2005 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS with 179k miles. Body has some small dents here and there and a hole in the spoiler but looks good overall. This was a Florida car so there is no rust.

Car is sold strictly as-is, Please read:

Runs and drives well except has an intermittent rough idle and wants to die at idle after warming up. Has excellent power but CEL flashes sometimes when at idle or low RPM's, though I felt no misfiring or jerkiness. Accelerates smoothly and goes through all gears perfectly. I do not know what's wrong with this car, it could need something minor or more major. I have driven it about 30 miles and it did not overheat or have any missing under load. After it warmed up it did seem to want to stall at idle such as when coming to a stop light. I do not know what's wrong with the engine at all so it is being sold for parts as-is. Will need to be towed. Though I think it could make a drive okay, I would have it towed for peace of mind.

Now with all that being said, I know that the heat and the a/c work great, the tires are in very good shape, the brakes and e-brake work wonderfully. The steering is smooth and tight, the suspension is good aside from a very slight knock over bumps. The interior has wear on the driver seat and floor mainly, but is otherwise good. Power windows and mirrors work fine. The cruise light flashes and the cruise is non-functional. Also no radio is currently installed. The car will come with the currently installed snow tires only.
As said, this car does need work. To what extent I just don't know. I have taken a few 30 minute rides with it and the first time it seeme to want to stall at idle, the second time it just exhibited a bit of a low idle at stops. I'm not a mechanic so I'd rather just sell it and let someone else figure it out.

Vehicle can be picked up in either North Kingstown, RI 02852 or Mystic, CT 06355
I can be reached at 860-245-8040 if you have any questions or would like to take a look at the car.

Days 3-5: Our 4 favorite Patagonia timelapse videos | Subarus in South America

Sat, Feb 20 2016

Sorry for the break in daily updates, Autoblog In Patagonia fans. McGraw and I spent the last two nights at a hotel so remote, it doesn't even technically have an address – just coordinates. We barely had wifi access and couldn't even get a cell signal most of the time, but now we're back with another quick update about our adventures in South America. Since our last writing, we hopped in a Subaru Forester and checked out the massive Perito Moreno glacier, crossed the border into Chile and spent all of Thursday inside the Torres del Paine national park. We drove Outbacks and Crosstreks on some truly epic dirt roads up and down mountains, and even took a break to do a little fishing (we can't work all the time). Friday, our journey took us even more south to Punta Arenas, Chile, and on Saturday we'll cross the Straits of Magellan and head back into Argentina, to fulfill our quest of driving to the southernmost drivable point in the world (outside of Antarctica). Since we've had lots of time on our hands, we decided to take some timelapse videos of the epic scenery here in Chile, and that's what we're bringing you this time around, in the video above. We'll have another update soon. In the meantime, check out our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram feeds to see what we've posted on our very spotty cell coverage. We can't wait to show you everything we experienced when the big, final story comes out later this month. Auto News Subaru Videos patagonia autoblog in patagonia

Subaru XV Concept is our first glimpse at the next Crosstrek

Tue, Mar 1 2016

Subaru debuted a pair of Impreza concepts at last year's Tokyo and Los Angeles shows – one, a five-door hatch, the other, a sedan. But the Impreza range also includes the lifted Crosstrek, known as the XV in other markets. So at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, Subaru presents our first official glimpse at the next-generation, high-riding Impreza, by way of this XV Concept. Details are few – what you see is what you get. The XV definitely has a more butch take on the sedan and hatchback concepts that came before it, in keeping with the Crosstrek's ethos. The concept rides on 19-inch wheels which surely won't make it to production, and we expect some sort of boxer four-cylinder engine to drive power to all four wheels. View 12 Photos All in, the XV Concept looks pretty good. But Subaru has a long history of making attractive concept cars that don't quite carry their beauty over to production. Even so, the current Crosstrek has a sort of rugged handsomeness to it, so here's hoping something similar happens when this concept eventually transforms into a production model next year. "Subaru XV Concept" Makes World Debut at 2016 Geneva International Motor Show Tokyo, March 1, 2016 - Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. (FHI), the manufacturer of Subaru automobiles, today unveiled the Subaru XV Concept at the 2016 Geneva International Motor Show. The Subaru XV Concept is a design concept car that embodies Subaru's next-generation DYNAMIC X SOLID design philosophy in a compact crossover model. Its compact body features Subaru's DYNAMIC X SOLID design elements, the powerful form of a crossover, and a quality feel beyond its class – previewing the design direction of the next-generation Subaru XV*. Main Features of Subaru XV Concept The front, sides, and rear are seamlessly joined in the DYNAMIC X SOLID surface structure, creating a three-dimensional and solid body that is a feature of Subaru styling. The dynamism is enhanced by well-placed character lines on the compact body shape. The design expression of "Enjoyment and Peace of Mind", the value that Subaru provides to its customers, is fully pursued within the limits of the compact crossover model body size. In the area of functionality essential to a Subaru car, excellent aerodynamic performance is teamed with the ample road clearance and luggage space required of a crossover vehicle, achieving blend of function and style.

Subaru suing CA dealership for alleged false customer surveys

Sat, Feb 14 2015

Whenever you buy a new car from a dealer these days or sometimes even go in for service, you can expect to fill out a customer satisfaction survey at some point down the road. The responses are actually quite important to showrooms because automakers require the businesses to keep things at a certain level or face penalties. However, a Subaru dealer allegedly found a way to game that system, at least briefly, and now the Subaru of America has filed a lawsuit in US District Court for breach of contract. South Coast Subaru in Costa Mesa, CA, reportedly falsified 224 customer satisfaction questionnaires in 2014, according to Automotive News. The scheme wasn't that hard to figure out, though. All of the faked surveys were allegedly submitted through the IP address of an Acura showroom managed by the same dealer. Under normal circumstances when someone buys a Subaru, the dealer is supposed to collect the customer's email address and submit it to the automaker. However, South Coast allegedly presented false addresses, and then managers had employees fill the forms out during lunch. Subaru claimed in the suit that by doing this the dealer harmed the company's product reputation and its goodwill among customers. "Defendants prevented Subaru from discovering the actual customer satisfaction level of Subaru retail customers at South Coast Subaru by providing sham customer surveys to [Subaru]," the complaint said, according to Automotive News.
