For sale is a 2011 Toyota Avalon 4 door Limited Sedan. This vehicle has only 12,300 miles. It is in excellent condition. It still has Toyota Care free maintenance for 9 more months or 12,000 miles whichever comes first. It still has 20 months or 24,000 miles left on the bumper to bumper warranty. It is the limited option package with added options of sunroof,navigation,floor mats,locking wheels,cargo mat, cargo net and first aid kit. I purchased new in March 2012 from Irwin Motors, Laconia NH. It has a build date of 11/2011. It has averaged over 25.8 mpg since purchase. I recently retired and no longer need 2 vehicles. Chevy Bolt wins 2017 Green Car of the Year
Thu, Nov 17 2016We knew that a plug-in vehicle was going to win the 2017 Green Car of the Year award this year, given that all five finalists have a way to charge up. And when Ron Cogan, the editor and publisher of Green Car Journal, announced the winner – the 2017 Chevy Bolt EV – he said that the car itself represents one of those times in the auto industry when everything is about to change. Similar to the invention of the starter motor, things are about to get different. For now, though, the fact that the Bolt EV won an award sounds like the same old thing all over again. Just this week, it was named Motor Trends Car of the Year and to the Car And Driver Top 10 list. The other four finalists for Green Car of the Year included the Toyota Prius Prime, the Chrysler Pacifica, the Kia Optima (including hybrid and plug-in hybrid models) and the BMW 330e iPerformance. Toyota will steer clear of driverless cars
Thu, 04 Sep 2014Toyota executives say the company's primary focus is on safety. At least for the time being, that means the company won't pursue development of a driverless car.
Speaking at the company's advanced safety seminar in Ypsilanti, MI, Thursday morning, Seigo Kuzumaki, Toyota's deputy chief safety technology officer, said that Toyota envisions a future driving environment that optimizes the best of both humans and computers, not choosing one over the other.
