I've finally decided to let go of my Suby. It's been my most prized prized possession for over 4 years. I've always taken great care to keep it clean, and treat it nicely since it was in such great shape when I got it. If you haven't driven one of these cars yet, you are missing out. With all wheel drive, turbo, smooth 5 speed transmission, these cars are fun right off the lot. With some minor enhancements, they are an absolute BLAST to drive. The only things I've ever put on this car were tasteful, adult friendly, quality parts. It's a pretty short list when compared to some of these cars you'll see out there. Nothing rice!

  • Race Comp Engineering (RCE) Yellow springs
  • Whiteline 24mm adjustable rear sway bar
  • Whiteilne heavy duty sway bar mounts
  • Kartboy solid Endlinks front and rear
  • Turn In Concepts Klunk Killer kit (Sport/Comfort durometer)
  • Whiteline steering rack bushings
  • Adjustable rear lateral links
  • Kartboy short throw shift lever combo with pivot bushings
  • Kartboy battery tie down
  • Wingless OEM trunk
  • 04-05 tailights
  • Invidia catless Uppipe and Bellmouth Downpipe
  • Full catless exhaust (RSR I believe, was installed by previous owner)
  • JDM style larger hood scoop
  • Black and Blue (STi-ish colored) Leather Seats
  • Brand new 18x8.75 +33 XXR 530s with Fuzion ZRi 245/40 tires with less than 500 miles(also with roadhazard certificates)
  • Recent brake job front and rear, and oil change. AC works great

The only flaws with this car are a few minor rock chips here and there that Subarus are notorious for, mostly just on the front of the car. I've tried to get photos of every one I could find. And yes, you really have to be looking for them. Also, the original facory 6 disc changer has gotten to where it only wants to play the radio most of the time, but an aftermarket CD player is a much better option anyway. I have never had any mechanical issues with this car. The Japanese know how to make reliable stuff, and if you take care of it, it will last forever. This car has less than 90K on it and will bring the new owner lots of joy for years to come. Although I said I'd never sell it, at nearly 30 years old I just have other interests now. KBB on this car is around 11K so I've decided that price range is more than fair. If there are details I missed, just ask and I'd be glad to answer. It's also for sale locally, so there is a possibility the auction could end early. Thanks for looking.

Subaru provides first glimpse at upcoming Forester STI

Mon, 27 Oct 2014

Have you been patiently awaiting an STI version of the Subaru Forester? Your wait may be over soon, good friend, as teaser images of just such a vehicle have surfaced online.
Set to debut on November 25, the 2015 Subaru Forester STI will reportedly feature more aggressive aero and cooling, upgraded rolling stock and brakes, and Subaru Tecnica International's signature bright-blue paint and red accents.
What we don't know is what will provide the motivation. There's a pretty big gap at present between the 250 horsepower offered in the top-of-the-line Forester 2.0XT and the 305-hp WRX STI, and we don't know where along the spectrum the Forester STI might fall. Nor do we know, for that matter, if it'll be offered Stateside. But we're looking forward to finding out.

Subaru Impreza Sedan Concept previews future four-door in LA

Wed, Nov 18 2015

Subaru previewed the next-generation Impreza hatchback at last month's Tokyo Motor Show, and now the appropriately named Impreza Sedan Concept displays how that concept looks in four-door form. Like the five-door, Subie says the styling elements on display here point towards the company's future design direction, not to mention the next-generation Impreza sedan that'll arrive late next year. Other than some darkened trim and slight tweaks to the lower air dam, the sedan and hatch concepts are essentially identical forward of the B-pillar. They even feature the same scalloped character line down the sides. The rear shape echoes the front's angular styling and also shares the five-door's C-shaped taillights. The Impreza Sedan Concept shares a similar footprint as the 2015 Impreza four-door. The wheelbase grows by an inch, to 105.1. However, overall length drops by about the same amount to 179.3 inches. Spy shots already show the 2017 Impreza sedan testing in heavy camouflage, and rumors suggest that it rides on the company's upcoming modular platform. A direct-injected boxer engine is reportedly under the hood, as well. Scroll down for more details in Subie's press blast. Subaru "Impreza Sedan Concept" Makes World Debut at 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show Tokyo, November 19, 2015 – Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. (FHI), the manufacturer of Subaru automobiles, today unveiled the "Impreza Sedan Concept" at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show. The Impreza Sedan Concept is a design concept car previewing the next-generation Impreza which is to be the first one of Subaru's next-generation strategic vehicles envisioned in FHI's Mid-Term Management Vision "Prominence 2020" announced in May 2014. While positioned as an entry model in the Subaru lineup, its compact body features a blend of bold expressions of Subaru's Dynamic & Solid design elements and a quality feel beyond its class - hinting at the design direction not only of the new Impreza but of Subaru's future models as a whole. Main Features of Impreza Sedan Concept The front, sides, and rear are seamlessly joined in the Dynamic & Solid surface structure, creating a three-dimensional and solid body that is a feature of Subaru styling. The dynamism is enhanced by well-placed character lines on the compact sedan style. The design expression of "Enjoyment and Peace of Mind", the value that Subaru provides to its customers, is fully pursued within the limits of the C-segment body size.

2017 Toyota 86 Drivers' Notes | Fun, even with an automatic

Fri, Aug 25 2017

The Toyota 86 is a car that enthusiasts begged Toyota to build for decades. It's small, lightweight and rear-wheel drive. Thanks to a partnership with Subaru that resulted in the BRZ, this stylish coupe hit the streets in 2012. In the U.S., the car was originally known as the Scion FR-S but was rebadged as a Toyota after Scion was axed last year. Along with a new name, the 86 received updated styling both inside and out as well as a revised suspension and a slight bump in power, at least for the manual models. This Hot Lava-colored car doesn't feature Toyota's slick six-speed manual. Instead it rocks a six-speed automatic with paddle shifters. While some enthusiasts may look down at that, automatics make up more than half of 86 sales. Still, the bones are there, and some people don't think the automatic is all that bad. Either way, we can't encourage enough people to buy these cars, as we want Toyota and Subaru to keep building them. Senior Editor, Green, John Beltz Snyder: When I first slid behind the wheel of the 86, I was surprised to see the gear selector and paddles. It's one of those cars that you don't think of as having anything but a manual transmission. Also, in an interior where all the controls and displays are underwhelming, a set of paddle shifters stands out as one of the few tactile objects in the cabin. I ended up using the paddles quite a bit, and found that I actually enjoyed using them, so much so that I'd actually consider opting for the automatic transmission were I to buy an 86. Despite shifts that aren't as razor sharp as they could be, the car's high-revving engine means that it still feels great to use. Riding an engine like this up to its redline, filling the cabin with noise, is the sort of thing that'll give you goosebumps. Being able to keep both hands on the wheel while shifting is a good thing for engagement in this car, based on my time with it. Plus, when I got stuck in traffic, I didn't have to wear out my left leg. The other brilliant thing about the Toyota 86 is its sense of balance. I loved the way it communicated its load distribution when cornering, whether on or off the throttle or brake. The fact that the nose of this car snaps right to where you want it when you start dialing in steering angle is satisfying. And its low stance and good view out the windshield make it really easy to place on the road.
