This was my third Baja and I just bought a fourth. Yes it is that good of a vehicle! It drives like a car while you enjoy the Alpine stereo with iPod connector, handles well, gives you roomy comfort four 4 adults, gets decent mileage, and looks good. But the other side is much more practical with it’s all wheel drive, higher ground clearance, pick up style bed, switch back cargo hatch, and trailer towing. This car/truck has 125k miles on the frame. The vehicle was Zeibarted against rust and has been cared for. There are small blemishes as you would expect but nothing of any consequence or even that shows on pictures. About 23k mi ago I had to put in a new engine while on vacation. In two of the photos you can see the bill for the work done by Subaru in Colorado Springs. The engine is still under warranty for another 10k mi. In addition I put in a new clutch, radiator, windshield, cat converter, A/C compressor, and last week new rotors and pads. I would not hesitate to leave Pittsburgh tomorrow and drive to Oregon.
The KBB out right sale value would be 8100 in good condition but that would be excluding the engine with only 23k mi. this is how I evaluated the car’s worth. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION. I’m sure you will be pleased for an everyday car. I also have the original crossbars for the roof racks as well. The only bad that I know of is the driver’s seat where the vinyl is split. I will try to repair that before the vehicle sells.

Subaru SVX to be resurrected with hybrid power?
Thu, 12 Jun 2014Salt. Get the salt. A new report out of Australia is claiming that Subaru is working on a new SVX. Yes, seriously.
Now, this is not feasible for a pair of huge reasons. First, the demand for a two-door Subaru, as we've seen with the BRZ, has not been tremendous. Second, the original SVX was a pretty horrible seller. Could the world be ready for a revival, though?
According to an unnamed source that spoke to Motoring.com.au, the reborn SVX will be based on the Viziv 2 Concept that was shown at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, but it will be a considerably more aggressive design, arriving as a low, wide shooting brake. According to the Aussies, the reborn SVX would ride on a new Subaru Global Platform, which will underpin the next-generation Tribeca, because of that platform's support for hybridization.
Toyota, Honda, Nissan and more collaborating to increase fuel efficiency
Sun, 25 May 2014Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Suzuki and Daihatsu have announced an alliance that will see a push to improve fuel economy from both gas-powered and diesel-powered engines by as much as 30 percent before the end of the decade.
The newly assembled Research Association of Automotive Internal Combustion Engines put the roughly $20-million project together, with the Japanese government committing to half the cost while the eight manufacturers will chip in the rest.
According to Automotive News, the automakers will team up and share basic research on internal-combustion engines in a bid to cut costs. Eventually, the results of the research will find its way into a production vehicle, although it's unclear just when we'll see the fruits of this partnership on the road.
2015 Subaru Legacy, Outback crash their way to IIHS Top Safety Pick+ ratings [w/video]
Wed, 20 Aug 2014The Subaru Legacy and Outback are the latest vehicles to be awarded the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's most prestigious safety title, Top Safety Pick+.
As we've explained many times before, this only applies vehicles that can score an "Acceptable" or "Good" rating on the five IIHS crash tests and earn at least a "Basic" rating for crash prevention systems.
In the Legacy's case, it totally aced IIHS's testing, earning "Good" scores on the small overlap, front moderate overlap, side impact, roof crush and rear impact tests, while also bringing home the top "Superior" rating for its optional EyeSight system.
