THIS IS project 1988 Toyota 4 runner.
To explain we got this Toyota 4 runner in an auction. we could only look at it for 5 minutes.
To be honest I'm fairly familiar with mechanics, grew up in the garage... The guy who owned this thing was building it to be a crazy mud buggy or some kind of off road racer. To be frank, I THINK 250-450.00 MORE DOLLARS I BELIEVE YOU'D HAVE SOME KIND OF CRAZY MACHINE HERE.
First of all, there's a 350 from mid 1970's-80's with truck heads on it. I think it was recently re=done. The seals and gaskets are fresh. It might be a crate motor, then again maybe not.
There's a brand new intake air =induct.
There's a brand new Elderbrock 650 carberator on it. We've got the box.
There's a B&M SHIFTER hooked up. Brand new.
The drivetrain is all hooked up.
There's a conversion plate hook up from chevy to Toyota/ probably around 1200.00
Brand new Tach on the dash.
Brand new gauges on the left windshield arm.
Brand new wheels that fits 33's Mickey Thompsons. Needs tires, though.
It has all the seats. And various miscellaneous parts.
Anyway, it needs a project mechanic that loves this kind of stuff. With a little more effort it would get fired up and go.
Although*** Please read**** we got this at an auction sale. What we have here for sale is in "as is" condition. Can't and wont guarantee anything on this vehicle. It has no title and no key.
Or maybe this would be a great parts car for someone.
priced fair for the parts alone. we have no interest in her, so we want it to got to a good home. will need to be hauled. it is in a garage now, safe from bad weather.
will help load if necessary.
no title, just bill of sale. we didn't get a title.

Lightweight Toyota GT86 spotted on Nordschleife with carbon panels, upgraded aero
Tue, 24 Jun 2014We've seen (and frankly reported on) so many rumors of more powerful and performance-focused versions of the Subaru BRZ, Toyota GT86 and Scion FR-S at this point that haven't materialized that, at this point, we're almost tired of them. Almost. But what we have here was enough to pique our jaded interests as only a carbon-bodied sports car on the Nürburgring could do.
What we're looking at is, well, we don't quite know, to tell you the truth. What we can tell is that it's a Toyota GT86 (Scion FR-S for us) wearing new wheels and a carbon-fiber hood, roof, racing-spec rear wing and subtle lip spoiler. The vents in the hood indicate that the prototype in question could be packing an upgraded engine to go with the lighter body panels and upgraded aero, and the interior (at least as far as we can see) looks pretty well stripped out.
The right-hand drive configuration tells us this is either destined for former territories of the British Empire or for the racetrack. Considering the ride height, full glass and apparent lack of roll cage, our money's on this prototype is being developed for the Japanese Domestic Market, where Toyota badges the sports car simply as the 86. We can always hope, though, that some version makes it into Scion showrooms in North America... we just won't get our hopes up too high.
Toyota's future fuel cell vehicle lineup revealed?
Wed, Aug 26 2015Being an Olympic sponsor from 2017 through 2024 puts Toyota in the international limelight, and the company is preparing a fleet of efficient, cutting-edge vehicles just in time for the Tokyo games in 2020. At least eight new models could be on the way, according to Automotive News citing Best Car from Japan. Three of those might make use of the hydrogen fuel-cell powertrain developed for the Mirai. While many of these fuel cells are going into Japan-only vehicles, one of them could come here. Reiterating earlier rumors, Automotive News reports a hydrogen-powered Lexus LS is set for 2018. It could be even lighter than the current hybrid model, too. A similar version of the Toyota Crown would launch there in 2019 and possibly an FCEV Estima minivan, too. Beyond fuel cells, Toyota also intends to put the JPN Taxi Concept from the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show into production in time for the games, according to Automotive News. For 2017, the brand's flagship Century is also expected to adopt a hybrid V8 to replace the current V12, as well. Plus, many of its Japanese-market vans are also due for updates. All of this is certainly a massive undertaking to be ready in time, but Tokyo want to use the games as a chance to show the city as an innovative, international destination. Automotive News predicts Toyota could supply thousands of vehicles to haul all of the athletes and dignitaries around. In addition, the Japanese government wants 6,000 fuel cell vehicles on the road and 35 refueling stations up an running for the games. Related Video:
Toyota C-HR hybrid crossover coupe concept leak ahead of Paris
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Last week, Toyota previewed an upcoming concept called the C-HR and promised it would debut at the upcoming Paris Motor Show. It didn't say much more or give us anything beyond a silhouette and the shape of the lights, but here we have the first images of the finalized form.
The C-HR envisions a hybrid crossover coupe with angular styling that looks ready to take on the Nissan Juke. It's far sportier than a RAV4, and looks closer to how we'd imagine the next-generation Scion FR-S would look like if it were riding on a jacked-up suspension - with some show car elements thrown in for good measure, like a gloating roof, radical lighting and the usual absence of door handles and usable wing mirrors.
Of course, this being a Toyota concept, it packs a hybrid powertrain, although specifications did not leak out along with the images. Overall the form looks pretty striking, if decidedly unsubtle. We'll look forward to bringing you more as the Paris show rapidly approaches.
