficiency. The new modular platform is also rumored reduce weight, and the changes could lead to a targeted 10 percent improvement in fuel economy.
