Aero With Saab Secure 3-year Premier Warranty, Fully Serviced, Wonderful Driver on 2040-cars
New York, New York, United States
|
This listing is for a very rare 2010 Saab 9-5 Aero XWD finished in Diamond Silver Metallic over Black drilled leather WITH A WARRANTY from Saab Secure! I purchased this car last year after a very long search to find the right one...I waited forever to find the right Aero with low miles and all the options just like the North American press car. I am a very enthusiastic car enthusiast and love the unique styling of the NG 9-5 Aero....and the fact that you never pass yourself on the road. A very unique and beautiful car! I tracked this example down and purchased it along with a 3-year Saab Secure Premier transferable warranty.
I am offering it on the market because I just moved to Manhattan...the city where you don't really need a car to get around town. I care too much about the Aero to let it sit in a garage collecting dust for months at a time (it's a bit expensive to store cars here too), hence the eBay listing...my loss, your gain and hopefully to a loving home. This Aero just had it's full service at an authorized Saab dealer and all recommended items replaced and/or upgraded. A full-synthetic oil change, upgraded K&N air filter installed, full alignment, and transmission service were just completed. It drives flawlessly and the XWD system is AMAZING in the snow and grippy on a curvy back road...a very powerful performer! The car also comes with both Smart Keys with new batteries installed and is currently wearing newish Michelin Pilot Super Sports for Spring. I stress the importance of the Saab Secure Warranty with these cars, they do not make them any longer and most examples on the market (if any) do not come with a Saab Secure Warranty. This example currently has the aforementioned 3-year transferable Saab Secure Premier Warranty. It really gives me peace of mind while driving which you will not find with other available examples. This is a very well looked-after machine and I am the second owner. You can view the Saab Secure Premier Care Warranty by Google searching and clicking on the "Saab Secure" website and viewing the "Extended Coverage Information" option on the right. Saab Secure covers everything leading up to/as well as the Premier Care section, it is the best available. Options/features on this example include:
The car has a clean KY title (where I moved from) and is currently located in New York, NY. I am more than happy to show the car, just eBay message me to schedule a viewing time. I am more than happy to answer any questions or send additional photos, video, or information, please message me or call me on my cell (281)797-8021. If I do not answer, please leave a detailed voice mail. This car is sold as-is, where-is, with no guarantees. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE for anything that happens with the car after I hand it over to you. Period. It is your responsibility to view the car, drive the car, ask any questions, or request any information BEFORE YOU BID. By bidding on this car you are agreeing to buy this car. If you win this auction for higher than the reserve price, by bidding, you have agreed to purchase the car. Make sure this is the car that you want before you bid. If you have any question about whether or not you need more information or are not sure about ANYTHING on this car, do not bid. Again, it is your responsibility and due diligence to inspect the car, ask any questions, or request any information BEFORE YOU BID. By bidding, you agree that all questions have been asked and you are certain of the condition of this car. By bidding, you agree that you are happy with the condition of this car and agree that you have asked any and all questions and received all information needed for you to happily purchase this vehicle. I have been burned by idiots on eBay in the past and have zero tolerance. I am more than happy to provide you with as much as I can during the active auction and before the auction ends. The Saab Secure Premier Care Warranty is what I purchased when I bought the car late last year. I am not personally offering ANY warranty, rather, the Vehicle's warranty can be transferred to you by Saab Secure. Again, I am not responsible and am offering absolutely no warranty or liability for anything myself. The vehicle currently has a Saab Secure warranty and it can be transferred to a new owner by Saab Secure, not me. I am more than happy to provide any interested buyer with a copy or image of the Saab Secure warranty document provided to me when I purchased it last year. There is a phone number that you can call to ask how to transfer a warranty from them. Thanks again and please feel free to call or message me with any questions, information requests, photo requests, video requests, or to set up a viewing appointment. This should all be done before you bid. |

NEVS' reorganization plan approved after all?
Fri, 29 Aug 2014What a difference a day makes. Thursday, we reported that current Saab parent National Electric Vehicle Sweden had its application for creditor protection denied by the Swedish court for being "vague and completely undocumented." But NEVS was back in court on Friday, and this time the application was granted. However, the story continued to get weirder as defense contractor Saab AB allegedly revoked NEVS' rights to use the Saab name.
NEVS did put out a brief press release confirming the court decision saying: "The District court of Vänersborg, Sweden, today August 29 approved the application for reorganization from National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB." The company allegedly has over 90 creditors, and according to Reuters, it owes them roughly 400 million Swedish krona ($57.56 million). The business says that it is in negotiations with two, unnamed companies to get additional funding.
Also, according to Reuters, Saab AB, best known for making fighter planes, has revoked NEVS' rights to the Saab brand name because the company's application for creditor protection gave the defense contractor that right. When NEVS bought Saab, it only acquired the automaker's physical assets, and had to negotiate for the rights to use the name.
Boeing, Saab take first flight in T-X trainer 36 months after starting development
Wed, Dec 21 2016This post is appearing on Autoblog Military, Autoblog's sub-site dedicated to the vehicles, aircraft and ships of the world's armed forces. Bringing a new fighter from drawing board to its first flight is generally a lengthy endeavor, taking years of planning and tweaking and engineering. Or, at least it normally does. Boeing and Saab just took their new joint-developed training fighter, the T-X, out for its first spin just 36 months after starting development. According to Saab's deputy program manager for the T-X, Eddy De la Motte, that's half the time it usually takes to get a new jet in the sky. "We went from [critical design review] to first flight in 12 months. We don't do that very much at the Boeing Company," Boeing's program manager for the T-X, Ted Torgerson told Defense News. "I don't want to say it has not been done, but for a manned aircraft to go through a complete production-ready design, that is as fast and as efficient as we've ever been through it." Boeing/Saab's first test flight was a simple, 55-minute matter for Boeing test pilots Steven Schmidt and Dan Draeger. The pair took the plane up to 10,000 feet and hit speeds of 231 knots (265 miles per hour) while running handling checks on the twin-tail, single-engine jet. "I've been a part of this team since the beginning, and it was really exciting to be the first to train and fly," pilot Schmidt said. "The aircraft met all expectations. It's well designed and offers superior handling characteristics. The cockpit is intuitive, spacious and adjustable, so everything is within easy reach." "It was a smooth flight and a successful test mission," Draeger, who rode shotgun in the instructor's seat said in an official release. "I had a great all-around view throughout the flight from the instructor's seat, which is critical during training." Boeing/Saab's T-X is one of four jets competing for the role as the US military's next training aircraft. Northrop Grumman is fielding a clean-sheet design that allegedly flew earlier this year, while Lockheed Martin and Raytheon are modifying existing designs with partners – the South Korean KAI T-50 for Lockheed and the Leonardo M-346 for Raytheon. Saab plant reopens, production to resume by year's end?
Mon, 19 Aug 2013Saab is gearing up to start production of the 9-3 again in September, two years after the last exampled rolled off the assembly line at the company's Trollhättan factory, Aftonbladet reports. Saab's new owner, National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB (NEVS), a Chinese-Japanese consortium created solely to buy Saab, says that the model's parts supply is the bottleneck in the production process, understandable since many of Saab's suppliers closed after it stopped production two years ago. The automaker also needs to establish a new dealership network. It is not entirely clear where Saab will market their new models, but North America is not expected to figure into their plans, at least initially.
Almost 400 factory employees are reportedly back working at Trollhättan, and Saab is looking to recruit 180 workers to help with production, presuming the factory can overcome its supply issues and go back online in the fall.
The new 9-3 is understood to be something short of an all-new car, a revision of the old 9-3 that started production in 2002. It will reportedly be offered initially as a four-door sedan and two-door convertible, and it will have a turbocharged engine, according to NEVS, which we expect will be a four cylinder. An electric 9-3 could come as early as next year. Turbocharged engines are part of Saab's DNA, NEVS Vice President Mattias Bergman has stated, and future Saab models will have them - despite the automaker's planned progression toward electric vehicles. The 9-3 will get small facelifts over time, says Mikael Östlund, a press officer at NEVS.
