This is a California car, it's never been in snow and has no corrosion. The car is a 5 speed and has the 2.0 Turbo Engine with 260 horses! Overall the car is in excellent condition and everything is in great shape. I just took it on a good 100 mile drive today and it performed perfectly and is very quick. The turbo boosts like it should and this car is a joy to drive! Please call me at 949 2 8 5 - 8 0 1 1 with questions.
Exterior wise the car looks excellent, I would rate it about a 9 out of 10. Top is in very good shape and goes up and down perfectly. Has the factory rear wing and dual exhaust. 18" Chrome wheels look excellent and have minimal curb rash. Goodyear tires are in very good shape. Interior wise, the car looks excellent, about a 9.5 out of 10. Seats look perfect as well as carpet and original floor mats. There are no foul odors in this car and it is obvious the previous owner took excellent care of this Sky. All electrical and mechanical works inside the car and you won't be dissapointed! Look at the photos the interior speaks for itself! Has onstar and steering wheel controls. On board computer shows, outside temperature, Boost pressure, Tire Pressure, Oil Temp, Coolant Temp and more, pretty cool! Has CD player with AUX input and XM Radio. Mechanically, the 2.0 Turbo engine runs smooth and quiet. The Red Line comes with factory intercooler and built in boost gauge so you can keep your eye on the turbo pressure! I don't think there will be any complaints about this car as it runs and drives very nice. No warning lights, no funny noises to worry about. The car shifts perfectly and the clutch feels excellent. Has Goodyear Eagle RS tires all around and they have at least 70% remaining, the car rides smooth and handles excellent. The brake rotors are smooth and there is over 80% pad remaining. This is a nice Redline and will be a great deal! Act quickly if you want the car! Call me at 949 2 8 5 - 8 0 1 1 |

Guess when this car will plunge through the ice, win $1,500
Mon, Feb 18 2019In Michigan's Upper Peninsula, a sad-sack Saturn raises money for charity while awaiting an icy fate. The 1998 Saturn is a bright orange beacon inviting folks to make a bet on the coming of spring. When the weather warms up enough and this Saturn sinks, someone is going to take home $1,500. It's the Iron Mountain–Kingsford Rotary Club's annual car-plunge contest, a fundraiser that takes bets on when this car will fall through the ice. The contest had been run in years past and was resurrected in 2015. In the old days, the hapless cars sank to the bottom of the lake, which is actually a flooded old iron mine. In today's more enlightened environmental era, this Saturn is attached to a cable affixed to an anchor on shore, allowing it to be yanked out of the water. It also has been drained of all fluids, degreased, and had its powertrain, battery, and radiator removed (which means it weighs about 1,800 pounds). The lake sits alongside a main highway, assuring maximum visibility for the car and the contest. But it's not only locals who are invited to take a chance; anyone 18 and over can bet via this online link. Ten dollars buys three chances. Whoever most closely guesses the date and time that the Saturn slips under the waves takes home $1,500. Betting closes March 15. The past four years have seen the car fall through on March 17, April 2, April 4, and April 26 — although, as they say, past performance is no guarantee of future returns. And remember: Bet with your head, not over it. Here's video of last year's fateful moment ...
GM's got 107 problems and NHTSA's No. 1
Thu, Mar 6 2014General Motors' problems with its recall of roughly 1.6-million vehicles continue to mount. Now that it has emerged that GM knew about the problem since at least 2004 but waited to recall vehicles until February 2014, regulators at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have begun a much deeper investigation. NHTSA has sent a 27-page survey to GM that includes 107 questions about the timeline of what led up to the recall, and it has until April 3 to reply. This isn't a simple, multiple-choice test. Automotive News believes that hundreds of pages could be required to answer some of the queries. NHTSA says that it is still investigating GM's response to the recall. "We are a data-driven organization, and we will take whatever action is appropriate based on where our findings lead us," said NHTSA in a statement on its website. If found liable, the automaker could face a fine as high as $35 million and even possible criminal charges, according to Bloomberg. NHTSA's questions include a detailed explanation of GM's examination process; how it will improve the process; why a planned redesign of the cars' key in 2005 wasn't implemented; and specific data on each complaint it received. According to Bloomberg, NHTSA also has records that show the company had a meeting with regulators to discuss the airbag failure in a Chevrolet Cobalt in 2007. New GM CEO Mary Barra has also hired an outside law firm to conduct an independent investigation about what happened. It will include questioning company employees who were involved with the process from the start. The recall stems from faulty ignition switches that shut off the car while driving, and if it occurs the airbags deactivate. Thirteen deaths and 23 crashes have been caused by the problem, according to Bloomberg. If you would like to peruse NHTSA's entire questionnaire for GM, it can be viewed here. VIDEO: Saturn's demise? We blame Jim Gaffigan*

When the deal to sell Saturn to Penske Automotive fell through, there were likely a lot of surprised people at General Motors' Detroit, MI headquarters. Penske released a statement saying that the reason the deal fell through after months of good faith negotiations was that a suitable post-GM supply of vehicles could not be found. However, after reacquainting ourselves with over eight minutes of outtakes from Jim Gaffigan's old Saturn commercial, we're thinking the comedic pitchman is to blame.
