2006 Subaru Outback 2.5i Limited Wagon 4-door 2.5l on 2040-cars
Lutz, Florida, United States
I have been a wholesale auto dealer in the area for over 25 years. I sell 95% of my vehicles to other dealers at local dealer only auto auctions in St. Pete, Tampa, and Lakeland, Florida. I offer a select few to the public here on Ebay before I ship them to auction. I save on transportation and auction sale fees, and you get a great deal too. I do not charge a dealer fee which can be as high as $600 at many dealers. This beautiful 2006 Subaru Outback Limited was just traded in on a new vehicle. It is a local, one owner car that has been in Florida it's whole life. No salty roads or rust in this Subaru's past. Speaking of pasts, if you are comparing this car to another one on Ebay, let me just say this... A vehicle with a rebuilt, salvage, or reconstructed title is only worth a fraction of what a vehicle with a clean history and title is worth. Most banks and credit unions won't even finance a car with a title that is branded because they know the car is worth almost nothing if they have to repossess it and sell it at auction. Ask yourself this, would you rather have a car that was previously in a flood or accident or one that was not? Would you rather have a car that you know has actual mileage or one that has true mileage unknown and must be sold as not actual mileage? Pictures are nice, and can give you a good idea how a vehicle has been maintained. Imagine a picture of a car submerged in a flood and think about what that must have looked like. Don't make a mistake and buy a Subaru that has been previously totaled and put back together, buy one with service records, from a rust free environment with a clean history and no accidents. This car comes with a file loaded with service receipts, all books and manuals, and two keys with remotes. Loaded with features like heated leather seats, power sliding sunroof, power driver's seat, power windows, power locks with remotes, tilt steering, cruise control, am fm cd, front, side, and curtain airbags for added safety, split folding rear seats, roof rack, alloy wheels, plus much, much, more. This Subie runs and drives excellent and there are no warning lights illuminated on the dash. NADA says this vehicle with the current low mileage and equipment is worth $12125, but you can buy it here wholesale from a wholesaler! Please call or text Rick at 813 244-4289 for more info or to see it in person. |

Toyota, Honda, Nissan and more collaborating to increase fuel efficiency
Sun, 25 May 2014Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Suzuki and Daihatsu have announced an alliance that will see a push to improve fuel economy from both gas-powered and diesel-powered engines by as much as 30 percent before the end of the decade.
The newly assembled Research Association of Automotive Internal Combustion Engines put the roughly $20-million project together, with the Japanese government committing to half the cost while the eight manufacturers will chip in the rest.
According to Automotive News, the automakers will team up and share basic research on internal-combustion engines in a bid to cut costs. Eventually, the results of the research will find its way into a production vehicle, although it's unclear just when we'll see the fruits of this partnership on the road.
Subaru debuts tougher-looking Outback for Australia [w/poll]
Tue, 17 Sep 2013If you're going to name a car after a specific location or region, you'd better make sure it's taken seriously in the place it's named for. You're not likely to see a Chevrolet Monte Carlo in Monaco, and the Alfa Romeo Montreal was never even officially offered in North America, but the Subaru Outback is another story.
Subaru apparently takes the Australian market, whose wilderness its jacked-up Legacy wagon is named for, very seriously. So it is apparently rolling out a revised version of the current Outback in Australia itself. The updated Outback, which arrives less than a year before the all-new model is expected to bow, answers Aussie customer feedback with a more rugged look. It's got new roof rails, body cladding, wheel arches, mud flaps, underbody protection plates and blacked-out headlight surrounds and grille trim.
The Motor Report reports that the AUD $2,500 worth of extra equipment - around $2,300 USD - comes with just an AUD $500 ($468) price hike. As far as we can tell, though, there are no plans to bring this latest look to our shores - Subaru has already detailed North America's Outback for the 2014 model year, and these changes aren't mentioned. Should this look be offered in our market? Vote in the poll below and then have your say in Comments.
2015 Subaru Impreza gets visual tweaks, added refinement
Thu, 25 Sep 2014While our love for the Subaru Impreza is mostly reserved for its turbocharged WRX and STI models, there's still a fully competent, well-rounded package in the base model, now in its fourth generation. In order to keep it competitive, Subaru has given the Impreza a light refresh for the 2015 model year, and while the car hasn't changed much mechanically, there are a number of thoughtful updates in store for the revised model.
Most noticeably, the front end has been touched up, with a revised lower fascia that's a bit more aggressive than before, nicely incorporating foglamps on higher-end models. Around back, not much has changed, though there's a new lip spoiler on sedan models to improve aerodynamics. Inside, a new infotainment system is available, with a seven-inch color touchscreen, and Subaru's EyeSight driver assistance package can now be had on the Limited models. There's also an updated instrument cluster with an LCD color display, new door and shifter trim, a standard rearview camera, and a few tuning enhancements that allow for a quieter ride, according to Subaru's release.
Under the hood is the same 2.0-liter boxer four-cylinder engine as before, with 148 horsepower on tap, mated to either a five-speed manual or continuously variable transmission. Subaru notes that there's a quicker ratio for the electronic power-assisted steering (that's a good thing), and reminds us that the Impreza is still pretty fuel-efficient considering its standard all-wheel drive, able to achieve 28 miles per gallon in the city, 37 mpg highway and 31 mpg combined.
