1996 Saab 900 Se Convertible 2-door 2.5l on 2040-cars
Hatfield, Pennsylvania, United States
We call her "Sally"! That's right "Sally Saab"! She is old and dependable just like grandma! Runs great but has some issues. Most importantly the roof does not work currently. I repaired all of the motor assembly's and they work great! it just needs the roof CPU replaced and programmed. The good news is I bought one on ebay and you can have it with the sale of the car. Also the roof leaks (I think it is a seal in the front and it only leaks when it rains real hard.) This car runs great and would make a great first car for someone or great run around car. Recently the check engine light came on but it does that sometimes and the mechanic usually finds nothing and resets it. However I did not check it this time. You will see in the pictures some dings and a scrape on the door. The tires are newer and the mechanic at SAAB NET said this is a great one in great running condition! The paint is a little faded but all around it is a great car for a low price with no reserve. Please note: I have tried to be as honest as i could with description of this car. PLEASE do not bid unless you intend to buy this car! Your bid is contract. That means if you are the high bidder i expect you to buy this car no exceptions. Sorry about this, but I noticed the quality of eBayers is diminishing. If you have questions about this car ASK BEFORE YOU BID! |

Court extends Saab reorganization bid until end of November
Fri, 10 Oct 2014Saab parent company National Electric Vehicle Sweden refuses to go down without a fight. After a recent trip to court, the company is emerging with an extension on its reorganization until November 29. According to Europe Online Magazine, there's also an appointed committee of creditors and union representatives to monitor NEVS' restructuring process.
NEVS still isn't giving up hope of saving itself, and the company claims there are has two potential strategies for getting back on its feet. The main plan is to "finalize the negotiations with the two Asian automotive manufacturers," according to a press release. Those firms still aren't identified, but Mahindra may be involved. According to Europe Online Magazine, one of the businesses is looking to take partial ownership of NEVS, and the other is considering some sort of cooperation with it.
If that plan fails, the second option is to take advantage of the factory and become a contract manufacturer.
Saab 900 SPG is the latest Petrolicious love story
Thu, 03 Oct 2013The latest video from the crew at Petrolicious covers one funky Swede - a 1989 Saab 900 SPG. Produced from 1978 to 1998, the 900 enjoyed a long history, and thanks to its iconic look, it's quickly becoming a modern classic for the off-kilter car enthusiast. The SPG, short for Special Performance Group, makes this a particularly rare find, with owner Jordan Melville saying, "I didn't even realize what I had at the time."
Melville gives a rundown of his life with the 900 and his passion for Saab overall, even reflecting on that dark day that saw the Swedish brand closed its doors. As always, the videography is excellent and the story is intriguing in this latest video from Petrolicious. You can view the entire video down below.
Super sleeper Saab 900 does 174 mph in the standing mile
Sun, 14 Apr 2013Somewhere behind Hennessey setting a new top speed record at this year's Texas Mile with its camouflage Ford GT, a stock-looking 1996 Saab 900T pulled up to the line to see what it could do. The dealer showroom wheels wouldn't offer any indication that the 2.0-liter four-cylinder under the hood was getting help from a Garrett turbocharger, a tuned ECU and E85 gas to put out 465 horsepower at the front wheels.
Knowing that, it shouldn't be too much of a surprise that at the other end of the mile the sky blue Swedish wonder was doing 174 miles per hour. The four-cylinder class at the Texas Mile has plenty such rockets, too, this Swede coming just behind a Dodge Neon that did 175.8 mph. You can watch the Saab do its thing in the video below.
