2009 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Special Edition Sedan 4-door 2.5l Only Dealer Maintained on 2040-cars
2009 Subaru Legacy Sedan in Obsidian Black. 2.5 litre boxer motor is up to date on all service and has exclusively been serviced by Pence Subaru since 2010. The car was a rental car for a year from 2009 - 2010, then a dealer demo owned by Pence and driven by the Subaru Service manager until 19,xxx miles in late 2010. My wife and I purchased the car at 19,xxx miles and have owned it since. The car has never been in an accident. All dealer service records are available along with AutoCheck (CarFax report). The car currently has 78,000 miles and may crest 79,000 as we still drive it. (mainly highway miles/commuting on 288/295 to work and back)
Priced below the blue book value of $11,000 at 10,700 or best offer! (don't be afraid to make an offer.) If it's more than the dealer will give me for a trade in (plus eBay and Paypal fees), I'll accept it. Paypal Deposit required after "Buy It Now" or any offer that is accepted. Carmax recently had a 2006 for $14,600! And a 2008 for $16,900! Neither of them are as meticulously maintained as this one exclusively by the dealer! Both sold for the CarMax price! The car has an automatic transmission and the All Wheel Drive works great in all driving conditions including snow and ice! The car itself is one of the safest out there and looks like a sports car. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration ratings are as follows - Driver Front = 5 STARS! - Passenger Front = 5 STARS! - Front Side = 5 STARS! - Rear Side = 5 STARS! - Rollover = 4 STARS! (but I doubt you could roll it over as it has a low center of gravity) - Dealer installed OEM Subaru Remote Start integrated into security system. - Recently replaced the Starter (began to make noise and didn't want my wife to be left with a broken starter) - New Radiator - new tires put on around 60,000 miles. Still plenty of tread left. - new windshield installed last month from rock chip - Custom "temporary" GPS mount and Garmin GPS included with full asking price. - Currently under "Pence for life" so I will have the state inspection updated and oil changed before you take delivery. - will have the car detailed before delivery for full asking price. - cruise control - Factory aux in for iPod/iPhone/mp3/smart phone hook-up - Harmon/Kardon premium stereo with 6 disc changer - sunroof/moon roof - charcoal interior. - 4 Keys Plus 3 Remote Starter Key Fobs - factory owners manual and service book included. It's pretty much the nicest car we've owned. Why sell it? We just had a baby and it's a tiny bit too small for us. We realize these cars are sought after and would make an ideal car for someone who doesn't need to put a car seat, and baby gear, and groceries, and passengers, etc in the car all at once. Looking for a good safe car for: yourself?, your teenager? your college student? your spouse, your grandparent? THIS IS IT! Feel free to ask me any questions. No, I will not ship this car. If you can not pick it up in Richmond, VA, or coordinate shipping, don't Buy it. I'm not interested in an agent to sell the car for me. I'm capable of selling the car myself. If it doesn't sell this week, It will be traded in! Act now! |

Weekly Recap: Mazda's rotary revival ignites Tokyo Motor Show
Sat, Oct 31 2015Forty-eight years ago Mazda pioneered rotary engines in the Cosmo Sport. Mazda then honed the technology, won with it on the racetrack, and made it one of its signature features. If you're an enthusiast, rotary was a reason you like Mazda. It's a great part of the company's past. But until this week, that's exactly what we thought it was. History. That all changed with the reveal of the RX-Vision concept at the Tokyo Motor Show, which reignited the passions of the Mazda faithful. Suddenly, rotary was no longer a relic. The rotary concept shown in Japan was a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports car wrapped in the company's latest Kodo design language. It's powered by a Skyactiv-R unit (R for rotary), though specs were not disclosed. Mass production is "currently on hold," Mazda said, maintaining it never stopped development of rotary technology, even after the demise of the RX-8. Beyond that, we know nothing, other than the optimistic statement Mazda offered that: the "RX-Vision represents a vision of the future that Mazda hopes to one day make into reality." Put simply: we agree. OTHER NEWS & NOTES: Subaru previews next-gen Impreza While the Mazda concept was the headliner from Tokyo, Subaru's Impreza design study also stood out. The five-door concept is a signpost for the look of next-generation Impreza. It blends sportiness with functionality, and it's wrapped in a striking shade of 'high-luminance silver.' The fenders are flared to signal Subaru's all-wheel-drive capability, and the front has futuristic headlights that look like something from an Audi E-Tron concept. While most of this will be toned down in production, the concept suggests an elevated style for the Impreza, which is due as a 2017 model. Porsche adds potent GTS model to 2017 Macan line Porsche is giving the Macan crossover the GTS treatment, which will start at $68,195 when it goes on sale in March. GTS translates to more power, a sportier suspension, and interior and exterior design cues that sharpen the looks and reflexes of one of the most athletic SUVs on the market. Porsche recalibrated the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 from the Macan S to make 360 hp and 369 lb-ft, (up from 340 hp and 339 lb-ft in the S). It teams with a seven-speed PDK gearbox and all-wheel drive. An air suspension is standard. The body features a slew of black accents, and the standard 20-inch RS Spyder wheels are done up in a shade of satin black. The cabin gets leather, Alcantara, and GTS logos.
Toyota GT86 GT4 racer is ready for UK competition
Tue, 05 Feb 2013It's about time we saw someone cook up a legitimate race version of the delectable Toyota GT86, and now it looks as if GPRM has done just that. The Buckingham-based race engineering team has built the creation you see here, complete with a turbocharged 2.0-liter, direct-injection four-cylinder boxer cooked up by Nicholson McLaren Engines. The team says the new mill delivers between 360 and 400 horsepower to the rear wheels depending on final testing, which is a sight bit more than the 197 horses the naturally aspirated stock mill offers.
The car will compete in GT4 events, including the Avon Tyres British GT Championship. Technically, the GPRM effort isn't factory backed, but the team says the effort "has the blessing of Toyota Great Britain." How could it not? You can check out the brief press release below below, and be sure to take a closer look at the machine in our gallery.
Subaru Impreza Sport Hybrid launches in Japan
Fri, Jun 19 2015Subaru is adding the Impreza Sport Hybrid to its lineup, but it's exclusive to the Japanese market for the moment. The latest Impreza variant is rated at 48 miles per gallon on the Japanese testing cycle, and it joins the XV Crosstrek as the only hybrids in Subaru's lineup. The brand doesn't currently list overall horsepower or torque specs for the new model. However, given that they share a 2.0-liter boxer four-cylinder engine, CVT, all-wheel drive, and battery packs mounted under the rear cargo floor, figures similar to the Crosstrek hybrid's 160 hp and 163 lb-ft of torque seem likely. Subaru's EyeSight system is standard on all models of the hybrid Impreza, and the tech is programmed to work with the adaptive cruise control to eke out the best fuel economy possible while driving. There are also some styling tweaks, including updates to the lower air dam, revised side sills, a roof spoiler, and LED taillights. Don't get too excited about parking an Impreza Sport Hybrid in your garage any time soon, though. Subaru of America's Jessica Tullman told Autoblog, "At this point, there are no plans to bring it here." The model goes on sale in Japan on July 10 with a starting price of the equivalent of about $18,900, before the country's consumption tax. A higher trim S model with an upgraded interior goes for around $19,900. Subaru Launches "Impreza Sport Hybrid" in Japan Tokyo, June 19, 2015 – Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. (FHI), the manufacturer of Subaru automobiles, will launch an "Impreza Sport Hybrid" on July 10, 2015, through Subaru dealerships in Japan. The new Impreza Sport Hybrid is the second fun-to-drive hybrid from Subaru, following on from the Subaru XV Hybrid launched in 2013. The motor assist function offers smooth, linear acceleration, which is teamed with sharp, sporty handling to bring out the distinctive enjoyment of driving a hybrid model while achieving fuel economy of just 20.4 km/liter (JC08 mode).*1 Designed to make optimum use of the low center of gravity and superior weight balance that characterize Subaru's unique Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive (AWD) layout, the electric motor and high-voltage batteries of the hybrid version are positioned for superb driveability. The hybrid model further enhances the appeal of the Impreza Sport lineup by embracing Subaru design values to achieve its own sporty, top-quality exterior look and a refined, up-to-the-minute interior style.
