Awesome old saab 9000 for sale. Runs and drives great!   The black paint is in beautiful shape and there is no oxidization or rust. There are minor imperfections in the paint but no dents or dings in the body. The interior is in fantastic shape, no rips or tears anywhere and no big stains on the carpet. All the wood trim is in good shape and not cracked. The dash is cracked right in the middle from the sun. It may need front struts soon but is perfectly driveable. The car has keyless entry, power mirrors, locks, windows, sunroof, seats w/memory, heated seats, climate control, cruise control, and a cd player and tape player! Heater heats up quick and blows hot and the A/C is ice cold!

Everything works, no leaks, no lights on the dash, no weird noises, starts up every time! Tires are good! CLEAR TITLE.

These are the only issues with the car that I know of.

1: there is a hole in the exhaust that I have taken a photo of. It makes the car loud and needs to be patched or replaced. A local shop quoted me $200 to weld up a new one.
2. the lower passenger fog light housing is cracked. The fog light still works great.
3. The hood latch cable broke, but the hood is still openable from the outside.
4. Rear tires are brand new pirellis, but the fronts need new tires soon.

If you have any questions please feel free to message me. Comes with the original key and keyless entry fob. Also has the spare, jack, and original tool kit.

The Saab 9-3 that never was finally shows up

Fri, 22 Feb 2013

Looking back on the life and [slow and painful] death of Saab, it's impossible to not stop and think of what might have been with the quirky Swedish automaker. As it turns out, SaabsUnited has decided to shed some light on what the company's future might have looked like, including some images and information that include full-scale mockups of the 9-3 Phoenix, which you see above.
In its waning years, Saab's lead designer Jason Castriota was working feverishly to deliver new products that built on the heritage of the brand while doing so at a lower cost and in a shorter time period than previous models. In the end, though, it sounds like the earliest that we could have seen any of these plans come to fruition was 2014. In addition to hatchback and convertible 9-3 variants, Castriota also created the Sonnett - a sporty-looking 2+2 that never made it past the design study phase.
Regardless of whether you're a diehard fan of the brand or if you were just pulling for the underdog, you'll want to head on over to SaabsUnited to check out a little more of what the future could have held for Saab.

Boeing, Saab take first flight in T-X trainer 36 months after starting development

Wed, Dec 21 2016

This post is appearing on Autoblog Military, Autoblog's sub-site dedicated to the vehicles, aircraft and ships of the world's armed forces. Bringing a new fighter from drawing board to its first flight is generally a lengthy endeavor, taking years of planning and tweaking and engineering. Or, at least it normally does. Boeing and Saab just took their new joint-developed training fighter, the T-X, out for its first spin just 36 months after starting development. According to Saab's deputy program manager for the T-X, Eddy De la Motte, that's half the time it usually takes to get a new jet in the sky. "We went from [critical design review] to first flight in 12 months. We don't do that very much at the Boeing Company," Boeing's program manager for the T-X, Ted Torgerson told Defense News. "I don't want to say it has not been done, but for a manned aircraft to go through a complete production-ready design, that is as fast and as efficient as we've ever been through it." Boeing/Saab's first test flight was a simple, 55-minute matter for Boeing test pilots Steven Schmidt and Dan Draeger. The pair took the plane up to 10,000 feet and hit speeds of 231 knots (265 miles per hour) while running handling checks on the twin-tail, single-engine jet. "I've been a part of this team since the beginning, and it was really exciting to be the first to train and fly," pilot Schmidt said. "The aircraft met all expectations. It's well designed and offers superior handling characteristics. The cockpit is intuitive, spacious and adjustable, so everything is within easy reach." "It was a smooth flight and a successful test mission," Draeger, who rode shotgun in the instructor's seat said in an official release. "I had a great all-around view throughout the flight from the instructor's seat, which is critical during training." Boeing/Saab's T-X is one of four jets competing for the role as the US military's next training aircraft. Northrop Grumman is fielding a clean-sheet design that allegedly flew earlier this year, while Lockheed Martin and Raytheon are modifying existing designs with partners – the South Korean KAI T-50 for Lockheed and the Leonardo M-346 for Raytheon. NEVS completes Saab purchase, earns right to brand name but not griffin badge

Mon, 03 Sep 2012

According to the Associated Press, a Hong Kong-based concern is close to building new Saab models. After some delays, National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS) has completed the purchase of bankrupt Swedish automaker Saab.
NEVS says it plans to debut an electric vehicle in about 18 months. When the car comes to market, it will wear the Saab name, but not the marque's well-known griffin logo. Reuters reports that the company will produce EVs based on the Saab 9-3 platform, with intentions to sell these vehicles primarily in the Chinese market. Due to the continued use of the distinctive griffin head logo by commercial truckmaker Scania and the Saab aerospace group, NEVS was only granted access to the Saab name, not its emblem.
