2006 Subaru Impreza Wrx Sti, Ultra Low Miles, 1 Owner, Florida Car!!! on 2040-cars
Bradenton, Florida, United States
This is the one you've been waiting
for!!!! One adult owner, ultra low
mileage (This is a completely unmolested car with an Autocheck score of 95, it just doesn't get any better then this!!) I purchased this car brand
new from Mastro Subaru in This car is in truly
exceptional condition. Absolutely everything works as it should on this car. No issues, no dissapointments. All it's paint is original, the interior is completely
stock, there isn't a single door ding on it. It's never spent a night outside,
never seen snow, ice or salt. What else can I say? If you've been holding out
for the right STI to come along, this is your chance... One day I'm going to
regret selling this car as they're going to become a serious collectors piece
very soon. This one is so good it belongs in Subaru of Americas own collection up in During my ownership, the car
has only had Mobil 1 oil changes, I've only ever used Shell 93 Octane in it,
and has only required a few service/maintenance items. I replaced the tires in
2012 with brand new and slightly wider (245/40/17) Yokohama S.Drives, Also in
2012 I replaced the front brake pads with StopTech pads and also replaced the
battery with a brand new genuine Subaru battery. The wiper blades were replaced
around the same time as well. To show you how detailed I am regarding this car, I kept
all the original parts removed (battery, brake pads, wiper blades, etc..) so if
the new owner wants them they're welcome to them. It has only two very minor
modifications, an SPT intake and a Prodrive muffler, which I did a couple of months after buying it. I still have and will
include the original airbox/intake. Unfortunately, I sold the original muffler
some years ago... It also has a very nice window tint all around that I had done right after I bought the car. As the car doesn't spent much time outside, the tint is still as new. Take a look at the all the
pictures, it really is that clean in person, it drives exactly as it did back
in 2006 when I drove it off the lot in 2006. The interior still has the new car
smell, it's never been eaten, drank or smoked in... Yes, I'm one of those
people who makes others take their shoes off when getting in my car. This car
has never even had a drink in it's cup holders!!! This has to be the closest
thing to a new 2006 STI out there, unless someone bought one and immediately
tucked it away in a warehouse somewhere. The pictures show a ScanGauge 2 velcroed to the top of the steering column. I use this to show MAP, intake air
temp, ignition timing and speed confirmation. The new owner can keep it or I'll
remove it if desired. The car has a clean/clear
Best of luck and don't forget that reserve auctions need to be bid on early and often to drive the bid up to the reserve price. Waiting until the end of the listing to bid doesn't work for reserve auctions. |

2016 Subaru WRX: Is this successor worthy of the crown?
Mon, Feb 15 2016I was leasing a 2012 Subaru WRX, a car I had wanted since forever. When the lease was up, I decided to trade it in and get another WRX, a 2016 model. Now that I've put over 7,500 miles on the new one, I can offer a fair comparison of the previous-generation model and newest model. While the basic DNA is the same – turbocharged boxer engine + symmetrical all-wheel drive – these cars look and feel rather different. Exterior The prior model WRX ran from 2008 to 2014. In 2011, though, Subaru upped the ante by giving its rally-inspired baby a widebody look similar to the STI variant. The WRX was offered as either a sedan or a hatchback. I opted for the hatchback version because of the extra cargo space, and I felt it looked better than the sedan. I loved the look of this car, especially in the classic World Rally Blue paint. The flared fenders, hood scoop, and quad exhaust tips made for one aggressive-looking machine. It definitely stood out from the crowd. The new model, on the other hand, introduced in 2015, is only offered as a sedan. It blends into the crowd for the most part, but I think the front end looks great and the side profile looks sleek. At the rear, Subaru did a nice job with the stainless steel exhaust tips versus the old model's unfinished tips, but the taillight design is nothing special. The low-profile trunk spoiler is a nice touch. The 18" wheels on the Premium and Limited models look sharp, though they're a bit on the heavy side. Interior The previous generation WRX was criticized for its spartan interior, but I didn't mind it. I liked the simplicity. Everything was easy to use, whereas newer cars have a bit of a learning curve with infotainment systems and whatnot. The red stitching and WRX-embroidered seats added some uniqueness to the car. The fit & finish weren't great, though. There was a rattling sound coming from the driver's side A-pillar that I had to fix. Subaru did a good job with the new model's interior. It feels more elegant than aggressive. The climate control knobs have a nice feel and weight to them, and the steering wheel is superb. There's a digital display on the gauges, a small screen on top of the dash, and Subaru's Starlink system for radio and phone. A back-up camera is standard and displays on the Starlink's 6.2" screen for 2016, which has been a surprisingly nice perk to have.
Cars most likely to be involved in accidents
Tue, Nov 30 2021Data from Insurify shows which models have the most accident-prone drivers behind the wheel. It also shows the proportion of the drivers of said vehicles with an at-fault accident on record in the past seven years, based on Insurify’s analysis of over 4 million car insurance applications. For reference, the national average is 10.78%, and each of these vehiclesÂ’ drivers represent a statistically significant increase over that. Now, it would be easy to infer that these cars are dangerous, but such is not necessarily the case. Remember, drivers cause accidents, not cars. These just happen to be the cars that accident-prone drivers drive. YouÂ’ll notice that many are mainstream, affordable cars, often with decent crash ratings. Also keep in mind that vehicle accidents are up since the beginning of the pandemic, so no matter what you drive, please drive safely. 10. Hyundai Ioniq This affordable, electrified vehicle platform sneaks into this list with 14.45% of drivers with a recent at-fault accident on record. 9. Lexus CT Another hybrid, this Prius-powered Lexus beats the national average at 14.57%. 8. Toyota Prius V Yet another hybrid, the larger but discontinued member of the Prius family sees 14.72% of its drivers with recent accidents. 7. Mazda CX-3 The Mazda CX-3, which is discontinued for the 2022 model year, sees the accident-prone making up 14.9% of its drivers. 6. Infiniti Q60 The second and final luxury car on this list has more accident-prone drivers than average, at 14.93%. 5. Subaru Impreza The first of two Subarus on this list has 15.1% of drivers with recent accidents on record. 4. Hyundai Genesis Coupe The Genesis Coupe was only on the market for a brief span before it was discontinued and Genesis spun off into its own luxury brand. That said, it too beats the national average for accidents, at 15.29%. 3. Subaru WRX Despite its standard all-wheel drive, the boy-racer WRX has 15.44% of drivers with a prior accident in the last seven years. 2. Kia Stinger We love the Kia Stinger, and had great luck with our long-termer that graced the Autoblog garage for a year. That said, 15.75% of its drivers represent have a recent accident on record. 1. Scion FR-S This fun two-seater attracts the most accident prone drivers, with 15.87% with recent at-fault crashes. 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid [w/video]
Mon, 11 Nov 2013The butler announcing arriving guests to the hybrid party has just called Subaru's name, at long last. The XV Crosstrek wasn't even supposed to come to the US, but the 2014 XV Crosstrek Hybrid endows it with a suit tailored for our regulatory dress code, adding all that weighty battery goodness to the Impreza-turned-compact-crossover.
Subaru didn't want to say why it sent the XV Crosstrek to the hybrid party first, but the original car itself was an opportunistic play for the European market that has worked out surprisingly well over there and over here. In areas represented by the American flag it's doing about 4,000 sales per month and on pace to hit 50,000 units for all of 2013; that's just another happy chapter in Subaru's generally awesome year that sees it outpacing Volkswagen through the end of October, 347,890 units to 342,962.
The XV Crosstrek Hybrid is the opportunistic play for the 25 percent of Subaru buyers that will be looking for a hybrid as their next vehicle, so sayeth Subaru, and for those outside the fold who are determined to include the word "hybrid" in their purchase but also want some extra ride height, space and all-wheel drive.
