Sherman Oaks, California, United States

Up for sale we have a 2011 Subaru Forester 2.5X Premium with 44k miles. We have owned this car for two years or from about the 12k mile point. It is a great car but does have some issues. This forester has a rebuilt title. The car is perfectly drivable and drives good but the person who sold us the car did not complete all the repairs. The repairs I know of that the car needs are:

- A Set of Struts

- Right front Speed Sensor (this is the cause of the warning lights)

- Right Front Bearings.

There is also still some frame damage that was not repaired which puts the moon roof out alignment hard to open and close.

Currently the traction control, check engine, ABS and Cruse Control lights are on. we were told by the dealer this is due to the right front speed sensor failing.

All of that being said this a great car for the right person. We have driven the car for the last two years and besides the recent rough ride due to needing new struts the car has been great. The only reason we are selling is because we need something bigger. This Forester also has a lot of features including: Heated front seats, power drivers seat, Fog lights, 17" alloy wheels, Pioneer Avic-110BT Navi that is XM radio ready and NavTraffic module installed. i also murder mat sound deadening installed in all the doors and rear of the car and more!

Subaru pulls on our heartstrings with father and daughter ad

Sun, Jun 7 2015

Do you remember your first car? Was it a hand-me-down from your parents? While it wasn't actually my first car, my parents gifted me a 1990 Mercury Sable as a daily driver, considering that my own chosen car, a 1965 Karmann Ghia, wasn't exactly the most reliable steed in the world. And while I predictably disliked the new-to-me family car, looking back, it was perfect – reliable, safe and, perhaps most importantly for a 17-year-old, free. If it weren't for that car, simple things like going to school, interviewing for jobs and even going to see a movie with friends would have been a massive ordeal. I eventually traded that old Mercury in on the first new car I ever bought at a dealership, with my parents' blessing and, as you might have guessed, my dad's co-signature. While I know not everyone's automotive journey began this way, I'm certain that my story is not actually mine alone. That's why this new ad from Subaru pulls at so many heartstrings – a father cleans out his old Forester, finding keepsakes and nearly-forgotten memories along the way, as he prepares to pass it on to his 16-year-old daughter. Check out the video above, and feel free to share your own hand-me-down stories in Comments. News Source: Subaru via YouTube, Adweek Marketing/Advertising Subaru Ownership Crossover Videos first car

We drive a Subaru to one of the world's largest glaciers

Wed, Feb 24 2016

Now that we're back from Patagonia, senior video producer Chris McGraw is emptying out his camera memory and putting together a number of short clips showing the various places we visited along the journey. (Yes, we wanted to upload these last week, but had little to no wifi connectivity along the way.) In this latest video, we bring you the sights from our trip to the Perito Moreno Glacier in Argentina, and a look at the roads leading into Chile. Our chariot for what was actually Day 3 of the trip was a Subaru Forester, which had no problem tackling the rough dirt and gravel roads through Patagonia, and was an excellent cruiser for the twisty paved roads leading into the Andes mountain range. The Perito Moreno Glacier is massive – roughly three times the size of Manhattan – and is one of only a few glaciers in Patagonia that's still growing. It is truly an awesome sight – one that's hard to describe, because when you see it, you just sort of stand there, mouth agape, fascinated. We've got a few more clips in the works, including our full Patagonia feature video. Stay tuned, and enjoy the view.
