***** PLEASE   READ   DESCRIPTION   CAREFULLY  *****

Vehicle needs engine rebuilt or replaced. We purchased this Subaru from a dealer auction as new car trade with no expressed guarantees. Upon further inspection it was evidenced that the engine was overheating and pushing coolant out the overflow bottle. This typically means that there is an internal head gasket leak where combustion from the piston cylinders is forcing itself into the cooling jackets and thereby leaking externally out of the cooling system via the overflow bottle. This condition is fairly common in certain model years of Subaru's. They can often be fixed with the  better forms of engine engine block sealer or by replacing the head gaskets, However, because we can not guarantee the certainty of either of these as viable remedies we are listing this as Needing the Engine Replaced in its Entirety. Additionally, as with all used vehicles there are minor cosmetic and superficial scratches and dings present from the natural elements. This Subaru is a one owner, has a clean Carfax, and does not appear to have been in any accidents. The paint is in Decent shape (though dirty in the photos), interior is in good condition but the carpets could use a shampoo. Clutch feels tight and tires are 80+ % ..!  As with all of our ebay sales we are offering a 100% satisfaction guarantee or your money back if we have not accurately described the condition of this vehicle. Please feel free to call or email with any questions. Thanks for viewing our Auction..!   : )

WRX Concept gets walkaround with Subaru design boss Osamu Namba

Mon, 08 Apr 2013

The Subaru WRX Concept was the only concept car to be mentioned among our Editors' Choice favorites for New York Auto Show debuts this year - snagging the No. 3 spot nonetheless - due to what it could mean to the future of Subaru if it indeed becomes a reality. Now that we've caught our breath from walking countless miles through the Javits Center, Subaru has released a brief video of design boss Osamu Namba describing some of the exterior styling elements of the sporty concept sedan.
While this video is just your basic walkaround that gives no mention of the concept's inspiration or what we can expect from the next-generation WRX, it is still fun to watch Namba explain many of the car's design elements including the more aggressive face, the quadruple exhaust outlets and the signature flared wheel arches and side outlet fender vents. If you liked the WRX Concept as much as we did, scroll down to watch this short video.

West Coast labor dispute hampers Japanese automakers' US plants

Wed, Feb 18 2015

The ongoing labor dispute between the International Longshore and Warehouse Union and port owners along the West Coast is starting to affect more Japanese automakers building vehicles in the US. The issue already forced Honda and Subaru to take the expensive option of airlifting some parts into the US weeks ago, and according to USA Today, Toyota and Nissan have begun doing so, as well. The choice hasn't been cheap, though, and Subaru's chief financial officer estimated that the decision cost around $60 million more per month than sending components by cargo ship. The effects continue to radiate, according to USA Today, and shortages of some models are possible. Honda is slowing production at its factories in Ohio, Indiana and Canada because the automaker doesn't have enough transmissions and electronics for some vehicles. Toyota already cut back on overtime at some factories. Nissan has only seen a small effect from the issue, though, because of its local suppliers. Dock workers and port owners have been negotiating on a new contract since last year, and the union has organized work slowdowns in response. According to USA Today, the automakers could move shipments to Canada or Mexico, but it would take longer for parts to arrive. Subarus, straits, a shipwreck, and the end of the world

Fri, Feb 26 2016

We've got one more short video glimpse at our Patagonia adventure before the big, final feature video goes live early next month. This time, it's a view of the end of our journey – and the end of the world. Crossing the Straits of Magellan took about two hours on our car ferry, and we saw penguins, orcas, and dolphins, which made the journey way more interesting. From there, we drove through Chile and crossed back into Argentina, stopped by the Desdemona – a 30-year-old shipwreck – and finally spent the night in Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world (Antarctica only has bases, not cities). The next morning, our caravan ventured to Tierra del Fuego National Park, and we stood, as a group, at the end of the world – the farthest south any of us will probably venture for the rest of our lives. Have a look at our final, short video above. And again, stay tuned for the full experience film, which we'll bring you (along with hundreds of epic photos) early next month.
