Saab 9-5 Linear 2.3t 2003 Blue on 2040-cars
Woodland Hills, California, United States
It's a very good car - saabs can run for miles. I would keep this car since I do like it very much, but I have my heart set on buying a hybrid. This saab gets about 25-35 mpg. It is sport, so I can use the sport power. The seats are leather and in good condition. It has a moon roof. It has a clean title and is automatic and in the past few years that I've been driving it, it has never left me, stalled, or done anything unpredictable. The registration was just done a few weeks ago, as well.
It does have a few issues, but all the issues are fixable. Issues: The radio is in working condition - but it's locked, which means the saab dealership has to unlock it. Also, the car shakes when it's stopped, but I just switch the gears from D to N in order to calm the car down, but honestly, the shaking isn't a big deal, since this car has never left me. I just got an oil change, plus a brake inspection and overall vehicle inspection. They say the car is in complete working order. Tags and registration are current. Also, the AC and the heater are in great working order. |

Spyker's $3B lawsuit against GM for blocking Saab sale thrown out
Tue, 11 Jun 2013US District Judge Gershwin Drain has dismissed a $3-billion lawsuit Spyker filed against General Motors. In the suit, Spyker accused GM of attempting to bankrupt Saab after the US automaker had already sold the company to Spyker. GM in effect blocked the sale of Saab to China's Zhejiang Youngman Lotus Automobile Company by prohibiting the transfer of some of its intellectual property. But the court found that GM had a "contractual right" to approve or disapprove any change of ownership. Furthermore, Reuters reports Judge Drain said the contract between GM and Spyker "is clear, unambiguous and absolute" on the matter.
GM, meanwhile, says it is pleased with the ruling. Spyker CEO Victor Muller has not said whether or not his company will appeal the ruling. The Dutch automaker is expected to make a final decision once the court issues its written order on the case.
You can read the official Spyker press release about the court ruling below for more information.
GM recalls 500K Chevy Camaros for ignition-switch defect
Fri, 13 Jun 2014General Motors issued a recall for more than a half million Chevrolet Camaros on Friday morning because of an ignition-switch safety hazard that mirrors the one at the center of the company's current crisis.
The problem affects Camaro models from the 2010 to 2014 model years. Approximately 464,712 cars are impacted in the United States, and 511,528 overall in North America. GM will alter the Camaro key to a more standard design, and will notify car owners with a recall notice in the mail.
In an announcement, the company said the ignition switches on the Camaros are fundamentally different parts than the older ignition switches found on defective cars that are responsible for killing at least 13 people and causing 54 crashes.
eBay Find of the Day: 1985 Saab Turbo Limo is the ultimate high school reunion ride
Wed, 18 Jul 2012Yes, we've seen this 1985 Saab 900 Turbo limo for sale before. But somehow, this time is just seems more right. And we've got more pictures this go-around.
With the Saab brand now dormant and little hope for a true renaissance, save for one that comes in name only, Saab's future must lie in the celebration of great cars of its past. And what better way to celebrate the wonderful Saab 900 than to chop it in half and turn it into a freaking limousine?
Claimed to have been built by a Denver area Saab specialist, this five-speed manual 900 Turbo is listed with a Buy It Now of $8,500. It's actually surprisingly well turned-out, too, with a pretty decent interior that sticks to real Saab seats, avoiding the crushed-velvet or button-festooned lounge chair look. While this seems rather spendy for a well-used limousine, good luck finding another one like it. And besides, that's a lot less than the $12,500 asking price from back in 2010.
