Don’t let the mileage stop you – keep reading.  First, well maintained Subarus are known for their long life and this one has been maintained perfectly by Nate Wade Subaru and Discount Tire. Records are available.  Second, this car with this mileage is still rated by Consumer’s Report as a Best Buy! This car will easily go another 100,000 miles with proper care.  Read more about the EXTRAS!

It has all the standard Subaru Forrester features and if you’re looking at Subaru ads you know what and how good they are: AWD, folding seats, etc., etc., and EVERYTHING WORKS.  But look at these extras no other car on KSL has:

All weather tires with at least 30,000 miles left on them, mounted right now AND a set of winter snow tires with at least another 30,000 miles left on them. Both set are still under warrantee by Discount Tire.

Brand new custom seat covers front and rear and front seats heater - winter is coming

Winter and summer Subaru floor mats

Custom fitted rear seat carpet cover for the rear seats when they are folded down.

Subaru rear cargo protective mat, Subaru rear cargo organizer storage rack, cargo security cover

Subaru roof racks, Yakima cross bars and Yakima Space Case

Custom bra, spare hi intensity headlight bulb, complete owners manual, original Subaru tool kit complete with torx driver for roof racks

Complete towing package with electronic brake control, rear springs boosters, and transmission oil cooler-yeah, a transmission oil cooler for long life on the transmission when towing something.

Last, but not least: new timing belt at 120,000 miles, new disc brakes, fuel injector service, and transmission service just a few thousand miles ago.

Now, look at the price compared with other 2008 Subaru Foresters listed here on KSL and on eBay, sure a few less miles, but no service and maintenance history.  Last time I checked those other 2008 Subarus went from $8,500 to $15,000.  Kelly and NADA lists this car from 8,850 to $9,950 without any of the extras!

Call me now to buy this excellent car with all the extras  for only $8,900 a SUPER DEAL; it won’t last long.

We're going to drive Subarus through Patagonia

Mon, Feb 8 2016

Later this month, Chris McGraw and I are going on an adventure. We're heading to South America with Subaru to drive cars through the wilderness, including the gorgeous landscape of Patagonia. It'll sort of be like that Top Gear episode, just without, you know, all the bad stuff (we hope). Since this is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, we're doing a huge blowout of coverage, and we want to bring you along for the ride. From February 16-21, we'll be posting video updates and a ton of social media coverage, so be sure to watch the Autoblog site as well as our YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter feeds for all of the latest sights and sounds from our amazing trip. Of course, we'll have a big feature story wrapping the whole experience up, after we get back and shake off some of the jet lag. We're stoked, and we hope you're just as excited to virtually come along for the ride. Stay tuned.

Editors' Picks, May 2023: Some Subarus and a pair of luxury SUVs

Thu, Jun 1 2023

The month of May saw a number of new vehicles jump into the pool of Editors' Picks. Subaru grabbed a pair with its brand-new generation of Crosstrek for 2024, and the Legacy earns one in the ever-shrinking midsize sedan segment. In the luxury space, we have one entry from Britain and one from here at home. The new Range Rover already got an Editors' Pick, but now the Range Rover Sport joins the ranks. The Corsair earned Editors' Pick status before its update, too, but now the refreshed version rejoins the ranks. In case you missed our previous Editors' Picks posts, here’s a quick refresher on whatÂ’s going on here. We rate all the new cars we drive with a 1-10 score. Cars that are exemplary in their respective segments get an EditorsÂ’ Pick designation. Those are the ones weÂ’d recommend to our friends, family and anybody whoÂ’s curious and asks the question. The list that youÂ’ll find below consists of every car we rated in May that earned an EditorsÂ’ Pick. 2023 Subaru Legacy 2023 Subaru Legacy View 15 Photos Quick take: The Legacy brings all-wheel drive with sedan dynamics to a shrinking segment, and it does so with a competitive price, respectable tech and tons of utility. Score: 7.5 What it competes with: Honda Accord, Nissan Altima, Toyota Camry, Hyundai Sonata, Kia K5 Pros: All-wheel drive in every trim, spunky turbo engine, tons of space in the rear and trunk Cons: CVT makes for a dull drive, infotainment is clunky, styling is on the bland side From the editors: Associate Editor Byron Hurd — "Not everybody has abandoned sedans. Not only is Subaru keeping some of its eggs in this four-door basket, but it's dyeing them in some festive shades. The new turbocharged and tightened Sport model makes a great case for itself as a grown-up WRX without all the GT-themed nonsense. Shame about the CVT." In-depth analysis: 2023 Subaru Legacy gets Sport trim, more tech, fresh design   2023 Range Rover Sport Quick take: It may not be outwardly sporty, but the Range Rover Sport has a killer design, gorgeous interior, buttery-smooth driving characteristics and a clean tech interface.

Honda, Subaru airlifting parts to bypass port labor diputes

Fri, Feb 6 2015

It should be abundantly obvious that a vital element in building cars is actually having the components on hand to assemble them. A labor dispute on the West Coast between the International Longshore and Warehouse Union and management is not making that quite so easy for some Japanese automakers. Work slowdowns at the ports have pushed Honda and Subaru parent Fuji Heavy Industries into flying some parts into the country. The two automakers began shipping by airplane late last month to avoid production delays, according to Bloomberg, but it has been an expensive solution. Subaru's chief financial officer said the decision cost around $60 million more per month than sending components by cargo ship. They aren't the only companies dealing with the problem, either. Toyota reportedly stopped overtime assembly at some of its factories here because of the delays in getting parts, according to Bloomberg. The dockworkers have been negotiating on a new contract since May 2014, and the current offer on the table to them has offered a 3 percent raise, according to Bloomberg. Although, the union is reportedly considering another slowdown at 29 ports along the West Coast in the coming days.
