I am helping sell this for the original owner, whom I personally know (I am not a dealer and you can meet the owner should you choose to buy the car). This is possibly the best part, especially combined with the options the car has, that it has only been driven and cared for well by one mature adult driver about 60 yrs old, never driven by a kid so never beaten on.
He's been meticulous with the maintenance, and when you drive it you'll see, it drives like a brand new car. He has always used Mobil 1 premium synthetic oil in the car since 0 miles, and changed it promptly well before required! When at the garage he's said, "do whatever it takes" there have been no corners cut with this car and it's only for sale as he has a new Audi now. A nice big bonus is the clutch was done 2 years ago so that eliminates any worries. Also has had new tires, brakes, and battery replaced within the last 2 years. Subaru to showcase five customized Levorg concepts at Tokyo Auto Salon
Sun, 22 Dec 2013Last month, Subaru unveiled the Levorg concept at the Tokyo Motor Show, previewing what could be the next Legacy wagon. But that's not the end of the story for the concept car.
With the Tokyo Auto Salon - Japan's equivalent to SEMA - approaching next month, Fuji Heavy has announced five customized versions of the Levorg. One is being prepared by Subaru itself with a focus on luxury (including new alloy wheels and a burgundy interior), one by Subaru Tecnica International (with strut brace and aero kit) and one each by aftermarket Subaru tuners Corazon, Syms and Prova.
Subaru will also display a pair of racecars based on the BRZ: the Super GT300 version we've already seen and a new STI NBR Challenge racer aimed at the Nürburgring 24 Hours. Details in the press release below.
Toyota GT86 engineer Tada recounts how sports car came to be
Wed, 13 Feb 2013Because the Toyota GT86, Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ coupes are now a reality, it's almost hard to imagine the struggle that had to happen within the large, conservative corporate structures at both automakers for the joint project to even get off of the ground.
Speaking to those struggles on Toyota UK's Toyota Blog, GT86 Chief Engineer Tetsuya Tada enlightens us with a recap of the sports car's earliest origins. For Tada, the first stages of the project must have seemed almost as dreamlike as the final product is to drive.
Said the Chief, "I had been working in the minivan department engineering new product, but a month after the meeting I was summoned. 'Forget about minivans,' they said, 'you are now working on the sports-car project.'"
