2006 Scion Tc on 2040-cars
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States
Hi,
I am selling my 2006 Scion TC. 2 owner. NO ACCIDENTS. CLEAN TITLE ON HAND. JUST GOT STATE INSPECTION PASSED WITH A BREEZE. Currently 106k on the clock. Feels like 50k honestly. Comes with all factory manuals. Spare key. Awesome engine. Well taken care of. Nothing but Mobile 1 5w30 fully synthetic oil and running on 93 octane. I am NOT cheap about taken care of my ride. New battery. NEW OEM gas cap. It has a new OEM clutch set installed, new rear and front main seals, new oil pump, new waterpump, and new timing chain kit. All original and have the documents to back it up. NO LEAKS what so ever. Shifts like butter. Engages smooth. Clutch pedal feels very nice. Of course when the clutch was installed, the trans. got a oil change with 75w90 Valvoline synthetic and transmission was resealed with OE Toyota red trans silicon. This car has NO mods. No funny sound systems. No funny air intakes. All OE. Everything works. Front and rear tires have roughly 50-60% life left. Front brakes are about 60% to 75%. Rear brake pads are NEW. What more can you want? Not only that, but I can arrange a lift and buyer can inspect the car FULLY! NO RUST! Nothing to hide. There might be cheaper priced tc's out there, but I guarantee they are not clean, original, and taken care of as this one. The price is FAIR due to the fact of all the service done, BUT I am open to offers and if you are interested to come and look at the car my phone is on 24/7. 267 471 7720 Thank you |

Scion shows tC Release Series 9.0, Giants fans rejoyce
Thu, 30 Oct 2014The timing is perfect. Really, Scion couldn't have done any better, unveiling the latest member of the Scion tC Release Series - number 9.0, a stylish black-and-orange looker - barely a day after the San Francisco Giants, whose color scheme is black and orange, won the World Series. Also, one day before Halloween.
The Scion's well-timed color scheme is the product of Jeremy Lookofsky of Cartel Customs. The company's styling treatment also includes the custom body kit and orange seatbelts.
The Release 9.0's two main performance enhancements include a center-exit exhaust and TRD lowering springs. Beyond that, though, the changes are largely aesthetic. Black wheels, accents and badges round out the exterior changes, while the cabin features orange contrast stitching on the steering wheel and seats and orange paint on the dash and shifter surround.
Toyota FT-86 Open Concept would make a mighty fine droptop FR-S
Tue, 05 Mar 2013There's nothing wrong with going topless. And Toyota is proving that its FT-86 (read: Scion FR-S/Toyota GT86/Subaru BRZ) coupe is just as excellent with its roof removed. It may only be a concept, but this FT-86 Open previews a new droptop from the Japanese automaker to round out the Toyobaru sports car family. We're finally getting the chance to see the open-air FT-86 in person here at the Geneva Motor Show, and we're already yearning to take it canyon-carving.
Interestingly, the FT-86 retains the Toyota coupe's two-plus-two seating arrangement (we'd prefer a proper roadster setup here), but things still look good for this droptop two-door. We'll be curious to see how the car looks with its folding soft top in place (operated by fancy-shmancy electronics, by the way).
As for production intent, rumors have been flying about a production Scion FR-S convertible, but until we hear it directly from Toyota. Consider our hopes in check but our fingers crossed.
Toyota C-HR stays sharp from prototype to production
Tue, Mar 1 2016Scion is dead. While the troubled brand was given 13 years to make a case for itself, it never quite succeeded. And that's a shame, because we're pretty confident that this, the production-spec Toyota C-HR would have been one of its biggest hits. Instead, when it arrives in the US, it will be as a Toyota... where it will still likely be a big hit. The new small CUV made its debut after literally years of teasing concepts, the most recent of which was shown late last year in Los Angeles, where it was badged as a Scion. After seeing that car, it's quite clear that Toyota has strained itself to translate its style to the real world. Up front, there's clear inspiration from the Toyota Auris/Scion iM. But aside from the front, the C-HR's biggest inspiration appears to be the Nissan Juke. View 14 Photos It's like Toyota has tried to go even further, though. Its wheel arches are flared even more aggressively and they feed into a strong character line on the lower portion of the doors. In back, Toyota's designers seem to have just rotated the Juke's taillights 180 degrees while they sit below an extremely fast rear window. Said window is integrated into today's latest design trend, a floating roof. Mechanically, the C-HR rides atop Toyota's New Global Architecture, which is Japan's answer to Volkswagen's MQB architecture. Power comes from a hybrid drivetrain, good for a relaxed 120 horsepower. If you don't want hybrid power, Toyota will sell the C-HR with the Euro-market Auris' turbo 1.2-liter engine, but we almost certainly won't see that here in the US. Instead, American drivers will probably be left with nothing but a 2.0-liter, naturally aspirated four-cylinder. That engine will be exclusively paired with a continuously variable transmission that sends power to either the front- or to all four wheels. So there's Juke inspiration, but not in the driving character. Toyota says it will build the C-HR Hybrid in Turkey. We don't know if that facility will handle US-market vehicles or just Europe, but we wouldn't be surprised to see additional facilities come online to produce this stylish little bugger.
