20005 Subaru Legacy GT Limited
146xxx miles that will go up because it is daily driven. It is silver with all black interior and has 5% window tint. It is very comfortable and has heated seats up front and has LED gauges. The interior is in excellent condition and the exterior is too except the rear hatch and a few scratches on the rear bumper. It does have a salvage title due to the small rear ending. There is no frame damage and everything still lines up correctly. Just because it has a salvage title does not mean I am going to give it away or sell it as a parts car price so if you are one of those people that are low ballers then hit the back button. It will take less than $500 top to fix if I do not get to it before it is sold. I still have full coverage on it and had no problem with the insurance. The car runs smooth and reliable. I get 24-28 MPG on a tank of gas. New parts replaced: Cam seals Rear main seals Timing belt by Gates Water pump Crank sensor Radiator and hoses Replaced some vacuum hoses 6000k HIDs and yellow fogs Brakes and rotors all around ( fronts are slotted ) H6 subaru big brakes so they stop great! Spark plugs and wirers Struts and springs ( oem ) Gas cap Tires have about 95% life left on the OEM Subaru 17" rims The Bad: Again the car has a salvage title but no frame damage Needs a rear bumper beam Needs the little plastic piece on the rear latch to open the hatch from the outside or just needs a rear hatch if you don't like doing body work. There are a few on craigslist, ebay and local junk yards for around $200-$300. Check engine light is on. The code says a bad EVAP sensor but the Subaru forums people say a cracked vacuum hose near the fuel filter causes that code. I am asking $8000 or best offer or trade. Trades im interested in: Subaru Impreza Turbo or non turbo Subaru Legacy non turbo Subaru Forester ** The car is sold as is with no warranties! All sale are final no returns accepted! ** |

Evo shakes down Subaru WRX STI on Swedish tarmac
Mon, 19 May 2014The Subaru WRX STI has never let anyone question its intentions. With a gaping hood scoop up front, massive rear wing at the back and often found with gold wheels spinning all four corners at the ground, there was never anything subtle about this Subaru. The latest 2015 version is made up of many new parts, but the formula certainly hasn't changed. Evo's Henry Catchpole aims to find if it all still jives together on some misty, Swedish backroads in a new video.
Surprisingly, the movie eschews Evo's standard shtick of big, smoky powerslides in favor of a legitimate review of the new STI. However, this isn't Consumer Reports. As the screenshot above implies, Catchpole isn't afraid to chuck the car around a little and put two wheels off the road all in the name of testing the severe sedan's limits. He just puts an equal amount of focus into how it actually drives.
Autoblog's Steven J. Ewing fell in love with the Subie when he did our First Drive. Does Catchpole concur? Scroll down to watch the STI snaking through Sweden and find out.
2016 Subaru Outback, Legacy recalled for driveshaft problem
Tue, Dec 15 2015The Basics: Subaru is recalling 3,251 examples of the 2016 Legacy built between Oct. 24, 2015, and Nov. 16 2015, and the 2016 Outback manufactured between Oct. 24, 2015, and Nov. 17, 2015. The Problem: The driveshaft could separate from the rear differential because the securing nuts aren't tight enough. If this happens, the driveshaft could hit the gas tank, leading to a fuel leak. Injuries/Deaths: Subaru spokesperson Michael McHale confirms to Autoblog there are no reports of accidents, injuries, or fires. The fix: Subaru dealers will inspect the nuts and tighten or replace them as necessary. If you own one: Subaru expected the recall to begin on December 10, so owners should receive notification very soon. SUMMARY: Subaru of America, Inc. (Subaru) is recalling certain model year 2016 Legacy vehicles manufactured October 24, 2015, to November 16, 2015, and Outback vehicles manufactured October 24, 2015, to November 17, 2015. Due to the improper tightening of the securing nuts, the drive shaft may separate from the rear differential. CONSEQUENCE: If the drive shaft detaches from the rear differential, it may strike the fuel tank and result in a fuel leak, increasing the risk of a fire. REMEDY: Subaru has notified owners, and dealers will inspect the fastening nuts, and tighten or replace them, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on December 10, 2015. Owners may contact Subaru customer service at 1-856-488-8500. Subaru's number for this recall is WQV-57. Lexus, Mazda and Subaru top Consumer Reports Brand Report Cards
Tue, 26 Feb 2013A revised methodology in devising its annual Car Brand Report Cards has seen Consumer Reports award Lexus its top overall ranking for 2013. For the first time ever, the institute broke out individual brands from their larger corporate umbrellas, meaning car makers like Lexus and Scion were judged independently from parent company Toyota. That strategy worked out well for Lexus, as the luxury brand earned a top report card score of 79 for the 2013 model year.
The institute has recommended every one of the Lexus models it has tested to date, and said that the company's products won out thanks to "a foundation of plush and very reliable vehicles."
Meanwhile, Mazda and Subaru tied for the second-highest scoring report cars, with scores of 76. Subaru earned praised for sporting models like the BRZ, which CR testers apparently had a lot of fun driving (naturally), while the Mazda products were lauded for their blend of practicality, sportiness and efficiency. Both of the Japanese brands offered good handling, fuel economy and versatility, said Consumer Reports.
