2004 Subaru Impreza Wrx Sti Low Miles One Owner on 2040-cars
Denver, Colorado, United States
This is my 2004 STI Java Black Pearl. I have Owned the car from day one and have Maintained it to the best of my knowledge. I am a graduate of Wyoming Technical Institute as a ASE certified Automotive Technician. This is not the normal STI that may have been modded to the point where it barley can pass a emission test or is barley driveable. It has always been taken care of with the best parts and attention to cleanliness, NON SOMKER CAR. Never beat down and raced. I have other cars for that. Don't take you chances with a lying dealer or multiple owner high mileage STI. More than likely they have been raced everywhere and beaten down, or have so many aftermarket parts they run like crap. I have done some modifications to the car but it drives like a new car and blows 0.0050 on HC and 0.4181 on CO and breezes through an emission test. I will post pictures taken last week. I have all keys and all printed documentation, manual, window sticker, 2004 Road And Track Car Of the Year Brochure, Sales Brochure, Ect. Here is a list of parts that are installed or come with the car.
Don't get ripped of by a lying dealer or a high price high mileage beat down joy ride STI. This is the real deal. SUPER LOW MILES 44K SINGLE OWNER HKS SUPER SEQUENCIAL BLOW OFF VALVE 2 SETS OF TIRES RACE/SNOW Z RATED SNOW TIRES BRIGESTONE POTENZA RE 070 STREET SLICKS TURBO XS HUGE 4 INCH BELLMOUTH STEALTHBACK EXHAUST SYSTEM GREEDY B-SPEC 2 BOOST CONTROLLER SET AT 1 BAR 14.5 PSI AT FULL THROTTLE, FACTORY IS 12 PSI COBB ACCESSPORT WITH 4 DIFFERENT ON THE FLY TUNES. PLUS REAL TIME MONITORING OF ALL SENSORS, AND ALL DIAGNOSTIC TOOLS. COBB FULLY ADJUSTABLE BILLET SHORT THROW SHIFTER. YOU CAN INDIVIDUALLY ADJUST THE THROW AND THE HEIGHT SEPARATELY, IT IS AWSOME. SNOW PERFORMANCE STAGE 2 WATER METHANOL SYSTEM. SET UP LIKE A NITROUS SYSTEM, FLIP OPEN THE RED SWITCH, PUNCH IT AND HANG ON! K&N PANNEL FILTER, I TRIED A HKS SYSTEM AND TOOK IT BACK THE NEXT DAY, THE FACTORY AIRBOX WORKS BETTER WITH THE MAF THEN THE TUBE SYSTEMS. BRAND NEW IN THE BOX XTR STAGE 2 CLUTCH, NOT INSTALLED ON CAR BUT COMES WITH IT! NEVER ONCE PUT LOW OCTANE GAS THROUGH IT! ALWAYS USED MOBIL 1 AND LUCAS OIL STABILIZER ROYAL PURPLE DIFFERENTIAL AND TRANSMISSION FLUID And for all Honesty sake I want to list the minor problems with the cosmetics, A few years ago I bought a seibon carbon fiber hood, now the clear coat has really faded. It looks great once you wax it but after a few days it will fade again. It can be fixed at a body shop or you can replace it. I sold the original to a friend. There are some scrapes on the front ground effects. there are some scrapes on the passenger rear ground effects but you kinda have to bend over to see it. there are a few paint chips by the gas cap door along the edge where the door opens, there are a few scratches on the rear bumper that will buff out. It would probably be less than 500 bucks to fix it all. The driver seat has a little fray near the door on it. Other than that it still looks and drives like a new car! I would recommend ordering an up graded set of cross drilled brake rotors and pads directly from brembo. |

Subaru suppliers rely on gray market labor
Fri, Jul 31 2015The Subaru Forester is currently the Japanese brand's bestselling model in the US. A new investigation by Reuters is making some scathing allegations about how the popular model is actually made, though. The piece claims that many of Subaru's suppliers in Ota, Japan, are using low-paid foreign workers and asylum seekers to produce components that go into the CUV. The report says that these laborers are coming from places like China and Bangladesh, and they allegedly receive a pittance compared to their Japanese counterparts. Many said that they get about $6.60 an hour, but employment brokers can take a large portion of that pay. At just four suppliers Reuters estimates there are 580 foreign workers, or about 30 percent of the total workforce. The situation has turned Ota into a cultural melting pot because of the significant population of immigrant labor. The problem stems in part from Japan's tiny labor market, and the country's odd asylum system that doesn't allow some applicants to work legally. These suppliers produce many components for the Forester, including the seats, shocks, and fuel tanks. Reuters admits that the businesses have contracts with other Japanese automakers, as well, but Subaru receives the main focus of this piece, which you can read in full, here. When asked for comment about Reuters' report, Subaru of America provided Autoblog with the following statement: "Fuji Heavy Industries does not condone the exploitation of any class of worker, either in its own operations or within its supply chain. FHI expects all employees to be treated fairly, with dignity and respect and to be provided with appropriate workplace protections. The FHI CSR policy respects and adheres to the law and regulations of business as well as upholding human rights and international standards of behavior and the ethical standards of our stakeholders. Our supply chain network has been made aware of our policy and expectations."
We're going to drive Subarus through Patagonia
Mon, Feb 8 2016Later this month, Chris McGraw and I are going on an adventure. We're heading to South America with Subaru to drive cars through the wilderness, including the gorgeous landscape of Patagonia. It'll sort of be like that Top Gear episode, just without, you know, all the bad stuff (we hope). Since this is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, we're doing a huge blowout of coverage, and we want to bring you along for the ride. From February 16-21, we'll be posting video updates and a ton of social media coverage, so be sure to watch the Autoblog site as well as our YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter feeds for all of the latest sights and sounds from our amazing trip. Of course, we'll have a big feature story wrapping the whole experience up, after we get back and shake off some of the jet lag. We're stoked, and we hope you're just as excited to virtually come along for the ride. Stay tuned.
UK designer to make WRX Concept-aping body kit for production Subaru
Sun, 23 Feb 2014Remember the Subaru WRX Concept shown at the 2013 New York Auto Show, the one almost everyone loved but no one expected Subaru to make? Indeed, that Parnassian "design statement" led to a production design that came from a good middle class neighborhood known for its office parks and pasture land. UK designer Michael Bond is offering to change that, the man behind the yet-to-be-produced Rumbler "Superhero Utility Vehicle" touting the Subaru WRX Concept 13, which would take a customer's new WRX and turn it into something pretty close to the original concept.
That means new front and rear clips, including a redesigned rear diffuser to increase downforce, but a spoiler can be installed if the buyer decides that what he wants. The car won't be an exact replica of the NYIAS concept since that would infringe on Subaru's intellectual property, but it isn't clear yet how the design would be altered. Bond's site says that once he gets 50 confirmed orders, his team will order a WRX and begin the process of creating the new bodywork. It is claimed that once work begins, it will be four to six months to "[present] a completed model for public view."
Bond says the price will come down depending on the number of orders beyond 50, but doesn't give any indication of how much those first 50 cars could cost. If you're keen, though, head over to the site and fill out the enquiry form. Who knows if the Concept 13 will happen, but so far this is the best chance you have of getting what could have been.
