FOR SALE: 2000 Subaru Outback Limited AWD Wagon. This was the 3rd Generation Outback Wagon with the Impreza Hatch. 4 Cyl 2.5 L 2500cc engine out of the Legacy/Baja Line. THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION!

In the interest of full disclosure, this car has obvious damage on the front and rear bumper. We've included photos so you could get a good visual. There is also a photo of the rust area above the right rear wheel well. We're not holding anything back from the buyer.

On the upside - this car is LOADED with every imaginable feature for the year. Leather seats, power steering, power brakes, A/C, power windows, power seats, power locks, cruise control and it ALL works. Tires have about 50 percent of the tread left on them. The car starts right up. Runs and drives like a champ.

This will make someone an EXCELLENT daily driver - handles superbly in the ice and snow. It's a really nice car. You're buying from a small family dealership that's been in business for over 20 years. We proudly sell decent used cars at an affordable price. We don't work off a huge profit margin, we don't charge hidden fees like some dealerships, just to complete some pretty standard paperwork and we encourage you to fully inspect the cars before buying. If you'd like to make an appointment to see the car or take a test drive, call Carol at 816-678-0099.

THANKS SO MUCH FOR LOOKING AND HAPPY BIDDING!

We reserve the right to end this auction early, as the car is being advertised locally.

Subaru confirms 2015 WRX STI to grace Detroit show stand

Fri, 03 Jan 2014

Now that we've seen and driven the 2015 Subaru WRX, it's time to set our sights on the car's more powerful and traditionally massively winged counterpart: the STI. And while a few rumors about the new STI have already leaked, Subaru today confirmed that we'll be seeing the hotter 'Rex at the Detroit Auto Show later this month. Hot diggity.
Last we heard, the new STI will still use a turbocharged, 2.5-liter boxer-four (remember, the standard WRX uses a version of the 2.0-liter engine found in the Forester) producing something like 300 horsepower and 290 pound-feet of torque. What's more, don't expect the STI to hatch a five-door variant - Subaru recently told us that there are no plans to offer anything beyond a sedan bodystyle for both versions of the WRX. Sad trombone, we know.
That said, if our time with the 2015 WRX sedan is anything to go by, this new STI should be pretty rad. The new WRX is significantly sharper than the outgoing model (in terms of driving dynamics, anyway - it's still a pretty ugly little thing), and we fully expect the STI to be a bulgier, harsher, more powerful and aggressive version of the already awesome street-legal rally car. We're just hoping it will be offered with WRC-correct gold wheels, too.

Hi-po Toyota GT86 to get KERS?

Fri, 09 Nov 2012

We happen to like the Toyota GT86 - and, it of course goes without saying that the same applies to the Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S, as well - just the way it is. Yes, that includes the standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder boxer engine and its 200 horsepower at 7,000 rpm.
That said, a little extra power never hurt anybody, right?
The most obvious way to add some punch to the GT86 would be with a turbocharger, and that has indeed long been rumored for an STI version of the BRZ. Will Toyota follow suit? According to Top Gear, the answer is no. Says GT86 chief engineer Tetsuya Tada, "I think 300bhp with a turbo and 200g/km of CO2 would be tasteless in this day and age. And a turbo would mean the loss of the GT86's uniqueness." Perhaps a bit harsh, but there you go.
