2004 Subaru Outback Limited Sedan for sale. I'd love to keep this car, but I have to get something bigger, to fit my hockey equipment. It has the following new parts:
Head gasket Timing belt(with pulleys) Water pump CV joints(both front) Ball joints(both front) Wheel bearings(both front) Front brakes I also just had the windows professionally tinted, and had an automatic starter installed. Black leather heated seats, sun roof. There are 169,xxx miles on it(mainly highway), and this car gets up and goes every time. I just changed the oil, and it is ready to go. The check engine light is on, because it may need a new catalytic converter. I am willing to work on the price to help cover this. It may also need new front rotors soon too(they squeak). The body has its little dings here and there, but it is overall in pretty good shape. Please feel free to contact me for details. All reasonable offers will be considered. Subaru to showcase five customized Levorg concepts at Tokyo Auto Salon
Sun, 22 Dec 2013Last month, Subaru unveiled the Levorg concept at the Tokyo Motor Show, previewing what could be the next Legacy wagon. But that's not the end of the story for the concept car.
With the Tokyo Auto Salon - Japan's equivalent to SEMA - approaching next month, Fuji Heavy has announced five customized versions of the Levorg. One is being prepared by Subaru itself with a focus on luxury (including new alloy wheels and a burgundy interior), one by Subaru Tecnica International (with strut brace and aero kit) and one each by aftermarket Subaru tuners Corazon, Syms and Prova.
Subaru will also display a pair of racecars based on the BRZ: the Super GT300 version we've already seen and a new STI NBR Challenge racer aimed at the Nürburgring 24 Hours. Details in the press release below.
Subaru nixes plans for US-built XV Crosstrek
Sun, Dec 28 2014Subaru is on a sales tear, with numbers up 21 percent through the end of November compared to last year. It's been investing in its Indiana factory, and having ended its contract to build the Toyota Camry there, the 400,000-unit capacity was once seen as more than Subaru needs. At some point Subaru had plans to build the XV Crosstrek here in the US, but Reuters reports that the company has changed its mind and will build the little crossover Scooby in Japan, in the same Gunma Prefecture factory where the Impreza, BRZ and Levorg are built. The report cites "the relatively high sales price," the weakening yen versus the dollar and capacity constraints at the Indiana facility. For a planned production run of 65,000 Crosstrek units annually, the new math – especially the yen valuation, which has declined against the dollar to a rate not seen since 2007 – makes Japanese production a viable option. Subaru isn't the only manufacturer taking its toys back home, either: the Reuters report says Toyota is considering shifting some Camry production back to Nippon, while Nissan plans to do the same with the Rogue. Our guess is that if Subaru sales continue the trend they've been on for years, the assembly decision will give them more local flexibility here for addressing it.
