I purchased the car in December of 2010 from Huffines Subaru in Texas. Has been very well cared for. Synthetic oil every 5k miles. Synthetic diff oil in front and rear differentials. New brake pads and front rotors. AC system just evacuated and charged. The only non-factory items it has are:

1.  An aux input to the original radio.
2.  Fuel filter moved from the tank to the engine bay for easier access (exactly like the 2004 models had it)

Good:
The car has good tires with plenty of tread left. Less than a year old.
New brakes and front rotors
New original type windshield (orig had a small chip turn into a huge crack overnight...have all receipts)
AC just serviced
All original
Synthetic fluids
Never modded or raced.
Interior is just nearly perfect.  Seriously.
Original spare and tools
Most of my receipts including all the documentation from my purchase and many parts and services I performed over the last 4 years.
Pulls great
No smoke

Bad:
The original wheels have seen better days. They are pretty scuffed up and a couple even have bends.  They hold a tire and I like originality so I kept them on it but they really need work or replaced.
Hail and scrape damage to the car. (If you want more detailed pictures of the damage, just notify me and I'll try to get some extreme closeups at an angle...it's just really hard to see on a white car but the damage is less noticeable in the pics than it is in person.
If Ebay allows it, here is a link to close-up video of the car and how it looks:

The oil spots on the concrete under the WRX are NOT from this car.  They are from the old Riviera that was parked in that spot a few minutes earlier.  The WRX does not leak.

Pictures speak for themselves. ***

***Apparently the pictures really do not speak for themselves:
EDIT: After viewing the pictures on Ebay, the hail damage is not as visible as it should be. Look at the close-up of the car roof. That will give you a better idea.  The primary affected areas are the hood and roof and a little on the trunk lid, although every panel took at least a couple hits. The car still looks great from 15 feet away, but up close you can see it.  It never bothered me because the car runs and drives great and the interior is so good, but if you like extremely straight body work, you'll have to put in a little time or money.  That's why the car is priced almost 3k below blue book.

Next-gen Subaru WRX STI spotted at the N"urburgring

Tue, 16 Apr 2013

Subaru has been busy testing the next-generation WRX STI. Well, it may be the STI. The big wing out back lends some credence to that theory, but it could be that the basic WRX is getting new action in the back section. Time will tell.
In either case, spy photographers nabbed a few shots of the heavily camouflaged sedan running around the Nürburgring. Unfortunately, it looks as if Subaru has taken some of the sexy out of the WRX Concept we saw at the New York Auto Show, leaving this car looking more derivative of the current model than a revolution in design. The bold power bulge has disappeared from the vehicle's hood and the lower fascia looks far more demure than the the wild concept. Likewise, the muscular rear fenders have been toned down substantially.
The result is a car that looks more like a mildly warmed over version of the current model than a production version of the WRX Concept. Still, engineers and designers may have a long way to go before the finished product hits the market, so we'll reserve final judgement for now. After all, the early BRZ mules were nothing short of a travesty to look at, and we know how that turned out. Hope springs eternal.

Subaru WRX hatchback back off the table

Tue, Apr 22 2014

It's fair to see we're rather fond of the new Subaru WRX. That's not to say we don't have a number of issues with the budget sports sedan, though. Foremost among those complaints is that it's short exactly one door. Yes, the sedan-only WRX is just fine, but we'd be lying if we said we weren't missing the long-roofed, five-door model of years past. More pressing than our sentimentality, though, is the business case for a WRX wagon - half of the 2013 WRX and STI models sold had five doors. As a general rule, ignoring half of your former customers isn't the best strategy for long-term success. There was some hope, as recently as a few weeks ago, though, that Subaru would right this wrong and offer a real, five-door WRX. An Australian reporter managed to corner project manager Masuo Takatsu, who said strong interest from the US meant that the Subaru mothership was considering a WRX with a hatch rather than a trunk. Sadly, that doesn't seem to be the case, as Subaru USA is dashing any and all hope of a second body style. According to Motor Trend, the company's US arm reached out to Japan and, despite the statements made by Takatsu, confirmed that there were no plans for a WRX wagon. Sigh...

Plans for 7-seat Subaru Tribeca replacement becoming clearer

Mon, 11 Nov 2013

Subaru is going to have its hands full at the Tokyo Motor Show next week, but while the Cross Sport Design Concept is expected to preview a Tribeca-replacing crossover, this new model could still be at least two years from production. It has already been confirmed that production of the Tribeca will end early next year, but in speaking with Yasuyuki Yoshinaga, the president of Subaru's parent Fuji Heavy Industries, Automotive News is reporting that there will be a lengthy gap between the Tribeca and its eventual replacement.
The next-gen three-row crossover wasn't included in an annual production capacity goal of 500,000 units expected in the US by the end of 2016, so it's likely that we won't see this much-needed CUV until 2017. While the details of this new model aren't known, Yoshinaga told AN that it will be "completely different" from the Tribeca. As we heard back in February, we do expect this seven-passenger crossover to grow in size in order to offer a larger cabin with more third-row space.
Automotive News even mentions that the Tribeca replacement could be based on the existing Subaru Exiga from the Japanese market. That three-row vehicle splits the difference between a minivan and wagon, with swinging doors instead of sliders, and a tall greenhouse.
