For sale is a 2006 Subaru Legacy GT Limited with automatic transmission. This is the harder to find model with 250hp turbocharged engine and leather interior. This car is loaded with heated seats, heated mirrors, heated wipers, pw, pl, and moon roof. Carfax shows that it's been a one owner car for most of it's life with no accidents and regular maintenance at a Subaru dealer. Overall the car is in great shape with the interior almost like new. The paint has normal wear for a used car, but is glossy and rust free. Currently has 136K miles, but recently had a low mileage (42K) engine and professionally rebuilt turbo installed. When the engine was replaced it had a new timing belt, spark plugs, coolant, and synthetic oil and filter change. The air conditioning system was also serviced with new o-rings and recharged at the time of the engine install. Winter is right around the corner; all wheel drive would be great in the snow! Current Pennsylvania state inspection, needs nothing! KBB private party value is $10,300-$12,700K and this doesn't take into account the engine and Turbo. Price to move, only selling because I have too many vehicles.
This car is to be picked up in person within 10 days of auction end, I will not deliver it. A $300 nonrefundable deposit through Paypal is due within 24 hours of auction end. The remaining balance is due in cash in person when the car is picked up. I will not sell the car on a payment plan. If you have questions or concerns of any kind, please address them before bidding on the vehicle. Please contact me if you would like to see the car in person. 2015 Subaru WRX and WRX STI configurator comes online
Thu, 03 Apr 2014Subaru fans, get your clicking fingers ready - the configurator for both the 2015 WRX and the WRX STI are live on the company's consumer website.
With three trims of the standard WRX and two of the WRX STI available, customers can price out their ideal rally rocket. Aside from choosing a trim level, there's not a whole lot for dreamers to do here. A single interior trim (black) can be paired with a decent spectrum of colors. Each trim level only comes with one optional package, which ranges from $2,000 to $2,500 and includes some combination of navigation, a Harmon/Kardon stereo or push-button start. There are also a number of dealer-installed accessories available, as well.
Hop on over to Subaru's US consumer page, and start building your perfect road-legal rally car.
2015 Subaru Legacy
Wed, 21 May 2014Subaru has a problem on its six-starred hands, but you wouldn't know it at first glance. Sales are up; in fact, the Japanese automaker has recorded 28-straight months of increased sales in the United States, leading to the best first-quarter Subaru has ever recorded, and 2014 will almost assuredly be the seventh straight year it has posted improvements. So, what's wrong? The answer is simple, though clearly complicated to resolve. Sedans - specifically, midsize examples - have proven a tough nut for Subaru to crack.
The vast majority of those impressive sales statistics have come from just a few models, namely the Forester, Outback and XV Crosstrek. The Impreza continues to sell at a respectable pace, but it's telling that the XV, after just three years on the market, is already Subaru's third-best-selling nameplate, outpacing the aforementioned Impreza (on which it's based), its high-performance WRX sibling and the Legacy, which is now entering its sixth generation, having been first introduced way back in 1989. It's that last model we're examining today.
Despite the fact that the Legacy plays in a hotly contested market segment that includes such stalwart sales champions as the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Ford Fusion and Nissan Altima, Subaru's competitor registers as a barely visible blip on the radars of new-car buyers. Graphically illustrated another way, Toyota sells 17 Camry sedans for every new Legacy that Subaru moves.
Revisit the charms of the 1978 Subaru Brat
Mon, 27 Jan 2014The Subaru Brat is the automotive equivalent of a teenager with a mullet: weird, a little reckless but brimming with enough self-confidence to make it cool.
The Brat came from Subaru's desire to compete in the burgeoning light pickup market of the late-1970s. To get around the so-called Chicken Tax that added a 25 percent tariff on imported pickup trucks, Subaru threw two seats in the bed, which technically allowed it to be classified it as a passenger car. The result was a great, weird combination of a complete lack of safety, with a low price and lots of driving fun.
In the video below, Motor Trend's Johnny Lieberman takes a 1978 Brat through the desert and shows just how much fun a little pickup can be.
