Well maintaned 4runner.  Runs well with no known defects.  Not pictured is a front brush guard and matching spare tire with the alloy rims as pictured.  The non-matching rim pictured comes with the purchase.  Also the drivers seat has been replaced with a not matching red seat which is functionally in good shape.  This is a southwest vehicle without the rot deterioration as seen from the rust belt states.  Paint looks good at 10 feet.  However, there several parking lot dings and scratches which would be expected to be seen on a vehicle of this age.  To my knowledge the paint is origional.  The vehicle can be seen in Flagstaff, Arizona.

This vehicle is sold AS IS WHERE IS with no warranty.  Please check it out before you bid since the wining bid is a binding contract.  $500.00 non-refundable deposit is due 24 hours after the action close.  The remainer is due in seven days.   The Vehicle can be stored for a period of time to arrange for transportation to where ever you wish to ship it.   Arrangements for this storage must be made at time of bid completion with winner disclosing that storage would be needed.  All transportation costs are the buyers responsibilty, but I will work with your transporter in loading and transporting the vehicle.  The vehicle will not  be released until all payments clear  (no exceptions) and the title will be delivered only to the buyer at that time.  I have a clear Arizona title in hand.  I reserve the right to end this auction at any time since the vehicle is for sale locally.  Questions regaring the vehicle condition can be directed thru ebay or direct to Jesse Bowles at 928 380 4468.  For purposes of full discolosure, the listing is being made by the owner's grandfather who will handle the title and money transaction for the grandson.

Toyota CamRally is vanilla spiced

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

We weren't quite sure it was possible, but NASCAR driver Parker Kligerman and the other folks behind this Toyota Dream Build Challenge vehicle (check out the other cars in the challenge) have made the Camry, a versatile but vanilla family sedan, into a performance car to be reckoned with. And by stripping it (literally) of its versatility and injecting some spice into it, this rally-spec Camry does indeed appeal to the enthusiast crowd.
The appeal starts with the CamRally's vintage Toyota racing colors of red, orange and yellow painted on a widened body. Those wide fender flares and rocker panels, paired with the revised front and rear fascias (and massive rear spoiler), lend the car an aggressive look without being tacky, and enhance the aerodynamics. But peel back the skin and you'll find plenty of performance upgrades to back up the looks.
While Toyota doesn't say how much horsepower it makes, the CamRally's V6 is turbocharged, and we assume the car's brake upgrade is indicative of the engine's increased output. The stripped interior only contains what's needed for rally racing, including bucket seats, a motorsport steering wheel covered in Alcantara, a carbon-fiber dashboard and a roll cage.

Suzuki will road-test EVs in India, start production with Toyota in 2020

Fri, Sep 7 2018

NEW DELHI — Japan's Suzuki Motor Corp will start testing prototypes of electric vehicles in India by October, its chairman said on Friday. "We will start road-running tests using a fleet of 50 EV prototype vehicles in India from next month in order to develop safe and easy-to-use EVs for Indian customers," Osamu Suzuki said at the Global Mobility Summit at New Delhi. The company would then launch EVs in India around 2020 in cooperation with Toyota, he added. However, Suzuki said that for EVs to become popular in India, there had to be well-developed charging infrastructure. "In this regard, we look forward to proactive leadership from the Indian government," he said. The government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a plan to electrify all new vehicles by 2030, a target many experts call ambitious. EVs are expensive due to the high cost of batteries which are still not manufactured in India, and carmakers say a lack of charging stations could make the proposition unviable. Suzuki, parent of India's top-selling automaker, Maruti Suzuki, would start production of lithium-ion batteries for automobiles at its plant in western India from 2020, Suzuki said. India is one of the world's fastest-growing car markets, but EV sales are negligible compared with millions of petrol and diesel cars sold every year. Suzuki said to meet India's environmental challenges, the government would have to look at hybrid and CNG (compressed natural gas) vehicles also.Related Video:

Toyota JPN Taxi Concept is a Japanese riff on an English classic

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

As far as beasts of burden go, New York City's new - and much maligned - Nissan NV200 "Taxi of Tomorrow" isn't a bad one. It's space efficient, reasonably economical, and its simple construction should mean it's pretty robust over the long haul, too. But it lacks panache and a sense of occasion - let alone a sense of humor - three things this this Toyota JPN Taxi Concept we found at the Tokyo Motor Show has in spades.
Unfortunately, that's about all the information we have on this cheeky London-taxi-inspired showcar. Toyota hasn't provided much in the way of details, other than to proclaim that the five-seat JPN was "created with Japanese hospitality in mind" and it "aims to enliven city streets." Japan's livery landscape has long been occupied by traditional three-box sedans - models like the Toyota Crown and Nissan Cedric. The JPN Taxi at just over 171 inches would appear to offer both a tighter footprint and added whimsy, both of which are in the automaker's favor; we hear it hopes this concept will one day become the country's own version of America's yellow Crown Vic cab.
Toyota isn't providing powertrain specifications, but we like the airy feeling of the interior (Japanese cabs typically don't have cumbersome partitions between cabbie and passengers), the minimalist driver area with three screens, and the widescreen overhead video system for passengers that bookends the panoramic moonroof. Check it out in our gallery of live shots and let us know what you think in Comments.
