2011 Saab 9-5 95 Turbo 6 Sedan Awd All Wheel Drive With 38k Miles Beautiful on 2040-cars
Fort Dodge, Iowa, United States
Hello from Fort Dodge Iowa!....Here is my All Wheel Drive (AWD) Saab 9-5 new generation, 2011 with the Cadillac V6. It has Saab Fighter Jet “Heads Up Display” (HUD) too which is real fun! (no Nav) I just drove this car to Sioux Falls in snow packed/Ice filled roads! It is unreal how well this car grips the road even without snow tires!! Put your loved ones in the SAFEST ride on the road with AWD SAAB!! Super clean and “as new” with only 38,000 miles!! Factory remote start. I have the owners manual and both key FOBs. It also has “lane departure warning” and “park assist” for locating a parking spot and it uses the front and rear sensors to show how close you are getting to objects too. The interior is absolutely beautiful. The leather is in new condition-no rips tears, wear spots-it is one of the cleanest cars we have owned. It has the slap stick shifters for those who enjoy the 'manual' shifting ability. It is bluetooth capable so you can pair it to your phone and has XM radio. The panaramic sunroof extends into the back seat for the passengers in the back to enjoy also. The front seats are heated and has the dual climate controls. The tires are 18" and are about 40%. I use to think the Saab 9000's had the most storage space but a recent loading of this new 9-5 with fold down rear seat backs only (the bottom cushion stays put and gives you all the space on the floor in the rear where passengers feet go) makes me think this is the new "Saab hauler". As I always do with my Saab's I want you to be totally happy with this Saab. If anything I say about the car is not right I will refund your deposit, no questions asked. As some of you know I usually collect many (and sell only a few) vintage Saabs but every now and then I drive something a little more modern! Feel free to call and talk to me if you prefer. Thanks.....Tom Donney in Fort Dodge, Iowa. 515-368-7222 Many more pictures too @ tomdonneymotors website

NEV deal to buy Saab delayed
Fri, 03 Aug 2012Remember a month and a half ago when we told you that Saab will "soldier on?" Well, we should have written "stand at attention."
According to SaabsUnited, the deal for National Electric Vehicle Sweden to buy the remaining Saab assets didn't close on schedule. In fact, it's been delayed by "a month, perhaps more." NEVS also seems to have indicated that it's not going to be answering any more questions about the deal until it's completed.
NEVS is supposedly planning on building electric cars based on the design that would have been the next-generation 9-3. The company itself is a partnership between a Chinese energy company and a Japanese investment group.
GM recalling 316k vehicles due to headlamp faults
Mon, Dec 1 2014General Motors has announced a recall covering 316,357 vehicles globally, due to the possibility of sporadic or permanent failure of the low-beam headlamps. 273,182 of these vehicles are in the United States, while the remaining affected units are in Canada, Mexico, and elsewhere. This recall includes the 2006-09 Buick LaCrosse (pictured above), 2006-07 Chevy TrailBlazer and TrailBlazer EXT, 2006-07 GMC Envoy and 2006 GMC Envoy XL, 2006-07 Buick Rainier, 2006-08 Saab 9-7X, and 2006-08 Isuzu Ascender. In an email sent to Autoblog, General Motors explains that if the headlamp driver modules are not functioning correctly, "the low-beam headlamps and daytime running lamps could intermittently or permanently fail to illuminate." GM states that this problem does not affect things like high-beams, turn signals, marker lamps, or foglamps. As of this writing, GM states it "has not been able to confirm whether the HDMs in these vehicles caused any vehicle accidents." The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has been notified, but the recall has not yet posted to the government agency's website. Scroll down to read the full details in GM's email. General Motors is recalling 273,182 Buick LaCrosse sedans and Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, Saab and Isuzu midsize SUVs in the U.S. for possible intermittent or permanent loss of low beam headlamps. Affected models are: 2006-2009 Buick LaCrosse sedans; 2006-2007 Chevrolet TrailBlazer and 2006 TrailBlazer EXT; 2006-2007 GMC Envoy and 2006 Envoy XL; 2006-2007 Buick Rainier; 2006-2008 Saab 9-7X and 2006-2008 Isuzu Ascender midsize SUVs. If the headlamp driver modules is not operating correctly, the low-beam headlamps and daytime running lamps could intermittently or permanently fail to illuminate. This condition does not affect the high-beam headlamps, marker lamps, turn signals, or fog lamps. GM has not been able to confirm whether the HDMs in these vehicles caused any vehicle accidents. The total population, including the U.S., Canada, Mexico and exports from North America is 316,357. The NHTSA was sent the Part 573 information for this recall on November 25. It has not yet posted to the NHTSA website. Saab plant reopens, production to resume by year's end?
Mon, 19 Aug 2013Saab is gearing up to start production of the 9-3 again in September, two years after the last exampled rolled off the assembly line at the company's Trollhättan factory, Aftonbladet reports. Saab's new owner, National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB (NEVS), a Chinese-Japanese consortium created solely to buy Saab, says that the model's parts supply is the bottleneck in the production process, understandable since many of Saab's suppliers closed after it stopped production two years ago. The automaker also needs to establish a new dealership network. It is not entirely clear where Saab will market their new models, but North America is not expected to figure into their plans, at least initially.
Almost 400 factory employees are reportedly back working at Trollhättan, and Saab is looking to recruit 180 workers to help with production, presuming the factory can overcome its supply issues and go back online in the fall.
The new 9-3 is understood to be something short of an all-new car, a revision of the old 9-3 that started production in 2002. It will reportedly be offered initially as a four-door sedan and two-door convertible, and it will have a turbocharged engine, according to NEVS, which we expect will be a four cylinder. An electric 9-3 could come as early as next year. Turbocharged engines are part of Saab's DNA, NEVS Vice President Mattias Bergman has stated, and future Saab models will have them - despite the automaker's planned progression toward electric vehicles. The 9-3 will get small facelifts over time, says Mikael Östlund, a press officer at NEVS.
