For sale is my beloved WRX which i have owned since 2006, it only had one previous owner. It broke down on the highway recently and now it doesn't crank and has no compression so i'm pretty sure it needs an engine. Other than that it doesn't need anything mechanically, in fact the clutch is brand new, i just had it replaced a couple of months ago. It has 247k miles, stock turbo, 3" APS cat-back exhaust, SPT intake. It has damage on the body panels on the driver's side from scraping a guardrail but no frame or suspension damage and it did not affect driving the car. Interior is all good, everything works and is in good shape.
I have already bought another car to get me around and drive to work so this is now just sitting in my driveway taking up space. I just don't have the time or money to take it apart, figure out what happened and try to fix it so at this point i'd rather just get rid of it and move on. It has a MA title, i have it and it is a clean title. I drove it to SF from Boston a couple of years ago. There are currently no license plates on it as i have cancelled the registration on the car.
Obviously it will need to be towed and no you cannot work on it in my driveway. If you have any questions, just ask. I understand that the car is not worth that much if it needs an engine, plus the body damage, and the high mileage so i will start the bidding at $500 no reserve.

Subaru revisits 1998 Impreza 22B STI
Thu, 05 Dec 2013It was 1998 when Subaru made some crucial changes to its World Rally Championship Impreza, such as increasing the displacement of the turbocharged flat-four-cylinder engine from 2.0 to 2.2 liters and fitting wide fender flares. Subaru won the WRC manufacturer championship with the car that year, and it also was the year of the automaker's 40th anniversary. To celebrate the milestone, the company came out with this limited-edition, road-going Impreza, the hallowed 22B STI, which looked nearly identical to the rally car.
Only 424 22Bs were built, and most of them stayed in Japan. But Dominick Infante, national manager of product communications at Subaru of America, was able to secure a drive in one of the only two 22Bs in the US. He details the car's history and some of the design and engineering cues that made the Impreza STI so popular both in motorsport and on the street, but we were caught up listening to the exhaust and admiring the timeless blue-and-gold paint. You should too, so head below to watch the video.
Subaru supplies running low as automaker struggles to keep up with US demand
Sun, 02 Jun 2013Consumers in the US are gobbling up Subaru models, a trend that may result in dealer shortages if the Japanese automaker isn't able to meet the surging demand. A quick look at the numbers reveals a 25.2 percent year-over-year jump in April US sales, and a 17-percent gain for the first quarter of 2013. The sales are so strong that the company's CEO, Yasuyuki Yoshinaga, told the Wall Street Journal that Subaru will exceed its 2016 goals (380,000 US units sold) by the end of the company's current business year. The US market has grown to be one of Subaru's best, with the company now logging about half its global sales on our shores.
While strong sales are good problem to have, the automaker has relatively limited production capacity, which may leave dealers with sparse inventory. Certain models, such as the popular Forester crossover (shown above), could hit 10,000 units this month with the plant at full capacity (far above its target of 8,000 units). On average, the US car industry has a 60-day supply of vehicles on hand, but inventory for the new Forester is at just 16 days. "If this situation persists, we'll face a supply shortage," Mr. Yoshinaga told the WSJ.
Despite being one of the smallest Japanese automakers by volume, this is all positive news for Subaru and parent Fuji Heavy Industries, which projects a second straight year of record operating profit thanks to strong US sales and a weaker yen.
Drive-up bank robbery perpetrated with Cayenne and WRX
Sat, 14 Sep 2013Thieves carried out what appears to be a movie-script-perfect robbery of a bank in Sydney, Australia early on Friday morning, using two stolen high-performance vehicles in the process.
At around 11:15 AM local time, in near mid-day light, reports say that two men in masks smashed into the side of a Westpac bank in a confirmed-stolen black Porsche Cayenne. The perpetrators were armed with sledgehammers according to witness reports, and took only about five minutes to take what they were after inside of the bank.
The rapid getaway was executed in a Subaru WRX, also confirmed as a stolen vehicle, while witnesses snapped camera phone images of the illicit goings on. One Twitter user posted a few of the images to his social media feed; you can take a look at them in our small gallery below. Follow on down for the full video report, from The Sydney Morning Herald.
