This car gets excellent gas mileage, is super clean, very dependable, and with the extended
maintenance performed & installed it should take you another 250,000 miles with no problems
if similar services are maintained . . .

This car drives like new and tracks down the highway at high speeds perfectly, with zero road
noise or vibrations.  The car has been kept-up over and above the average maintenance cycles.

Exterior body had a couple of dings or small dents. Otherwise paint is in excellent condition.
Front Grill is a bit rough. and there was a 2" spot of glue spilled on passenger seat. The seat is
clean but the spot shows somewhat.

Under-body is in excellent condition with no rust or road damage.

The front fenders & grill were damaged due to the previous owner rear-ending someone.  She didn't
want the car after that and I bought it from a dealer in Nicholas, KY.  I bought the car from them and
had the damage fixed with new parts and a like new OEM hood purchased from eBay. The hood was
only slightly buckled in the front but I was advised it would be difficult to repair properly with that
type of buckled damage in the front.

There was absolutely zero damage to the vehicle frame, suspension, struts, etc. Only front fender, hood,
and grill damage, with all parts replaced by BBB Rated 'Bluegrass Auto Body' in Lexington, KY.

The Free & Clean Title reflects the vehicle as having been 'Rebuildable'.

This Forester was equipped with a Heavy Duty Transmission Cooler, Full Towing Package, &
External Towing Mirrors, to haul my 2005 Aliner Expedition Camper out West this summer. I was
afraid it just might not be able to pull the High Rocky Mountains with the heavy load I seemed to
acquire of hunting, golf, hiking, and fly-fishing equipment, so I purchased a 2002 Toyota 4Runner
which will better serve my needs which is why I'm selling the Forester.

Autoblog Minute: VW Q3 financial woes, 2015 Tokyo Motor Show

Fri, Oct 30 2015

Consumer Reports pulls its Tesla recommendation, the U.S. Copyright Office offers a ruling affecting car owners, VW gets hit hard with third-quarter losses, and lots of exciting news from Tokyo. Autoblog senior editor Greg Migliore reports on this edition of Autoblog Minute Weekly Recap. Show full video transcript text [00:00:00] Consumer Reports pulls its Tesla recommendation, the U.S. copyright office offers a ruling that affects car owners and gear heads, VW gets hit hard with third-quarter losses, and lots of exciting news from Tokyo. I'm senior editor Greg Migliore and this is your Autoblog Minute Weekly Recap. After a week away testing vehicles for Autoblog's Tech of the Year award, we're back in the office to recap the week in automotive news. [00:00:30] One of the things you might have missed was Consumer Reports pulling its recommendation of Tesla's Model S sedan. The blemish for Tesla comes after a tally of reviews from customer surveys. The most common problem areas for the Model S as cited by survey takers included: the drivetrain, power equipment, charging equipment, body and sunroof squeaks, rattles, and leaks. So lots of stuff. Though they could not ignore a score of "worse-than-average", Consumer Reports still [00:01:00] highlighted the fact that the Model S was "the best performing car" they've ever tested. Telsa CEO Elon Musk took to social media to defend his sedans saying: "Consumer Reports reliability survey includes a lot of early production cars. Already addressed in new cars." And, "Tesla gets top rating of any company in service. Most important, CR says 97% of owners expect their next car to be a Tesla (the acid test)." In Financial news, Volkswagen took a hit and reported an operating loss of [00:01:30] $3.84 billion. This is the first such loss for VW in 15 years. Toyota reclaimed the crown as the world's largest automaker as well. It's important that it's not all doom and gloom for VW though in Q3. Sales revenues were up and the company's automotive division boasts $30 billion dollars in liquid assets. It's a sizable war chest that will no doubt come in handy, as the company has yet to feel the full brunt of the diesel emissions scandal. Good news for gear heads. The US copyright office [00:02:00] ruled in favor of mechanics and car owners by granting an exception to existing copyright law. The law was originally meant to prevent software pirating and bootlegging of Hollywood movies.

Toyota 86 most likely to get more power through more displacement? [w/poll]

Wed, 21 Aug 2013

The Sydney Morning Herald has spoken to Tetsuya Tada, chief engineer of the Toyota 86 (our version of it, the Scion FR-S, is pictured above), and they've been promised that more power is on the way. We've heard a lot of speculation about a more powerful Toyobaru since before the standard model was even launched. The only question now is how the power will be delivered, and among the engine concepts we've already heard about - turbo, supercharger, twin-charged, hybrid - is a new one: more displacement.
Tada said that an engine with more displacement than the current coupe's 2.0 liters is being tested alongside a turbocharged and a hybrid-assisted motor. The SMH cites "inside sources" as saying the displacement option is the one likely to get the go-ahead, and suggests increased bore and stroke will see the engine grow to 2.5 liters, horsepower to about 250 - a 50-hp increase over the present car.
While that's apparently the betting man's solution for the long-awaited increase in gumption, what happens with the next generation could be more wide open than we suspected. According to the report, Tada "hinted that [a successor] could be a radically different car, potentially dropping the boxer engine altogether." He said once they've sorted out the concept for the second generation car, then they'll sort out an engine. That's where a turbo option could come to market, perhaps the turbocharged four-cylinder Toyota is developing for the Lexus NX crossover or a hybrid system that uses a capacitor.
