2005 Subaru Baja Sport Crew Cab Pickup Awd-one Owner!! on 2040-cars
Blairstown, New Jersey, United States
This is a 2005 SUBARU BAJA AWD WITH ONLY 92,000 ORIGINAL MILES. If you are tired of looking at high mileage cars this is your car!! This car is absolutely showroom condition and garage kept. It has had one owner, and was used as commuter vehicle traveling to and from work on I80 which is a beautiful road with hardly a pot hole. Due to the highway miles, this car is as tight as a 25,000 mile vehicle. The car is loaded with equipment including air conditioning, power windows and door locks, cruise control, stereo CD, power moon roof, OPTIONAL SECURITY PACKAGE ($199.00), SPLASH GUARD KIT ($155.00) and AUTO DIM MIRROR/COMP/HOME GUARD ($256.00) and much much more. THIS CAR GETS 29MPG EVEN THOUGH IT IS AWD!!! NADA average retail is $11,575 in average condition. This car is far above average condition. The only cosmetic issues you will find are a few minute touched up stone chips. There are no door dings on this car. Unfortunately, the streets are soaking wet and dirty from melting snow. I had to film this car in the back lot of my detailers shop or it would have been covered with dirt and mud by the time I drove it home. For this reason, please excuse the back drop of trailers and such. Also, if you see what LOOKS LIKE what might be chips or scratches on the car, it is not. These are water spots, drops of muddy water etc......any minute real chips have been touched up and they are not noticeable on the video or pictures.or in person unless you look VERY closely. I DO NOT RESPOND TO E-MAILS OR TEXTS......if you have a question, please call anytime till midnight. EST. If I am on the phone, leave a message. I RETURN ALL CALLS. My name is Al....(973) 570-eighty-six-forty-eight. |

Subaru ending Tribeca production in January?
Fri, 18 Oct 2013The writing has been on the wall for some time, but it seems that Subaru is finally pulling the lever on the guillotine to put the midsize Tribeca crossover out of its misery. Jalopnik has what appears to be a communication from Subaru to its dealers announcing that the final Tribeca will roll off the Lafayette, IN assembly line in January, with the last dealer delivery expected to occur the following month.
The last report we heard regarding the Tribeca said that Subaru could be planning a fullsize, three-row crossover, possibly to compete against the Nissan Pathfinder and Ford Explorer. Dropping the Tribeca would leave the automaker without a three-row crossover for the foreseeable future, but according to the memo, Subaru has sold just 78,000 Tribecas since 2005 making it one of the worst-selling vehicles in the US in 2011 and 2012 - for comparison, the automaker has already found 84,372 customers for its new Forester this year (through September) alone.
We have reached out to Subaru for comment on the Tribeca's passing, but have yet to hear back as of this writing. Stay tuned for an update, when and if we get word.
If your TV rats you out, what about your car?
Fri, Feb 24 2017Vizio, the TV manufacturer, recently had to pay a $2.2-million fine to the FTC recently because it was discovered that its sets were collecting data about viewers' watching habits and then using the information for its own benefit. Last year, it was revealed the Samsung smart TVs were busy listening to what was being said, even if the conversations in question had absolutely nothing with switching the channel away from the Matt LeBlanc Top Gear. Nowadays, auto manufacturers seem to be tripping over each other pointing out that they offer Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto. And more recent phenomenon are announcements—from companies including Ford and Hyundai—that they are offering Amazon Alexa capabilities. You talk. It listens. In late January, General Motors said it is releasing a next-generation infotainment software development kit (NGI SDK) to software developers to write apps for GM cars. The NGI SDK includes native Application Program Interfaces (APIs) that allow access to expected things - like oil life and tire pressure and whether lightbulbs are burned out - but unexpected things, as well. Like the presence of passengers in the vehicle. When your TV set is ratting you out, isn't it likely that your car will? In making the announcement of the NGI SDK, GM pointed out that it has the largest connected fleet on the road, some 12-million vehicles. The company also noted: "From 2015 to 2016, GM has seen data usage by customers increase nearly 200 percent. Mobile app use for GM vehicles also hit an all-time high in 2016, with more than 225 million interactions." Is it not plausible that they know more those interactions than simply the number of them? GM's privacy agreement is like most privacy policies, which boils down to: You use it (the device, software, etc.), you potentially give up a portion of your privacy. While on the subject of apps, coincident with this year's CES, Subaru announced that it has added eight cloud-based apps to the STARLINK multimedia system in the 2017 Impreza. Some are familiar, like Yelp. Some are a bit narrow in focus, like eBird, which was developed by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology for birdwatchers. And one ought to give a bit of pause: RightTrack. According to Subaru, "RightTrack Test Drive from Liberty Mutual Insurance monitors driving habits and provides customers with tips on driving safer to help lower their insurance rates and improve their safe driving skills." Or said more simply: You drive. It watches.
Subaru comes out on the right side of history, stands up against Indiana law
Tue, Mar 31 2015Well, I may as just get it out there straight up and let some percentage of you dear readers take your shots in the comments below: I find Indiana's new "religious freedom" law that opens the door to discrimination against gay people to be reprehensible, along with all the other laws across the country that do the same thing but with different wording. So I was thrilled today when Subaru, which has a plant in Lafayette, IN, came out and said it finds the new law pretty awful too. The statement, issued by Michael McHale, the company's director of corporate communications, says that while the company recognizes that each state gets to decide its own laws, the automaker does "not agree with any legislation that allows for discrimination, or any behavior or act that promotes any form of discrimination. Furthermore, we do not allow discrimination in our own operations, including operations in the state of Indiana." Although McHale told Autoblog Subaru is not considering leaving Indiana, the newly passed legislation has prompted others to say they want to take their business elsewhere. The NCAA said Monday it is taking a look at the law and trying to determine if it will be able to continue holding large sporting events in the state, according to ESPN. In a piece in The Washington Post, Apple's Tim Cook warned that these kinds of laws are being passed in dozens of states across the country and they are bad for business. He spotlighted one proposed law in Texas that would strip pension benefits from clerks who issue marriage licenses to gay people, even if the Supreme Court declares gay marriage legal. "Opposing discrimination takes courage," he wrote. "With the lives and dignity of so many people at stake, it's time for all of us to be courageous."
