These LOW mileage 4Runners are hard to find.  This is a 1 OWNER female owned with low miles.  The 4Runner has always been serviced by Bob Lindsay Toyota in Galesburg, IL.  We have all the service paper work from the Toyota Dealer.  The 4Runner is in excellent shape, just like new.  Please look at all the pictures.

The 4Runner starts right up and idles smooth.  The motor is strong and the transmissions shifts smooth.  It runs, drives and rides smooth down the road just like new.  The 4Runner drives straight down the road and stops in a straight line with no shaking, pulling or shimmy.  The brakes are in great working order.

The interior is just like new with NO signs of wear.  Please look at all the pictures of the inside to see how nice it is.  This 4Runner still has the factory new floor mats and still looks like new along with the rest of the interior.  All the power options work with no issues.  The AC blows out ICE COLD.

The exterior is also in excellent shape.  Paint has a nice shine to it.  This 4Runner has always been garaged which reflects the outstanding condition.  The tires still have about 50% life still left in them.  The rims do have a bit of clear coat pealing but that is to be expected for the year.  The 4x4 works great and engages with no issues.

This 4Runner is just like new.  If you have any questions please give me a call 309-333-6796(Tom).

If you would like to ride the Amtrak train to Macomb, IL I can pick you up at the train station and you can drive the 4Runner home.  Please give me a call before you buy your tickets.

If you would like this 4Runner shipped to you, I can assist you in that.  Please give me a call for a free quote. 309-333-6796(Tom)

GT Academy returns, and why Gran Turismo 6 demands a pedal/wheel setup

Fri, 18 Apr 2014

The path to become a racing driver is a difficult one. It requires starting early, with karts, and then building up through the years and if you're really, really good (and really, really lucky), a team will notice you and sign you up. Or, you know, you could just become really good at Gran Turismo, and beat out other like-minded fanatics for a seat in the GT Academy.
The racing school, which culls its students from the ranks of Gran Turismo players has already pumped out successful racers, most notably, Lucas Ordoñez, who has a second and third-place finish under his belt at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. With the 2014 GT Academy kicking off April 21 and running through June 16, you could have a chance to be the next Ordoñez.
That won't be easy, though. We recently had a playthrough on GT6 the proper way - with a racing seat, pedals and a steering wheel, complete with column-mounted paddles. (Our setup looked just like the one you see above, though that image is from E3.) In other words, it was as close to driving an actual car as most console games can get.

Toyota makes $100M investment to boost Indiana Highlander production

Mon, 25 Aug 2014

Toyota has announced that it will be making a $100 million investment in its Princeton, IN factory in a bid to increase production of its popular Highlander CUV. The move will create 300 new jobs by 2016 and increase the total number of crossovers the plant can produce by 30,000.
Toyota currently builds the Highlander, alongside the fullsize Sequoia, at Toyota Indiana's West Plant. The additional capacity, though, will be sent to the East Plant, which is currently responsible for production of the recently refreshed Sienna minivan.
"The Highlander has been a great product for our plant," Toyota Indiana President Norm Bafunno said in a statement. "Establishing Highlander as the 'bridge vehicle,' as we call it, between the East and West plants increases our ability to meet customer needs for our outstanding products. This exciting news is a true testament to the capability of our hard-working and dedicated team members."

Why Lexus shies away from plug-in hybrids

Mon, Apr 20 2015

Lexus may have softened its stance a bit from the anti plug-in vehicle ads the Toyota luxury badge ran last year, but at least one executive from the company casts a pretty critical eye towards the concept as a way to cut both emissions and refueling costs. In fact, Lexus doesn't really buy the fact that buyers of plug-in hybrids are really looking to save both gas and the environment, Green Car Reports says, citing an interview at the recent New York Auto Show with Lexus executive Mark Templin. Templin also said hydrogen fuel-cell technology may be a better way to edge towards zero emissions. Templin decried plug-in hybrid technology because it adds weight to vehicles, which contributes to poor emissions figures in the process. He added that plug-in vehicle buyers are motivated more by potential tax credits and solo driving rights in high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes than cutting back on fuel use. Last summer, Lexus ran an supposedly tongue-in-cheek print ad poking fun at how long it takes to charge a plug-in vehicle and how using air conditioning can shorten a car's charging range. Last spring, Lexus had to backpedal from an anti-electric ad it ran that had serious mistakes about hydrogen infrastructure. News Source: Green Car Reports Green Lexus Toyota Hybrid PHEV
