2004 Forester 2.5 XT Premium Package w/ Original Manuals, Window Sticker Only 76,487 Miles Great AutoCheck Score

Up for sale is this sweet fully loaded '04 Subie FXT. It is priced as a "mechanic's special" as Subaru dealer service technician indicates it requires replacement of engine and turbo. Being sold "as is" by original owner, with only 76,487 miles.  Besides the turbo and engine, the car is in very good fully functional working order, with very large moon roof, cruise control, automatic transmission, heated seats, interior with carbon fiber trim in good shape, power windows/locks/mirrors, auto dimming/compass rear view mirror, rear window wiper, rear cargo cover, floormats, brakes work well, allow wheels, tires are good, unused spare.  The battery is good, the car starts and can be driven, although it should be towed given the turbo and engine.  The car is stock, no performance modifications have been installed.  Radio/6-CD player is a Subaru replacement (wasn't from the original car), and a new radiator has been installed.  This Subie has been very well maintained over the years by Subaru dealer, garaged (and still is), and from a clean, smoke free environment. The AutoCheck vehicle history report is clear, and is rated higher (score of 91) in comparison to similar vehicles.  I have all the original manuals and documents and the window sticker when I bought the car.  There are four sets of keys, two with keyless remote entry. Thanks for looking.  If you want to see more pictures or you have any questions, just let me know.

2015 Subaru WRX and WRX STI configurator comes online

Thu, 03 Apr 2014

Subaru fans, get your clicking fingers ready - the configurator for both the 2015 WRX and the WRX STI are live on the company's consumer website.
With three trims of the standard WRX and two of the WRX STI available, customers can price out their ideal rally rocket. Aside from choosing a trim level, there's not a whole lot for dreamers to do here. A single interior trim (black) can be paired with a decent spectrum of colors. Each trim level only comes with one optional package, which ranges from $2,000 to $2,500 and includes some combination of navigation, a Harmon/Kardon stereo or push-button start. There are also a number of dealer-installed accessories available, as well.
Hop on over to Subaru's US consumer page, and start building your perfect road-legal rally car.

2015 Subaru Legacy to start at $21,695*

Fri, 16 May 2014

Subaru unveiled the 2015 Legacy at this year's Chicago Auto Show, and while the company was happy to tell us all about its new platform and features, it kept pricing a secret until now. The new all-wheel drive sedan arrives at dealers this summer with a starting price of $22,490, which includes its $795 destination charge, a $400 increase over last year's model with the CVT.
The Legacy takes advantage of a slightly larger, new platform, which Subaru claims is quieter. The 2.5-liter boxer-four-cylinder and 3.6-liter flat-six engines are carried over from the previous generation, but they see slight boosts in fuel economy. All models also now come standard with a CVT, and, of course, Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.
The range starts with the basic 2.5i trim at $22,490 that comes standard with more airbags than before and a 6.2-inch infotainment system with Bluetooth and iPod integration. The $24,290 2.5i Premium trim really improves things with standard dual-zone climate control, power driver's seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 7-inch infotainment system and more. For $27,290, the 2.5i Limited adds a leather interior, 18-inch wheels, a Harmon/Kardon stereo, heated rear seats, fog lights, wood grain trim and more. A top-spec Legacy 3.6R Limited goes for $30,390 and comes with standard HID low beams.

Subaru BRZ to get second generation, says exec

Tue, 08 Jul 2014

Hallelujah friends, hallelujah. One of the highest voices in Subaru's parent company, Fuji Heavy Industries, has just said that the boxer-obsessed automaker will release a second generation of the lovable BRZ.
Yasuyuki Yoshinaga, president of FHI, has summarily shot down assertions made by Tetsuya Tada, the chief engineer for the Toyota GT86. In a recent interview with an Australian publication, Tada claimed that Subaru had not decided whether it would be involved in the followup effort to the rear-drive coupe, and even speculated that the Toyota could team with BMW for a second-gen car, instead.
"If I were to be told that, I'd pass out. It's not going to be just one generation," Yoshinaga-san told Automotive News.
