Hi all,
Im selling my STI. I've owned it for a little over a year now but times have changed and I no longer need the car. It is high mileage but dont let it scare you. If the odometer showed a different number you wouldnt know it was. I get compliments on it all the time and no one believes me when I tell them the mileage. Here is the rundown on the car:

2006 OBP STI
162,7xx on the Odometer
Motor clutch turbo etc have just about 8k miles on them
No smoke grinds or issues at all. This motor is bone dry of leaks and burns no synthetic 5w-30 oil. I bought the car from the 2nd onwer who only had it a couple months. It had just about 130k miles on it. I put the rest of the miles on in a little over a year. I drive a ton for work its all highway miles.

ENGINE
-Fresh rebuild using all subaru gaskets seals etc
-Supertech pistons in stock compression and bore
-ARP rod bolts on stock rods
-TGV delete
-Witchunter stock modified STI injectors
-Walboro 255 fuel pump
-Bloush rebuilt (i was told by seller) TD06 8cm 20G turbo
-Genaric turbo inlet and maf tube
-Invidia bellmouth to a 3" SPT catback no bottleneck
-1 Step colder NGK plugs
-Grimmspeed EBCS with a hallman Prox manual controller running hybrid
-Comp stg2 Clutch
-Tuned with a tactrix cable, this will go with the car

SUSPENSION
-Stock
-Tires are at about 80% life left
-Brakes pads are new
-Just replaced rear wheel bearings

INTERIOR
-overall a good 8-8.5/10 no burns tears stains at all but obviously its used
-AEM EUGO wideband
-Garrett boost gauge

EXTERIOR
-Limited front replica lip
-RA mudflaps basically brand new

There are no dents on the exterior. There are however 4-5 dime sized dings that have no paint damage at all that a PDR vendor would have no issued removing. Car has a very clean body no rust at all or anything. Rear bumper on the left side has a 10" long scratch. It almost blends in when touched up. The hood does have some paint pitting from the highway miles. The bumper and all trim on the bumper was replaced with genuine subaru parts last november due to a dog running into the road. Not reported to carfax I paid out of pocket for the work. The car has never been in any accidents besides that if you consider than an accident. Overall car is very clean. Its in better shape than many of the 80k mile STI's out there for sale. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. Buyer responsible for shipping, I will do anything I can to help out.

Refreshed 2015 Subaru Impreza priced from $18,195*

Fri, 10 Oct 2014

It was just a few weeks ago that Subaru unveiled its refreshed 2015 Impreza with refinements like a tweaked front fascia, upgraded infotainment system, standard rearview camera, slightly better fuel economy and other goodies. The Japanese automaker has finally decided to tell us what all of this new kit costs, and it actually hasn't increased too much over last year.
A base model 2015 Impreza 2.0i sets back buyers $18,195 for the four-door sedan or $18,695 for the five-door hatch (*not including $795 destination and delivery on all models). All of those prices are $300 more than the 2014 model year.
Moving up to the Premium trim requires $20,995 for the sedan or $21,495 for the five-door and adds 16-inch wheels, heated seats, heated mirrors and a windshield wiper de-icer. The Sport Premium pack, offered exclusively on the hatch, goes further with features like body-color side sills, 17-inch wheels, foglights, and more for $20,995 with the five-speed manual or $21,995 with the CVT.

Factory Five's Subaru WRX-based 818 kit now on sale [w/video]

Fri, 21 Mar 2014

The Subaru WRX has always needed a dash more style, and the do-it-yourself carmakers at Factory Five are looking to accomplish a lot more than that with their new mid-engine, rear-wheel drive 818. The sports car started with a contest in 2011 to create the shape for the company's next vehicle, while sticking within certain limits. A designer named Nouphone Bansasi had his entry chosen, and first cars were completed last year.
The 818 is named after its target weight of 818 kilograms (1,803 pounds), and it's offered in two forms. The S starts at $9,990 and is meant for street use, with two seats and a basic interior. The R model for $10,990 is more track-focused and features a tiny windshield and full roll cage. The company claims that complete cars can be built for around $15,000, after factoring in the donor Subaru. Performance is very brisk, with acceleration to 60 miles per hour in under four seconds, according to Motor Authority.
The kits are meant to be something that even a relative novice could put together. All the builder needs to provide is a 2002-2007 Impreza or WRX. The car donates its turbocharged boxer four-cylinder engine, transmission, axles, brakes, steering and other major components. Factory Five supplies the spaceframe, body, suspension, lights, windshield and some interior trim. It doesn't even need paint, thanks to its gel-coated fiberglass body panels. The company also offers a laundry list of options, including carbon fiber aero components, upgraded suspension parts, improved brakes and more. Kits can be ordered in either left- or right-hand drive.

2016 Subaru WRX: Is this successor worthy of the crown?

Mon, Feb 15 2016

I was leasing a 2012 Subaru WRX, a car I had wanted since forever. When the lease was up, I decided to trade it in and get another WRX, a 2016 model. Now that I've put over 7,500 miles on the new one, I can offer a fair comparison of the previous-generation model and newest model. While the basic DNA is the same – turbocharged boxer engine + symmetrical all-wheel drive – these cars look and feel rather different. Exterior The prior model WRX ran from 2008 to 2014. In 2011, though, Subaru upped the ante by giving its rally-inspired baby a widebody look similar to the STI variant. The WRX was offered as either a sedan or a hatchback. I opted for the hatchback version because of the extra cargo space, and I felt it looked better than the sedan. I loved the look of this car, especially in the classic World Rally Blue paint. The flared fenders, hood scoop, and quad exhaust tips made for one aggressive-looking machine. It definitely stood out from the crowd. The new model, on the other hand, introduced in 2015, is only offered as a sedan. It blends into the crowd for the most part, but I think the front end looks great and the side profile looks sleek. At the rear, Subaru did a nice job with the stainless steel exhaust tips versus the old model's unfinished tips, but the taillight design is nothing special. The low-profile trunk spoiler is a nice touch. The 18" wheels on the Premium and Limited models look sharp, though they're a bit on the heavy side. Interior The previous generation WRX was criticized for its spartan interior, but I didn't mind it. I liked the simplicity. Everything was easy to use, whereas newer cars have a bit of a learning curve with infotainment systems and whatnot. The red stitching and WRX-embroidered seats added some uniqueness to the car. The fit & finish weren't great, though. There was a rattling sound coming from the driver's side A-pillar that I had to fix. Subaru did a good job with the new model's interior. It feels more elegant than aggressive. The climate control knobs have a nice feel and weight to them, and the steering wheel is superb. There's a digital display on the gauges, a small screen on top of the dash, and Subaru's Starlink system for radio and phone. A back-up camera is standard and displays on the Starlink's 6.2" screen for 2016, which has been a surprisingly nice perk to have.
