Excellent Condition! Black Exterior And Interior, Very Clean! on 2040-cars
Lafayette, Indiana, United States
|
This Subaru WRX was purchased in April of 2012. I am the only owner and have taken excellent care of it. It has had fully synthetic oil changes every 3000 miles. This car has not been auto-crossed, track-driven, raced, or taken-off road in any way and is 100% stock. It came with the following factory options:
I have all the original keys and wireless locker/unlockers, factory manual, and the factory cloth floor mats to go along with the all weather mats currently in the car (the cloth mats are still sealed in plastic and have never been used) The majority of the 24000 miles on the car are highway miles, I drive 120 miles round trip between Lafayette and Indianapolis for work. I have really enjoyed this car for the past 2 years, but I am getting married in May and no longer want the car payment. The title is clean, but is held by Capitol One Auto who my loan is through. The buyer of this car will need to pay off the auto loan through Capitol One and pay me whatever the extra balance is determined by the final bidding price. We can make the call to Capitol One together and have the car paid off and have the title transferred to the buyers name and shipped to the buyer. The car is located in central Indiana and will not be shipped, the buyer must arrange shipping or pick it up. |

WRX Concept gets walkaround with Subaru design boss Osamu Namba
Mon, 08 Apr 2013The Subaru WRX Concept was the only concept car to be mentioned among our Editors' Choice favorites for New York Auto Show debuts this year - snagging the No. 3 spot nonetheless - due to what it could mean to the future of Subaru if it indeed becomes a reality. Now that we've caught our breath from walking countless miles through the Javits Center, Subaru has released a brief video of design boss Osamu Namba describing some of the exterior styling elements of the sporty concept sedan.
While this video is just your basic walkaround that gives no mention of the concept's inspiration or what we can expect from the next-generation WRX, it is still fun to watch Namba explain many of the car's design elements including the more aggressive face, the quadruple exhaust outlets and the signature flared wheel arches and side outlet fender vents. If you liked the WRX Concept as much as we did, scroll down to watch this short video.
US Army tests Subaru-powered hybrid truck
Sat, 04 Jan 2014The military has been studying the implementation of alternative drivetrains for years, a tiny sampling of which includes the diesel-electric hybrid technical hauler and L-ATV from Oshkosh Defense and the Aggressor from Quantum Technologies. There was also ADA Technologies' work with ultracapitors, General Motors' focus on fuel cells and the roll out of electric motorcycles for Special Forces. In the Ultra Light Vehicle (ULV) prototype vehicle pictured above, we have the latest developments in the Department of Defense's hybrid interest combined with a need to develop a lightweight replacement for the AM General Humvee.
In 2010 the Office of the Secretary of Defense put the Army's Tank Automotive Research, Development, and Engineering Center (TARDEC) in charge of developing a personnel carrier that could "balance payload, performance and protection," and do so without exorbitant cost. Armored Humvees can weigh more than seven tons, and while the ULV is just under 14,000 pounds, the new vehicle can do a lot more with its weight.
The Subaru turbodiesel under the hood puts out 175 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. That's not much for pulling 13,916 pounds, so it's assisted by two Remy 410HVH HT electric motors each capable of adding 268 continuous hp and 369 peak hp, along with 844 lb-ft of continuous torque or 1,221 ft-lbs at peak. They're only limited by the 14.2 kWh lithium-ion battery rated at 65 kW of continuous power and 180 kW of peak power, but still, TARDEC says the ULV can do 21 miles on electric power and on the flats has a combined range of 337 miles at 35 mph.
Rally Racing with Subaru Rally Team USA Driver David Higgins | AutoblogVR
Tue, Feb 14 2017So you like rally racing, huh? Well so do we. We like it so much, in fact, that we asked professional rally racer David Higgins to take us for a spin in his #75 Dirtfish Subaru Impreza STI. Lucky for us, he happily obliged! If you thought rally racing looked thrilling on TV, just wait until you've experienced it with a 360-degree field of view. While zipping around the track at the Port of Los Angeles, David lets us in on some of the specs of his car, which can hit 60 mph in an astonishing 1.9 seconds. Although the car has the ability to "easily hit 130 [or] 140," according to David, the real focus on its 0-100 mph acceleration, as that's where the action happens in rally racing. Sit back, relax, and enjoy this unique experience sitting passenger-side in a rally car! Each week, new episodes will launch on the AutoblogVR App. We'll be posting them here on Autoblog, but for the best experience, head over to the app, which you can download for free from the App store and Google Play. Be sure to try it with a cardboard viewer, too! Subaru Videos VR Original Video virtual reality david higgins 360 degree
