This Scion xD 5-door hatchback is geared toward young urban dwellers on a budget who are interested in a small car that provides many of the interior appointments of a larger, more expensive vehicle.  A 128-horsepower, 1.8L four-cylinder engine provides power for the front-wheel-drive xD, along with  a 4-speed automatic transmission that shifts very smooth. The xD comes equipped like a much more expensive car. Conveniences such as air conditioning, cruise control, steering-wheel audio controls, a 160-watt, 6-speaker AM/FM/CD sound system that is MP3- and satellite-compatible, a first-aid kit, and power windows, locks, and mirrors, are all included with this xD.  Front seat-mounted side airbags, front and rear side-curtain bags, and anti-lock brakes are also included with this xD,  giving you even more piece of mind.  One of the keys to the xD's more aggressive outward appearance is the combination of flared wheel wells along with large, 16-inch wheels and tires. Inside, the xD's interior sports a conventional layout, with the gauge cluster located in front of the driver, though the speedometer and tachometer are located within the same cleverly laid-out gauge, which resembles a sophisticated watch face. The 60/40 split rear seat folds forward neatly for expanded cargo space.  The green exterior is very clean and free of any dents or dings.  Still has a great shine to it!  Only one spot on the left rear bumper that show a small rub mark.  Only imperfection I could find.  This xD is priced to sell, so don't wait.  Give us a call at 979-733-8444 with any questions at all.  Check our feedback and buy with confidence.  Thanks for looking!

2016 Scion iM shows some sharp styling from a frugal five-door [w/video]

Wed, Apr 1 2015

Scion has been starving for new products for some time, and the entry-level brand has finally gotten two of them at the 2015 New York Auto Show. Of the duo, the iM is probably the more intriguing one because it brings a slightly retouched look for the Toyota Auris across the Atlantic from Europe. While nowhere near as aggressive as the concept from the 2014 LA Auto Show, the production iM is still a fairly attractive five-door. The front air dam features a stylish mix of gloss black and body color touches that look great, and the rear is dominated by a big set of wraparound taillights. It also wears an attractive set of standard 17-inch wheels with a layered effect for the spokes. Buyers have a single engine option, which is a 1.8-liter four-cylinder with 137 horsepower, but the mill can be linked up to either a six-speed manual or a CVT with a stepped-shifting mode. The iM should be easy on fuel bills too thanks to an estimated 37 miles per gallon highway from the most efficient version. Scion's new five-door hatch arrives at dealers this fall, and the brand expects prices to start at less than $20,000. Check out all of the shots in the gallery from the New York show floor for an early peek.

2014 Scion tC taps into its inner FR-S

Thu, 28 Mar 2013

Cashing in on some of the excitement surrounding the FR-S, Scion has given its front-wheel drive coupe a refreshed look at the New York Auto Show. When the 2014 Scion tC shows up at dealers this June, the entry-level coupe with have an improved exterior styling to give the car a sportier appearance while also adding some new cabin tech and an updated six-speed automatic transmission.
The new face of the tC includes an oversized lower grille very similar to the FR-S, but reshaped headlights, hood and vertical lower accent lights also creates a more dynamic look for this budget-priced coupe. At the rear of the car, clear-lensed taillights and a blacked-out lower diffuser finishes the major styling changes. Inside, a new touchscreen audio system also includes Bluetooth connectivity, and the optional Scion BeSpoke Premium Audio includes navigation and Aha Internet radio app.
Building on the tC's sportier image, the automatic transmission adds a little extra excitement as well with a new manual shift mode and a rev-matching, throttle-blipping feature. For better driving dynamics, Scion also promises a more rigid body structure and enhanced suspension components. Scroll down to read all about the 2014 tC in the official press release.

Customize a Scion, make it out of paper [w/video]

Fri, 14 Dec 2012

Shin Tanaka is a "Japanese artist, graffiti writer, paper toy creator, designer" with Kennedy Center credentials - his Paper Shaper sneakers are especially popular. Scion has done a DIY collaboration with Tanaka that can get you every one of Scion's five models as a Paper Shaper.
There are two ways to get in on the auto origami, the first being to stop by the Scion booth if you happen by one of the coming season's auto shows. Since that's a lot of work and waiting to acquire a perforated sheet of paper, you can also download the Scion Paper Shaper app from iTunes. In the app you can customize your model, complete with custom paper sneakers on the custom paper base, then print it out and build it yourself.
If you have any more questions, well, the video and photos below will put it all together for you.
