Up for bidding / sale my very well cared for  1987 Suzuki samurai jx 4x4 . This Suzuki is in extremely good shape and was only used during the summer months as a tow behind vehicle behind the motorhome. Has always been stored indoors so the exterior and interior are in practically mint condition. I would consider this a time capsule considering its 100  %rust free  and a must see to fully appreciate .  Has 92,000 original miles , 2nd owner vehicle and is Accident free. Clean title in hand .

Was used stricktly as a tow vehicle so most miles are from being flat towed across the states.  Comes with removable tow bar so you can tow this Suzuki samurai with you anywhere you would like.  These make excellent tow behind vehicles since they are so light yet solid and simple vehicles that can go just about anywhere.

Never abused or taken off road to say the least this has always been elderly owned . The 4x4 works great and engages and disengages without a hitch . This is mechanically sound to say the least and does not need a thing .  No leaks or problems of any kind. Drive train is quiet and the clutch and transmission shift smoothly . Starts up right away and idles at 900 rpm . Just passed smog as well.

Suzuki Jimny displays Samurai spirit in Japanese snowstorm

Thu, 20 Feb 2014

Say what you will about its smallest SUVs, but you have to hand it to Suzuki: the likes of the Samurai, Sidekick and Vitara were doing the little-sport-ute-that-could thing long before most of the rest of the industry caught on. And the formula remains relevant enough that Suzuki is still selling the same basic Samurai overseas as the Jimny.
That could be why the Samurai still has something of a cult following. Well, that and the name - which, as it turns out, may not have been such a stretch after all. A Samurai warrior, after all, was just one man - but like any other knight, he was worth more than his headcount on the battlefield. Or in this case, a Japanese snowstorm. Just watch the half-minute video below to see what we mean.

Ugly Moto makes beautiful motorcycle art [w/video]

Thu, 08 May 2014

Ugly Moto is a horrible name for a company that makes such wonderful motorcycle art. The creation of artist Francis Ooi, the company's illustrations focus on some of the iconic racing bikes of the 1960s and 1970s.
The artwork has an elegant simplicity that really makes it pop. It would fit just about anywhere from a home office to the bedroom of a young gearhead. Ooi has completed six illustrations so far covering classic cycles from Honda, Ducati, Yamaha and even Harley-Davidson. According to his site, the Suzuki RGB500 ridden by Barry Sheene will be the next one released. All of the prints are priced at $65 and are limited to 100 copies. They are all about 16.53 inches by 23.58 inches in size.
According to his website, these prints are just a hobby for Ooi and his real career is as the creative director at an ad agency. He creates the illustrations on his Mac, and he estimates that each design with about 800 components and layers takes about a month to complete. You can get idea of the process involved in the time-lapse video below.

Suzuki and Daihatsu join Toyota electric vehicle venture

Wed, Jul 21 2021

TOKYO — Suzuki Motor Corp and Daihatsu are joining a commercial electric vehicle coalition led by Toyota Motor Corp, the carmakers announced on Wednesday, helping the Japanese alliance expand its focus from trucks to smaller cars. The two automakers will each acquire a 10% stake in the joint venture, on par with Isuzu Motors and Hino Motors, while Toyota will hold a 60% stake, they said. "With Suzuki and Daihatsu joining the project and working together, we'll be able to expand our circle of cooperation to not only cover commercial vehicles but also mini vehicles," said Toyota President Akio Toyoda. "With this expansion, I believe that we'll be able to take one step closer to a better mobility society," Toyoda said. The move comes as Japanese automakers face growing competition from tech giants and other rivals making electric and driverless cars. Toyota, Isuzu and Hino launched the Commercial Japan Partnership Technologies Corporation in April to bolster their competitive edge in connected, commercial vehicles. Daihatsu's president Soichiro Okudaira said joining the pact and introducing connected, mini-commercial vehicles would allow data sharing, a major benefit for companies to provide better services to customers and improve logistics efficiency.
