We are selling our 2003 Toyota 4Runner Limited, 4WD, V6.  It's black with tan interior. Extremely well cared for. In immaculate condition. A two owner vehicle with a clean California title. Loaded with most options including: leather seats, JBL stereo, alloy wheels, power heated seats, sunroof, side and curtain airbags, Homelink, and more. The subwoofer stopped working last year and was replaced (by a professional audio shop) with a Kicker sub powered by a small amp which now sounds significantly better than the original. The vehicle has been serviced at the Toyota dealership every 3,000 miles for all scheduled service items including oil changes since it was brand new. I have every repair receipt as well as 3 sets of keys, owner's manual, and the original window sticker. Vehicle was always garaged. Adult driven since new. Never used off road or for towing. No accidents and no paintwork. Rust free California car. Completely stock. Mechanically, everything works perfectly - vehicle rides extremely smooth and quiet, transmission shifts smooth and the 4WD system engages with no noise, jolts, or clunks. The vehicle is rattle free. A non-smoker's car and there are no foul odors. Clean headliner. No curb rash on the rims. There have been no mods or add-ons to the car. Recent Michelin tires and brakes all around. Recent battery as well. The car needs absolutely nothing. The exterior has two minor imperfections: a small 3 inch gash on the left front bumper and a small (1/4 inch) paint chip on the left rear bumper (see photos of these).  There are also a few light (and very small) scratches that are barely noticeable from a few feet away (could not get these to show up in any photos). Otherwise, the body is perfect and dent free with smooth glossy paint. Interior-wise, it's basically perfect with the exception of the driver's seat which has some light wear and tear (see photo) and the carpets have a few stains. Again, nothing too noticeable but want to fully disclose everything. The only reason I am selling is because my wife and I have another SUV and we recently got a company car.

Please feel free to email me for my telephone number if you would like additional information.

I will also be happy to assist with having the vehicle inspected and shipping if necessary.  However, any inspections will have to be conducted prior to end of auction.

No reserve.  My starting bid is lower than any 4th generation 4WD Limited currently on the market. A deposit of $1,500 is due within 48 hours of end of auction.

Finally, to keep the bidding fair and legitimate, bidders with a feedback score of 10 or less must contact me prior to bidding or your bid will be cancelled.

Join Autoblog editors for a full video tour of the 2019 Detroit Auto Show

Thu, Jan 17 2019

The 2019 North American International Auto Show might have been a little more quiet than past years, but there were still some pretty major reveals, including the Toyota Supra, new Ford Explorer, Shelby GT500, Subaru WRX STI S209 and Kia Telluride. We also saw some lovely concepts like the Nissan IMs and Lexus LC Convertible. Senior Editor Alex Kierstein, Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski and Senior Green Editor John Beltz Snyder join me, Associate Editor Reese Counts — with Social Media Manager Michael Dylan Ferrara behind the camera — on a long walk through the show. We discuss cars, poke around the stands, dress a bloody wound and answer your questions in the Facebook comments. For more Detroit coverage, you can check out Autoblog's picks for the best in show, listen to our podcast or look at the best images from all the reveals. Finally, don't forget to watch Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore hand over our 2019 Technology of the Year award. Watch this video diary of a 900-hp Toyota Supra build

Sat, 08 Jun 2013

If you've ever looked at a car with nearly 1,000 horsepower and wondered why anyone needs that amount of thrust, you may want to take a look at the video below. In it, one gentleman details his descent into Toyota Supra madness, starting with a pristine factory example and stumbling down the rabbit hole of modification. What makes this particular clip interesting is just how honest the owner is as he explains the evolution of his car. He doesn't just prattle off a list of parts like he's reading the menu at an IHOP.
Instead, he painstakingly pulls us through the car's growth, detailing each iteration and what pushed him to the next stage of the build every time. From this point of view, it looks less like someone walked into a shop and lit a massive stack of $100 bills on fire and more like a quasi-logical progression of events. Or at least it does to me. You can check out the build in the video below, complete with plenty of Fast and the Furious references and racing. Win, win, win.

Toyota confirms 2014 Highlander is in a New York state of mind

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

Toyota has confirmed that it will be showing off the all-new 2014 Highlander at the New York Auto Show later this month. It's been a while since we've heard about the updated Highlander, but given just how long this thing has been on the market, we certainly hope that the list of changes will be more extensive than the new 2014 Toyota Tundra that debuted in Chicago last month.
Currently, the Highlander is offered in both naturally aspirated and hybrid versions, with front- and all-wheel drive. We don't expect the formula to change too much, since sales of the Japanese CUV are still steady - well in line with newer players in the segment like the Ford Explorer, Nissan Pathfinder and GM's Lambda triplets (Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave).
We'll have the full skinny on the new Highlander in the coming weeks. For now, scroll down to read Toyota's incredibly brief press blast.
