With the Stance GR+ Coilovers and TrakLite wheels, it is a DREAM to drive. It has a perfect 0 degree alignment (see in receipts link below) and feels like a brand new BMW. The Nameless Exhaust sounds great with the Perrin intake and tune. Check out this video to hear it for yourself: I was the original owner of the car, bought new off dealership floor. I do a lot of traveling down south for work, and traveled between Ohio and Atlanta. I was driving it around town in Ohio, and someone let their dog loose. It ran right into the middle of the road in front of me, and I slammed on the brakes and swerved to avoid hitting it. I impacted a fire hydrant going about 5-10 miles per hour, and the air bags deployed. It was towed to a lot, and my insurance company totaled it out due to being a 2013. The agent offered to sell me the car back for a little under half retail, and since I knew the history of the car. When the tower was trying to get it on the flat bed, he cranked the engine and let it run - but the oil pan had a huge hole in it, and it blew the engine. You can see the accident pictures by clicking here: Accident Pictures Rebuilt title means this vehicle qualifies for any loan from any bank, and full coverage insurance from your insurance company, insured to the full retail value. It has been fully inspected by Ohio State Highway Patrol and I currently carry full coverage insurance with $10,000 in custom coverage on it as well. So I decided to make the car everything I had ever wanted. A new replacement engine was installed at 31,845 miles (vehicle only has 33,279 on it now, which means the engine has 1,434 actual miles.) I used all Toyota OEM replacement parts, and had a friend that owned a Carstar Body shop customize everything for me. The car is 100% straight and true, and here is your chance to save $10,000 - $15,000 over equipping one yourself. You can see the receipts equaling over $17,000 here: Receipts and Alignment The car is a joy to drive, and is always garaged. Every time I drive it, people ask at a gas station if it is a new Ferrari or exotic car. All the FR-S and scion badges have been removed, and replaced with GT86 emblems. The car is 100% flawless, and turns heads everywhere it drives. I had originally planned on putting a GReddy Turbo on it, as I am a dealer, but have a child on the way and this is my 4th car. I can include a new sealed GReddy turbo kit to the next owner for an additional $2900 on top of the winning bid, if you are interested. No trouble lights on the dash are lit - it truly is flawless. I would trust the car to be driven from Cleveland, Ohio across the United States without a single issue. If you are interested, I do get great transport rates through my company that uses only licensed, insured, bonded carriers. Contact me if you'd like a ship quote - it usually is much cheaper than fuel cost. Any questions, do not hesitate to contact me at 614-522-9626. Here are 80+ Additional larger pictures: |

Despite slow sales, no new Scion models in near-term pipeline [w/poll]
Mon, 09 Sep 2013According to a top Toyota executive, the Japanese automaker will not be introducing any fresh Scion models in the near future, Reuters reports. As of August, Scion sales for this year were down 1.6 percent from 2012 and accounted for only 0.3 percent of Toyota's overall US sales. And last month, Toyota Motor Sales USA Senior Vice President Bob Carter informed the 1,000 dealers who carry Scion that they can drop the brand without penalty.
However, never fear - Carter has assured that, while nothing new is coming for at least six months, the company is still very committed to the quirky Scion brand. Toyota launched Scion, which targets the youth market, in 2003, and sales peaked in 2006. The brand currently has five models, with the 2013 best-sellers being the FR-S sports coupe followed by the tC sedan and xB hatchback.
What do you think about Toyota's decision to hold off on introducing new or refreshed Scion models? Are they heading in the right direction, or does this spell doom for the funky Gen Y brand?
New drifting world record set in Toyota GT86
Wed, 30 Jul 2014We have entered a drifting arms race. Last year, BMW smashed the Guinness World Record for the longest drift by hanging the tail out for 51.3 miles around a wet skid pad in an M5 at the BMW Performance Driving School in South Carolina. That beat the previous milestone of nearly seven miles. Now, Bimmer's record is up in smoke as well and is in the possession of a Toyota.
German driver Harald Müller pummeled the old record to drift for 89.55 miles around a 0.15-mile (235.5-meter) course in Samsun, Turkey, in a Toyota GT86 (or Scion FR-S as it's known in the US). According to the Guinness World Records website, it took him 612 laps and 2 hours, 25 minutes and 18 seconds to manage the achievement. Sit back to watch a few minutes of the German's two and a half hours behind the wheel with the tail out.
Scion FR-S Release Series 2.0 offers subtle sophistication
Tue, Jan 12 2016The 2016 Detroit Auto Show offers a chance to get a closer look at Scion's subdued FR-S Release Series 2.0. Toyota's youth-oriented branch is experimenting with a slightly more luxurious take on the FR-S. Just 1,000 examples will be made. The Release Series 1.0 showed Scion leaning heavily on the FR-S' sporty image with bright yellow paint, a lowered suspension, and quad exhaust outlets, but the 2.0 takes the opposite approach. The exterior wears a subtle body kit that features a discreet front lip and trunk lid spoiler. A nondescript light beige color called Lunar Storm isn't particularly notable, but at least the black 17-inch wheels lend a little aggressiveness. Inside, Scion keeps drivers warm and holds them tight in heated seats with upholstery that combines black Alcantara and light brown leather. The trim for the steering wheel, door panels, and much of the stitching matches this motif. The Release Series 2.0 also comes with luxury features like push-button start, dual-zone climate control, and HID headlights. Check out the limited FR-S in our gallery above. Prices for the Release Series 2.0 start at $30,305 (after $795 destination) with the six-speed manual or $31,405 for the automatic. SCION PAIRS SPORTS AND STYLE FOR 2016 FR-S RELEASE SERIES 2.0 TORRANCE, Calif., (Oct. 29, 2015) Drivers of the 2016 Scion FR-S Release Series 2.0 will look better than ever in the most stylish version of the sports car ever offered. The new FR-S Release Series 2.0 comes with luxurious appointments and premium features, and with just 1,000 vehicles available, it's the most elusive and exclusive Scion Release Series yet. The interior creates the lap of luxury with heated seats in black Alcantara and leather with camel-colored accents. The same black and camel theme continues to the leather-trimmed steering wheel while the shift knob and parking brake lever are covered in black leather. Camel trim also appears on the door armrest and the upper door trim while the center armrest and knee pads are black. Camel accent stitching is prominent throughout the interior and embroidered on the dash insert is the release series badge, sequentially numbered from 1 to 1000. Additional luxury features include Smart key with push-button start, dual-zone automatic climate control and HID headlamps with LED daylight running lamps. On the outside, the Release Series 2.0 will make a statement with Lunar Storm paint and 17-inch forged alloy wheels.
