Selling a 2008 Scion xB. Black exterior, black/gray interior. 58k miles, clean inside and out. Automatic transmission, factory Pioneer head unit with AM/FM/CD/MP3 and is XM ready. Power steering, mirrors, locks, windows. AC works great, as does the heat. Tires have a lot of meat left. This xB carries a rebuilt PA title. A big tree branch fell on this car, and the insurance company paid out. The last picture is what the car looked like before it was repaired. Here's a list of basically what was repaired/replaced. Replaced: Windshield Windshield moulding Passenger front window glass Passenger outside mirror assembly Hood Repaired: Some door dings Driver side fender The car wasn't actually in an accident, as the tree branch fell on it. The windshield took most of the impact, but parts of it did hit the body of the car. It runs and drives great. All damage was cosmetic. It was in and out of the body shop in 2 days. Passed PA enhanced inspection with flying colors. Reconstructed title has been issued, and will title/register in all 50 states. Mileage right now is around 58,170. My father does drive it every so often, to Atlantic City, so mileage may go up slightly. He drives this because this things gets much better gas mileage than his gas guzzler. This car is sold as-is, without warranty, expressed or implied. Title is in hand, in my name and ready to go! Customize a Scion, make it out of paper [w/video]
Fri, 14 Dec 2012Shin Tanaka is a "Japanese artist, graffiti writer, paper toy creator, designer" with Kennedy Center credentials - his Paper Shaper sneakers are especially popular. Scion has done a DIY collaboration with Tanaka that can get you every one of Scion's five models as a Paper Shaper.
There are two ways to get in on the auto origami, the first being to stop by the Scion booth if you happen by one of the coming season's auto shows. Since that's a lot of work and waiting to acquire a perforated sheet of paper, you can also download the Scion Paper Shaper app from iTunes. In the app you can customize your model, complete with custom paper sneakers on the custom paper base, then print it out and build it yourself.

Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race Scion FR-S [w/video]
Thu, 07 Mar 2013Toyota has been hosting its Pro/Celebrity race at the Toyota Grand Prix on Long Beach since 1977. The charity event, which has raised millions of dollars over the years, traditionally pits Hollywood celebrities against professional athletes (including race car drivers) on the full Grand Prix course in modified street vehicles. The short, sprint-style race is popular with the crowds as the amateur drivers race uninhibited - the result is an action-packed race with plenty of excitement and automotive... er... carnage.
Over the decades, the drivers have raced a variety of Toyota products including last year's front-wheel-drive Scion tC. But this year, Toyota announced at the Chicago Auto Show that the new rear-wheel-drive Scion FR-S would be stepping up to the plate. The good news only became better when Toyota Motorsports invited us out to Southern California's Willow Springs Raceway (the same circuit where the drivers train and practice) to be one of the first behind the wheel.

Nissan exec Andy Palmer derides Toyobaru coupes as 'midlife crisis' cars
Mon, 28 Oct 2013Andy Palmer, Nissan's executive vice president, does not like the Scion FR-S or Subaru BRZ. To us, that's like saying you enjoy barbecuing puppies, but we'll let him slide, because his statements about the Toyobaru twins are much, much more than just idle trash talk.
Speaking to Motor Trend's Nate Martinez, Palmer said, "Do we have any competitors [in the small, rear-drive coupe segment]? Are you talking about the Subaru [BRZ]? It was a car designed for a 50-year-old. It's for a midlife crisis. That's not what we do." Strong words, but what followed was even better.
"Are you coming to the Tokyo Motor Show? You'll see the answer to the midlife crisis. Except it won't be for the midlife crisis." So, if you were wondering whether Nissan is working on a competitor to the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ, the answer seems to be a resounding "yes."
