2007 Subaru Impreza 2.5i Sedan 4-door 2.5l on 2040-cars
West Chester, Pennsylvania, United States
For sale is this 2007 Subaru impreza 2.5i n/a with an AUTOMATIC transmission. Excellent condition with roughly 77xxx miles. Exterior color is the famous Subaru Obsidian Black with close to no scratches, dings or blemishes. Interior is black and grey and it is CLEAN. There are two sets of wheels for this car, I have the OEM 16" wheels that currently have BRAND NEW snow tires that were only put on weeks ago. The other set of wheels is a 17" enkei ekm3, gunmetal in color that are also new and have new tires on them as well. The original center console lid sat too low for comfort so I upgraded to a taller, second compartment OEM lid that sits at a comfortable height. I still have the original lid as well and will include that with purchase. FULL SIZE SPARE IN THE TRUNK. This is a very reliable car and it is worth every penny. And believe me when I say it is quick!. Head gaskets were done several months ago at 72xxx, along with timing belt and water pump. lots of life left in the car. I am looking to sell as local pickup only. |

Ford, Toyota clean up in Best Car For The Money Awards
Fri, 22 Feb 2013The U.S. News Best Cars for the Money Awards picks winners by looking at the average transaction price, five-year total cost of ownership, the regard a car has from the automotive press, reliability figures from J.D. Power and Associates and safety data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The result, according to the magazine, is "the best combination of critical acclaim and long-term value."
Ford nabbed six of the 21 categories that received awards this year, the Focus, Fusion, Fusion Hybrid, Taurus, Escape and Edge getting trophies. Toyota and its Lexus and Scion sub-brands took another five, the Tacoma and Tundra owning the two categories given to pickup trucks. The other ten awards were split between Honda with three, Buick with two, and one each for Subaru, BMW, Hyundai, Chevrolet and Mazda.

Honda, Subaru airlifting parts to bypass port labor diputes
Fri, Feb 6 2015It should be abundantly obvious that a vital element in building cars is actually having the components on hand to assemble them. A labor dispute on the West Coast between the International Longshore and Warehouse Union and management is not making that quite so easy for some Japanese automakers. Work slowdowns at the ports have pushed Honda and Subaru parent Fuji Heavy Industries into flying some parts into the country. The two automakers began shipping by airplane late last month to avoid production delays, according to Bloomberg, but it has been an expensive solution. Subaru's chief financial officer said the decision cost around $60 million more per month than sending components by cargo ship. They aren't the only companies dealing with the problem, either. Toyota reportedly stopped overtime assembly at some of its factories here because of the delays in getting parts, according to Bloomberg. The dockworkers have been negotiating on a new contract since May 2014, and the current offer on the table to them has offered a 3 percent raise, according to Bloomberg. Although, the union is reportedly considering another slowdown at 29 ports along the West Coast in the coming days. NHTSA releases updated Takata airbag recalled cars list, but it still has errors
Wed, 22 Oct 2014
Unfortunately, the government's list still contains errors.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued an updated list of vehicle models that it's urging owners to repair under the mushrooming Takata airbag inflator recall. The latest version adds vehicles from new automakers like Subaru and Ford that are missing from the original announcement, and it also removes erroneous entries from General Motors, leaving only the 2005 Saab 9-2X (a reskinned Subaru WRX), and the 2003-2005 Pontiac Vibe, a joint project with Toyota.
