2011 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Limited Sedan 4-door 2.5l on 2040-cars
Winooski, Vermont, United States
My partner and I bought this Legacy new from Burlington Subaru in June 2011.
This car has been a really great reliable vehicle used for getting to work and around town, as well as camping, hiking and snowboarding adventures. Our original plan was to keep the car forever (we would love to keep but we're moving to NYC!), so it has been carefully taken care of and is like new. We've never had smoke or pets in the car. The limited warranty purchased with the car is still good up to 100K miles, so there's a little over 70K miles left on it. The MPG is 23 city/31 highway. The original (2011) all-season tires, AND 2011 winter tires, are included. There are a number of luxury features, including: - 9 Harmon Kardon speakers in surround-sound, 440-watts - moonroof - black leather seats - heated front seats - Blue tooth technology Below is a list of specs: - AWD - 3-pt seat belts - anti-theft alarm and immobilizer - brake assist - side-curtain and front-seat side-impact air bags - anti-lock breaks - Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) - Tire Pressure Monitoring System - Wiper de-icers - 10-way adjustable power driver's seat - I will leave you the cord to connect an iphone/mp3 player to the audio system - Electronic Parking Brake - Dual-zone climate control - XM radio, if you sign up for the service - Fuel economy of 23 city/31 highway, 15 gallon tank For a dealer comparison, Brattleboro Subaru is currently listing a 2011 Legacy Limited with 34,000 miles for $21,991. (That's the same year, model, and 5k more miles than mine.) I am asking $20,000. We are looking to sell locally only. Call or email me to set up a showing in the Burlington/Essex, Vermont area. I hope to hear from you! - Andrew |

Subaru reveals coupe-like 2015 Legacy Concept ahead of LA show
Thu, 14 Nov 2013Subaru has pulled the covers off its 2015 Legacy Concept before the car's debut at the LA Auto Show next week. The sedan trades in its relatively staid styling for a more aggressive, coupe-like design that almost makes us forget about the rear doors from some angles. Overall, the Legacy looks beefier than your average Subaru, similar to the Ford Taurus.
The concept's character line stretches all the way back to a small trunk, which helps the car achieve its coupe-like appearance. But the front end makes the biggest impression, with "hawk-eye" headlamps and a gaping hexagonal grille with three horizontal slats. The taillights have a shape similar to the headlamps to "enhance the solidity of the overall design," Subaru says.
Custom paint called Ocean Silver Metallic adorns the concept, which sports 21-inch wheels under bulging wheel arches that Subaru says hints at the standard all-wheel-drive system (the BRZ is the only two-wheel-drive Subie).
2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek gets more infotainment, safety tech
Fri, 24 Oct 2014A couple of months ago, Subaru rolled out a series of minor enhancements for the Impreza, and now it's performed a similar upgrade to its more rugged counterpart, the XV Crosstrek. For 2015, the XV benefits from available EyeSight driver assistance suite, steering-responsive fog lights and a new 6.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system (with a seven-inch version on higher-spec models).
Otherwise the 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek and XV Crosstrek Hybrid are essentially the same as the 2014 models they replace. The requisite 2.0-liter boxer four drives to all four wheels as always, with or without hybrid assist, through either a five-speed manual or continuously variable transmission. Look for the updated model to reach dealers this December, and in the meantime, feel free to peruse the press release below.
2015 Subaru Outback
Tue, 01 Jul 2014"We like producing cars that are different." That's the company line trumpeted by several Subaru executives during the launch of the 2015 Outback - one of Fuji Heavy's most successful vehicles to date. Managing Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski accurately noted that while Subaru has never really found salvation with its mainstream sedans, it's the higher-riding, butcher offerings like the Outback and the Impreza-based XV Crosstrek that have been sales stars for the Japanese company. In 2013, for example, Subaru sold nearly three Outbacks for every Legacy it moved. And in 2014, the XV is on pace to outsell the Impreza upon which its based.
But Subarus have always been different, catering to unique customers that desire something a bit more special than your run-of-the-mill sedan or crossover. It's clearly worked, with Subaru having posted 30 months of year-over-year sales increases as of this writing. And even as the automaker's portfolio goes more mainstream, smoothing out its serially awkward styling and gunning for a larger market share here in the United States, that intrinsic Subaru differentiation is still baked in to each and every product.
It's that new Outback we're here to talk about today, a vehicle that's been comprehensively redesigned for the 2015 model year while not shaking up the formula that's made it successful since its inception in the mid-1990s, back when it (arguably) launched what we now know as the crossover utility vehicle segment. It's still plenty different - and plenty good, too.
