2006 Subaru Forester XT Limited. Very low original verified miles. Second owner, always adult driven and maintained. Garage kept. No salty roads. Has large moonroof, leather interior, power everything. Engine and drivetrain are all original and unmodified. Runs excellent and has ZERO issues. Transmission shifts perfect. No leaks, No noises. I have done all service and maintenance myself. The paint is black and it is 8 years old. I would give it a 7 out of 10. There are a few scuffs and a couple small door dings that were on it when I bought it. I have kept the paint polished and waxed, it shows VERY well for it's age. Options that I have added, "SPORTS EDITION" front nose and headlight/taillights with carbon fiber front spoiler. 18x8 Rota wheels with Nitto NT555 245/45-18 tires with only 3-4k miles on them. New WRX kyb struts and new factory WRX springs Larger aftermarket front and rear sway bars with precision endlinks Pioneer headunit with CD/DVD and rear camera capability You will not find a nicer '06 Forester with this low mileage! Deposit is due within 48 hours of auction close. Deposit is NOT refundable! Be sure you can buy before you bid! I would prefer you pickup and pay in person, drive it, like it, pay for it. Ward's reveals annual 10 Best Engines list for 2013
Thu, 13 Dec 2012Ward's Auto has released its annual 10 Best Engines award winners. The 2013 list covers the full width and breadth of the internal combustion spectrum, from a spate of efficient four-cylinders to the most powerful production V8 on the planet. As always, the entries must be available in a production vehicle in the first quarter of 2013 with an MSRP of less than $55,000. The supercharged 3.0-liter V6 from the Audi S5 held on for the fourth consecutive year, and BMW earned two spots on the list with its turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder and turbo 3.0-liter inline-six.
Ford pulled in two awards for its 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder and and the supercharged 5.8-liter V8 from the Shelby GT500. Honda matched BMW and Ford with two wins of its own. Wards awarded the 2.4-liter four-cylinder from the Honda Accord Sport as well as the 3.5-liter V6 from the Honda Accord. Chrysler, General Motors and Subaru each garnered a spot on the list as well for the 3.6-liter V6 in the Ram 1500, the turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder in the Cadillac ATS and the 2.0-liter four-cylinder the Subaru BRZ, respectively. Today is a national holiday for pranksters with the Internet acting as a serious enabler, and it's always fun to see what kind of vivid imaginations exist out there in the automotive world. The abundance of fake news gets a little old as the day rolls on, but we did manage to get in a few chuckles thanks to a handful of major automakers and automotive news outlets that got into the pranking spirit this year
Some of our favorites this year includes Subaru showing what happens when you combine a bunch of rumors, a Corvette some may have already thought was a joke or Honda providing some in-car innovation circa the late 1980s. Honestly, we're still waiting for official confirmation from Mitsubishi that the recently introduced 2014 Mirage is an elaborate April Fools' joke using a failed design intended for the 1995 Geo Metro. We dug up as much "official" OEM foolishness we could find, as well as some of our other favorites, and posted them all below.
Subaru reveals WRX STI racecar for 24 Hours of N"urburgring [w/video]
Fri, 10 Jan 2014Subaru has announced that it will be running a race-spec version of the upcoming WRX STI in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring in June. The 2014 race will mark the seventh year in a row that Subaru has campaigned a car at the day-long Ring race, but this will be the first race outing for the new WRX STI, which isn't set to debut until next week at the Detroit Auto Show.
Subaru will be in the SP3T class, for turbocharged engines displacing 1.75 to 2.0 liters, and is targeting its third class win, after finishing second last year. To do that, it'll be going toe-to-toe with racing versions of cars from Audi, Volkswagen and Seat.
The team will be led by Hideharu Tatsumi, who was responsible for last year's team. Drivers will include Toshihiro Yoshida and Kouta Sasaki, while another pair of European drivers will be announced at a later date.
