Condition: UsedA vehicle is considered used if it has been registered and issued a title. Used vehicles have had at least one previous owner. The condition of the exterior, interior and engine can vary depending on the vehicle's history. See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"There is a creaselike dent under passenger side door, a couple of small rust spots in paint. Engine wise, there may be bolts or brackets missing that don't affect how the motor runs. The clutch is working, but it is slipping in second gear, and third is sometimes resistant to shift into. There is a piece missing from a rear brake that causes the brakes to stick so you have to tap the pedal until it comes loose. The passenger side door is missing the button that controls the power window on that side. Speedometer does not work, but the tach does."

This car is in great shape for its age. The motor is sound, and runs great. It hasn't been driven much in the last couple of years but I used to drive it from Alabama to Indiana a couple times a year with no problems. I wouldn't do that now though unless I got the clutch looked at first since it's starting to slip again. The clutch was replaced just a year and a half ago, and it's supposed to be self adjusting. If you live more than an hour away I would recommend renting a car dolly and pulling it so you don't risk messing up the clutch if it's just a matter of needing adjusted. I'm selling the car as is. It has some new parts on it, the radiator, alternator, water pump, and battery have been replaced in the last couple years. The front axle assembly on the passenger side and the brake assembly on the front driver side have been replaced recently also.
The vehicle report lists a lien on the title. The title is clear, I haven't renewed the title since the lien holder (titlemax) signed off on it. The title will have a correction affidavit attached to it since I had signed it over to another person who was unable to take possession of it(they passed away).

2014 Subaru Forester XT

Tue, 14 May 2013

Power Doesn't Come Cheap
When Subaru first offered a turbocharged Forester XT model to US customers for the 2004 model year, the shoe-shaped second-gen model fell into a ready-made competitive set of small, V6-powered crossovers and SUVs. The XT might have been more of a raucous shopping-trip companion than, say, a Ford Escape V6, but the basics of the cars offered a clear differentiation from the naturally aspirated, four-cylinder models found just a bit downmarket. Here in 2013, the V6 breed of crossover in this size class is all but extinct, and turbocharged four-cylinders with the power to compete with the XT are not thick on the ground.
In many ways, the comparative analysis gets most interesting when you start looking around for CUVs to match up with the all-boxes-ticked Forester XT Touring that we had as a tester for a recent week. The top of the line Touring trim means that the Forester comes with features like 10-way power seats, leather, navigation, a Harmon Kardon sound system with HD radio, Bluetooth and more. In fact, our Forester also had the only option package available on the XT Touring; one that included keyless access, HID headlights and Subaru's EyeSight system (adaptive cruise, lane departure warning and pre-collision braking).

2016 Subaru Outback, Legacy recalled for driveshaft problem

Tue, Dec 15 2015

The Basics: Subaru is recalling 3,251 examples of the 2016 Legacy built between Oct. 24, 2015, and Nov. 16 2015, and the 2016 Outback manufactured between Oct. 24, 2015, and Nov. 17, 2015. The Problem: The driveshaft could separate from the rear differential because the securing nuts aren't tight enough. If this happens, the driveshaft could hit the gas tank, leading to a fuel leak. Injuries/Deaths: Subaru spokesperson Michael McHale confirms to Autoblog there are no reports of accidents, injuries, or fires. The fix: Subaru dealers will inspect the nuts and tighten or replace them as necessary. If you own one: Subaru expected the recall to begin on December 10, so owners should receive notification very soon. SUMMARY: Subaru of America, Inc. Due to the improper tightening of the securing nuts, the drive shaft may separate from the rear differential. CONSEQUENCE: If the drive shaft detaches from the rear differential, it may strike the fuel tank and result in a fuel leak, increasing the risk of a fire. REMEDY: Subaru has notified owners, and dealers will inspect the fastening nuts, and tighten or replace them, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on December 10, 2015. Owners may contact Subaru customer service at 1-856-488-8500. Subaru's number for this recall is WQV-57.
