Here is a 1987 Suzuki Samurai custom built in California. Has a 1.6 Turbo Volkswagon Quantum motor. An awesome little ride. Texas title in hand, my name. Has not been abused. I drove it from California. Handles great at 55-60 MPH. Got 40 plus mpg. Adult owned. Has small scuffs here and there. No rust at all. 225/75r 15 Bridgestone Duelers, on Eagle rims. Less than 5000 miles on them. Alum. wheel spacers. Gabriel air shocks on front. Conversion kit from acmeadapters.com. Transmission rebuilt, new throwout bearing, clutch, and pressure plate. Sun guages. I think it has a stainless exhaust. All new. Safari mesh top. Front bumper with detatchable a-frame to tow anywhere. Less than 24000 miles on rebuild. A spot in the windshield the size of a quarter. More info and photos on Sat. 7th. UPDATE: The stock speedo and fuel guage works. The tack takes a 70.00 part. No gear reduction, all stock. Has lockers on the front. Front seats stock, alittle stain, no rips. I bought rear seats and mounts on ebay, over 100.00. Sun guages, Oil pressure works, temp works, voltage does not. THANKS TO ALL

Kei van campers are miracles of space utilization
Tue, Jun 22 2021In the tight streets of Japan, tiny cars make a lot of sense, particularly the government-restricted kei class of cars. They're especially small with similarly small engines, and besides being easier to maneuver and park, they're also cheaper to own and run. But surely camping in one would be a somewhat cramped, unpleasant experience, right? Think again. YouTuber Tokyo Lens, someone who creates a variety of interesting videos about places, people and things in Japan, went on a camping trip with what seems to be a pop-top Suzuki Every kei van. He details his experience and highlights all the neat features crammed into the little space. It really is remarkable how much there is. We were particularly taken by the nice looking cabinetry, the fact that a person can pretty much fully stretch out in the pop top and that there's actually a microwave and a tiny sink with a water-tank-supplied faucet. Check out the whole video for a look at how much you can do with a small space, as well as some nice shots of the Japanese countryside. Related video: This content is hosted by a third party. Volkswagen drops "GTi" lawsuit against Suzuki
Tue, 02 Oct 2012Way back in 2004, Volkswagen took umbrage with Suzuki being granted permission to use the nameplate "SWIFT GTi" for a performance variant of its small-car offering (2012 equivalent seen here). Now, eight years and surely some very steep legal bills later, VW has finally dropped its claim against Suzuki.
The General Court of the European Union stated, back in March of this year, that Suzuki's GTi registration could not be confused with VW's "Golf GTI." Volkswagen had appealed that ruling, though has now reportedly called off the dogs. In fact, Germany's Die Welt reports that the appeal has been dead for several weeks now.
This news comes amongst continued arbitration acrimony between the two automakers, all revolving around VW's forced divestiture of nearly 20-percent stake it purchased in Suzuki some two years ago.
Suzuki recalls 2 million cars globally
Wed, Apr 22 2015Suzuki is recalling two million vehicles across the globe, including a number of Chevrolet Cruze sedans that it builds for General Motors, because the ignition switches may begin to smoke. None of the Cruzes being recalled were sold in the US, though. This recall is limited to the Japanese, European and Australian markets. In Suzuki's home market, 1,873,000 vehicles are being recalled, including the Cruze and a number kei cars built for Mazda (the Carol and AZ-Wagon), as well as the automaker's own Alto, Wagon R and Swift. Affected vehicles were built between 1998 and 2009. The remaining 133,000 vehicles include Cruzes and other Suzuki products sold in Europe and Australia. There have been no reports of injuries or accidents due to the 67 reported incidents, all of which come from the Japanese market, a Suzuki spokesperson told Automotive News. Related Video:
