Low mileage project 1987 Saab 900 Turbo hatchback with 133K original miles. Excellent motor and tranny. Previously lady owned ( not sure if original owner, bought it from a customer at work as a work in progress ) solid body with NO RUST and clean under side. Healthy oil cooled garrett T3 turbo with absolutely no smoke!!!! Wasn't my main car, but drove it for 2 years problem free. It does have some issues that existed since day one, but never stopped it from going. Such things like possible clutch master cylinder (meant to bleed the system but work 6 days a week and have 5 other projects), needs passenger side drive shaft, and rear passenger side shock mount welded due to nasty construction on my commute to work. Also needs bakes. Interior is in very decent shape with cloth seats that don't have a single tear, but headliner needs replacing and needs small miscellaneous things. Would also recommend a full respray as the clear coat is peeling on the hood and front part of the roof. Very interesting color 205G Malachite Green Metallic on tan. Definitely "sleeper" material. Haven't had the chance to fully figure the car out because I'm mainly into BMW's and have a lot of toys. Only thing I "had" to do since owning it was fix the exhaust. Already had a brand new stock muffler, but bad catalytic converter. Cut the cat and threw a straight pipe on since it's over 25 years and doesn't need inspection here in CT (check your local laws). Sounds amazing and not too obnoxious. Also have other rare parts I'm willing to negotiate if interested, otherwise they will be listed separately. Please feel free to ask questions in case I forgot to mention something, like I said, this car was on my back burner. Car is driveable, but recommend tow. Man in a convertible drives in the rain with a Christmas tree

A man in a convertible had his holiday cheer extinguished thanks to England's infamous weather. Nicholas Dodd saw this sad, soaked through couple while driving down the A38 near Plymouth, Devon, according to the Daily Mirror. Dodd told the publication he couldn't believe his eyes when he saw a Saab, top down, in a pouring rain storm. That's not all. The top was down because of the large Christmas tree wedged in the back seat. "We couldn't believe what we were seeing," Dodd said. "It was crazy - especially with the weather - but I guess he just wanted to get his Christmas tree home anyway he could." The Saab driver's female passenger also looks less than pleased by the sudden squall. "His missus was beside him but they didn't seem to find it as funny as we did," Dodd said. "He was just keeping his head down in a vain attempt to avoid the rain but was getting a real soaking." Vampire Weekend burns for Saab

Or is it the other way around?
Could Vampire Weekend be trying to tell me something? A just-launched music video for the indie rock band's new single Diane Young features what looks like a pretty mint black Saab 900 Turbo Convertible being torched in slow-motion. In fact, with the exception of a brief, flickering cameo by a 900 three-door of a similar vintage, that's all that there is to the nearly three-minute long video. It's both sad and oddly beautiful.
Coincidentally, I have a similar-looking turbocharged black Saab convertible sitting in my garage, and I've been reluctantly pondering its sale this very week. Admittedly, mine is a later model (2001 9-3 Viggen), but tri-spokes and more tapered rump aside, it looks eerily identical. And while mine isn't mired in flames (I love it too much to torch it), through no fault of its own, it's been sitting motionless far too regularly. Thankfully, I see a better future for it than the droptop seen above.

GM recalls 500K Chevy Camaros for ignition-switch defect

General Motors issued a recall for more than a half million Chevrolet Camaros on Friday morning because of an ignition-switch safety hazard that mirrors the one at the center of the company's current crisis.
The problem affects Camaro models from the 2010 to 2014 model years. Approximately 464,712 cars are impacted in the United States, and 511,528 overall in North America. GM will alter the Camaro key to a more standard design, and will notify car owners with a recall notice in the mail.
In an announcement, the company said the ignition switches on the Camaros are fundamentally different parts than the older ignition switches found on defective cars that are responsible for killing at least 13 people and causing 54 crashes.
