2008 Subaru Impreza Wrx Wagon 4-door, Included 3 Year+ 100,000 Extended Warranty on 2040-cars
Hanover Park, Illinois, United States
For Sale by Owner 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX Premium (with GPS), 46,889 miles, good condition. This car runs perfectly, sounds and looks great! I love driving this car everyday, all year round. It is phenomenal in the snow and rain with the all season tires on, and grips like crazy in the summer to! I will still be driving the car occasionally when i have work and school until it sells; so the mileage will change a few 100 miles since the photos have been taken and eBay listing has been created. I will stop driving the car and it will be parked in our garage when the auction is over and there is a winner. Im only selling this car because I have made a few changes in life regarding school. I am going to a university full time student. My father just finished paying for the car in full so I have the title in hand. So with that said I don't want my loan with my father to get to high so I feel that I must sell the car to be able to pay him back and have the remaining of the money to get a way cheaper car. The Bad:
Why the New Engine I had received a rod knock sound from the engine (ask the dealer calls it) and I took the car to my preferred Subaru dealer to have it looked at. They took the car and denied the warranty claim due to the cold air intake that (was) on the car. (Complete crap I know, I fought it the best I could.) I had Subaru put the "Factory" air intake box. The car is still under warranty now that the cold air intake is off the car. It costed $6000 for the new engine from Subaru dealership. The new engine service comes with a 1 year or 12,000 mile warranty on the new engine. The engine work was done in January of 2014. (01/2014) 7 Year / 100,000 Mile Extended Warranty GOLD PLUS through Subaru of America Ending Statements If there are any requests thats needed to fix any of those paint spots and rust mark or the wheels before the car is shipped I will have the shop fix them but the buyer will have to cover half of the cost. I will be able to get discount as I know the owner of the shop. Car sold As-Is, Price in NON-Negotionable after Auction is over. Title in hand and ready to go. Buyer pays for shipping Please read Payment option carefully BEFORE placing your bid. Happy Bidding on a really fun and reliable car! If you have any further questions please send me a message and i will get back to you shortly! PLEASE ASK QUESTION!!! |

Subaru celebrates 4-millionth vehicle built in Indiana
Mon, 02 Sep 2013Subaru has produced its four-millionth vehicle at its Lafayette, Indiana factory. The Deep Indigo Blue 2014 Outback is pictured above, alongside the very first Subaru to leave the Lafayette facility, a first-generation Legacy. Formally known as Subaru of Indiana Automotive, SIA opened its doors in 1989 and currently produces the Outback, Forester and Tribeca for Subaru, in addition to the Toyota Camry.
The plant, which was originally a joint venture between Subaru and Isuzu, has produced nine different models for four different manufacturers over the years, and is getting ready to add a tenth as Impreza production will be coming to SIA. Subaru announced plans to move Impreza production to Indiana when it made a $400-million investment in the facility earlier this year. As production continues, the Lafayette Journal-Courier reports that SIA will produce another million units by the end of 2017.
Climb to the Clouds returning thanks to Subaru title sponsorship [w/video]
Wed, 31 Jul 2013The Mt. Washington Hillclimb, otherwise known as the Climb to the Clouds, hasn't been done since 2011. That year, Subaru Rally Team USA driver David Higgins set a new record for the event first held in 1904, running the 7.6-mile vertiginous course in 6:11.54. The race will be return in 2014 with the help of that very carmaker, Subaru of America having stepped in to the title sponsor role for what will be the Subaru Mt. Washington Hillclimb.
Taking place from June 26-29, 75 modern and vintage cars will spend three days racing up the 6,288-foot-high mountain. It's not as long nor as high as Pikes Peak, but it does have something that the Colorado competition doesn't: gravel; about 13 percent of the Mt. Washington Carriage Road still hasn't been paved.
If you want to know what a record-breaking run up the northeast's highest peak looks like, check out Higgins behind the wheel in the video below.
Ford, Toyota clean up in Best Car For The Money Awards
Fri, 22 Feb 2013The U.S. News Best Cars for the Money Awards picks winners by looking at the average transaction price, five-year total cost of ownership, the regard a car has from the automotive press, reliability figures from J.D. Power and Associates and safety data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The result, according to the magazine, is "the best combination of critical acclaim and long-term value."
Ford nabbed six of the 21 categories that received awards this year, the Focus, Fusion, Fusion Hybrid, Taurus, Escape and Edge getting trophies. Toyota and its Lexus and Scion sub-brands took another five, the Tacoma and Tundra owning the two categories given to pickup trucks. The other ten awards were split between Honda with three, Buick with two, and one each for Subaru, BMW, Hyundai, Chevrolet and Mazda.
