This is a beautiful AWD Legacy GT Turbo. It is in excellent condition for year and mileage. I performed all the regular maintenance myself as I'm not comfortable with someone else working on my vehicle. It gets 27mpg on the highway average. It's excellent in the snow, like a snowmobile basically, with all season tires I had no problem going out for joy rides in the snowstorms. So if you want to make sure you can travel in the snow this car is at the top of the list with the symmetrical all wheel drive full time. The AC is excellent with dual climate control and the heated seats for winter are nice and hot. Recently I lost a Turbo to a clogged banjo bolt in the oil supply line dedicated to the turbo . No shavings made it thru as the turbo was dry and the return oil line was split and bone dry so no metals in the motor. Im going into detail here for the Subaru enthusiasts this is common knowledge of the banjo problem with the 05 and 06 years. I purchased a new rebuilt VF42 Turbo from Turbokits.com along with: New Perrin BOV, Cobb 3-way solenoid, Perrin turbo inlet hose, AEM cold air intake, and Cobb access port. I installed new turbo and components myself, cleaned out intercooler and replaced all banjo bolts and removed all banjo screens. It was professionally tuned by Akuma Motorsports in New Jersey. I replaced all the extra components with aftermarket parts as a security measure to protect the new turbo. The new turbo has 1600 miles on it. I replaced the oil after a 5 min warmup then 100 miles drive, then 500 miles drive all oil was clean. I used Amsoil and now Motul full synthetic oil in this car.

So here you have a LGT with all new Turbo and goodies along with it and the flaws from the oil line corrected so happy driving to the new owner. The car is a lot more fun to drive now with the upgrades and has plenty of passing power.
I've owned this car for 5 years and its been great to me and has many years to go. I suggest doing the timing belt soon I changed it when I bought the car with 59k miles. I checked it a few weeks back and it is in good shape but it should be done. I purchased a new house and need to get into a utility vehicle for all the work to be done.

If you would like to test drive the car please contact me, my fianc'e is home most days but you must provide a drivers license and be serious about purchasing the car.

I reserve the right to close the auction at any time.

Subaru gunning for 500,000 US sales by 2015

Fri, 20 Sep 2013

For the last four years in a row, Subaru has experienced incredible sales growth including record sales of 336,441 units in 2012. This trend is all but guaranteed to continue this year with 281,652 on the books so far, but Automotive News is reporting the automaker has no plans of slowing down anytime soon.
The report says that Subaru is gunning for around 500,000 sales in the US by 2015, which doesn't seem like too far of a stretch considering 2013 sales totals are expected to top 400,000 units. Through August, Subaru's sales are up 29.3 percent compared to 2012, thanks to popular models like the Forester, Outback and, surprisingly, the WRX.
A new WRX is headed for an LA Auto Show reveal while an all-new Legacy is due out next year, and AN adds that Subaru is planning to significantly increase its media spending next year and start production of the Impreza sedan in the US in 2016.

2015 Subaru Legacy spills out ahead of Chicago

Tue, 04 Feb 2014

Subaru has been one of the industry's hottest automakers, recording record sales month after month. Those handsome figures have come largely on the backs of its crossover lineup, however - models like Forester, Outback and XV Crosstrek have been carrying all the water. The Japanese marque has seen less noteworthy performance out of its midsize sedan, the Legacy, but a new one is slated to be revealed later this week at the Chicago Auto Show, and it hopes to improve the company's family sedan fortunes.
Leaked here in these first photos, the 2015 Legacy picks up some cues from the brash Legacy Concept revealed at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, but it loses some impact and gains a pair of rear doors versus the showcar. There's little new visual ground broken, but the overall look is more harmonious than its balloon-fendered predecessor. As is often the case, it has features that make us think of other cars, but overall, it looks to be a handsome (if conservative) design. We particularly like the sleeker roofline and the bold front grille treatment - the latter will likely serve well as the face of the next Outback.
Subaru has traditionally offered function-over-form interiors, and while the new dashboard remains visually staid, it looks to have picked up a number of nice new features, including improved HVAC controls, a new steering wheel and freshened touchscreen navigation system.

Subaru Legacy Concept has us getting our hopes up

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

It happens all the time. We get excited about a really attractive Subaru concept, and then the production car comes out and, well, "disappointed" isn't a strong enough word. (Compare that hot Impreza concept to the final production car.) So while we're hopeful that this new Legacy concept previews something sleek for Subaru, allow us to be fully on record as not getting our hopes up.
Anyway, let's talk about how good this car looks. From the front, comparisons to the Buick Regal GS are warranted, but from all other angles, it has a very four-door coupe-like shape. The concept rides on 21-inch wheels with bulging wheel arches that Subaru says hints at the car's all-wheel-drive system (standard Subaru fare, BRZ aside).
As for what exactly this concept previews, the safe guess is, of course, the next-generation Legacy midsize sedan. And while we'll keep our fingers crossed for a sweet-looking production sedan to come out of Fuji Heavy in the near future, it's safe to say we're still skeptical.
